Bath Time With Soap and Glory

Before I became embedded in the world of Lush products, my bathroom was full of mainly Soap and Glory products. I still love them and some of these gems I have had for years and still repurchase them when I am running low. You can never go wrong with Soap and Glory products especially when they are usually on 3for2 in boots!

A little product I have thrown into this mix because I have recently really enjoyed using it in the shower is the Peaches and Clean Cleansing Milk. I included this in a post way way back in January 2014 so it has been a long old favourite of mine that I seemed to have forgotten about for a long while. I recently re-purchased it and I have really enjoyed how soft and smooth it leaves my skin. It is nice as a refreshing wash after you have cleaned your face of all the impurities.

The Clean, Girls Body Wash is an old favourite of mine which is one product I dual use as a makeup brush cleaner and I can't decide which way I prefer. The wash lathers up so much you only need a small amount of product to cover your whole body, which is also great for when you clean your makeup brushes. It leaves your skin really soft and clean and feel so creamy when you work it in. I have had this bottle for what feels like years and I still have so much left, even after using it for cleaning my brushes every time!

For when I need a big re-fresh and want to really make my skin smell amazing I like to use the Sugar Crush body wash purely because it smells a-m-a-zing! I don't even know how to describe the smell apart from sugar covered fruit. When I have had a long day or I feel really disgusting and grubby, I love using this product to make me feel human again.

I have only ever had one favourite body scrub for years and that has always been The Scrub of Your Life. I like to call this scrub the best of both worlds as it has lots of beads in the product that works great at scrubbing your skin super smooth, plus once it mixes with water the product then turns into more of a wash as well as the beads so it is like using two products at once.

The Righteous Butter is an old classic in most peoples books and rightly so, the tub you get is huge and the product lasts so long! I have tried a lot of body butters over the years but I always come back to the Soap and Glory Righteous Butter as it works every time and isn't greasy like some body butters. It sinks in quite fast as well so you don't end up standing like a statue for half an hour.

I have another Bath Time post including some of my Body shop favourites to show you soon. Let me know if you think there are any products worth trying out?

Baylis & Harding Mini Collection

Baylis and Harding is one of favourite brands, I have been using it for a few years now and I have loved every product I have used. My boyfriend (who knows me so well) bought me another set for Christmas and so my mini collection has grown ever more so I thought I would tell you about the products I currently have :)

I keep them all separate to my other body products in this little cardboard box I got some fluffy socks in at Christmas, the box is super cute so I couldn't throw it away.

Here is what my collections includes:

Left to Right
  • Moonlight Lavender body wash
  • Moonlight Lavender body lotion
  • Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit indulgent moisturising body lotion

Left to Right
  • Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit luxury shower crème x2
  • Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit balancing body wash x2
Extra Mini Bottles
  • Wild Rose & Raspberry Leaf moisturising lotion
  • Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit moisturising lotion

As you can see I have doubles of some of them because I love them so much and I go through bottles quite quick. The consistencies of the lotions are rich and super moisturising and the body washes lather up so much you only need a little bit of product to go a long way. They all smell amazing, I always end up sniffing my skin while I'm on bed after my shower.

These products are perfect gifts for Christmas and birthdays, you cant go wrong with some body products for a present. I hope my collection continues to grow, I might need a bigger box though...

Soap and Glory Candy Crush Trio

I know I am a bit late to review these products but I thought I'd wait until the hype around these items died down before I gave you guys my input.

I think I should start off by saying I am a huge Soap and Glory addict. Most of my body products are S&G and whenever something new comes out I cant help myself but be drawn in by the name. I purchased the Sugar Crush range more than 6 months ago and I've only just got round to using them, that just shows you how much body products I have to get through!

Now the body wash is everything you would want from a wash; its a thin consistency which means you only need a little bit to go a very long way, it lathers up nicely and omg it smells soo soo amazing!

The body scrub leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and clean, it is perfect for them days when you feel like your carrying the day on your skin (if anyone knows what I mean) I like to use this first thing in the morning to get rid if any crap on my skin from the day before. It really works well on getting rid of any dead skin or dirty.

S&G body butters are my favourite thing in the world. They always make my skin feel so lush and soft without fail, so now add in a sweet sugar smell to that and you have the perfect product!

These are another loved range added to my body products collection and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't last long as I have been using them non stop these last two weeks. I think once you start using them you get obsessed with having them in your regular routine. These are well worth a buy! :)

I blame BOOTS! Soap & Glory and Lush purchases

In my first every proper blog post I said that I was putting myself on a 'Soap & Glory/anything body wash related' ban after getting loads of products for Christmas and going crazy on the Boots website over the new year. Well I lasted for a month and a half... Its not my fault though! I BLAME BOOTS. They sent me a coupon to get an extra 100 points next time I buy anything from Soap & Glory AND they currently have 3 for 2 on all the S&G products so I had to really! *tries to hid the shopping bags from my mum who will actually kill me if she sees them*

Anyway I thought id show you guys which ones I picked up, mainly so I could feel that I had a proper useful purpose for buying more, so enjoy :)

I have a whole box of body lotions and butters so I steered clear of anything like that, I could not justify buying more! So I opted for two body washes and a body scrub. The first body wash is the Whipped Clean Luxe Cream Wash Shower Butter, I got a bit star struck by how long the name was and thought 'hey I love body butters let try the shower butter'. The second body wash is the Clean Girls skin softening creamy body wash which I saw and thought looked and smelt nice. The scrub I picked up was the only one of the three that I had heard of before and wanted to try but it was always sold out when I went to buy it. Its the scrub 'em and leave 'em body scrub which I've wanted to try for a long time now. The really sad thing is I cant actually use these until I've used up the stacks of other body scrubs and washes I've already opened and not finished :(

As I was leaving I also noticed the S&G smooth operator lip butter balm which I read a post about a few days earlier and wanted to try so I thought as I was in the shop anyway, I would get it too to try. I've already opened this and tried it out and my first impressions of it is that the pot is really small, too small for the £5 I paid for it. It also doesn't spread that well on your lips and so I had to keep going back for more product to cover the majority of my lips. It does keep my lips smooth but my first impressions are that it doesn't last that long.

Lastly I popped into Lush to pick up a product that a have read a lot of reviews on recently so I wanted to try it out myself. My skin has been very, lets call it rebellious recently, and around my chin I have constantly been getting spot after spot after spot. I watched Wonderful You's video of the Lush products she recently purchased and she raved about this Tea Tree Toner, saying that it helped her with her bad spots, so she basically convinced me to buy it.

I'll write a post in the coming weeks of how I got on with all these products, once I've finished up with the body products I am currently using, in case your thinking of buying them but are unsure whether they are right for you :)
