Olay Total Effects Blemish Care Moisturiser

This face moisturiser is my new little gem. No matter whether I am wearing makeup or not, I use this on my face everyday. It is great to put underneath primers, concealers and foundations and doesn't effect any of them.

I picked it up on a whim while I was out shopping and thought 'hey I don't like any of my face moisturisers at the moment, I'll try this one'. I have a few at home already which I don't like using in the morning as I think my makeup doesn't apply normally afterwards so because of this problem, I just didn't apply moisturiser, but with this moisturiser I can put my makeup on straight afterwards and it stills goes on nicely and lasts probably longer.

My skin is definitely smoother since I have been applying this moisturiser everyday so it does what it says in the name. I do not know if the anti-aging side of the moisturiser works as I am only 19 so don't have old wrinkly skin.. but I have faith that if my skin started going south *touches wood* this cream would my out.  I have a feeling that it wouldn't last as long as my other moisturisers as the tub is smaller than my other pots and I've already gone through quite a lot of it already, but I would be willing to pay the money for it. It is normally £9.99 on boots.com but I got it in my local B&M shop for £3.99. So at £3.99 I don't mind going through it quickly.

This is the end of this mini review for you, if you enjoy these let me know and I'll continue as I few more goodies to write about for you guys :)

Lip Favourites | Soap and Glory

I have been wearing these two Soap and Glory lip glosses non stop recently, they have not left my handbag once. I was going to put them in my February favourites post but I somehow forgot all about them when it came to writing it. Between lip glosses and lip sticks I tend to choose lipsticks more times than lip glosses just because I think they look better and last longer. These two lip glosses have changed my opinion though, they have converted me to the gloss side.
The sexy mother pucker lip gloss is really pigmented and looks really nice while the extreme plump gloss doesn't give my lips any colour but does make them look wet and shiny (in a good way because that doesn't sound appealing... Haha) and obviously makes them tingle (which feels funny but good) and look bigger. You won't start to look like Jordan though don't worry!
I think these two are really good buys with the lipgloss being £9 and the plumping gloss being £10. They are worth the money definitely!

Ready for spring | Nail vanishes

I am itching for the time when I can go outside without a coat on and rock a cute floral dress without freezing to death, so when I see lots of spring coloured clothes come into work I get a little giddy inside. So it inspired me to write a few posts about the things that I can't wait to start using/wearing when spring properly starts.

I'm going to start with my favourite nail polishes and after I will post about the clothes that I have purchased over the last few months that I haven't got a chance to wear yet due to the weather being miserable.

So starting off with my nails...

I apologise for a few of my products being gifts from people so I cant give you a website or colour code for some of them, if I do find them on any websites or their names I will let you guys know :)

I have this gorgeous I guess you would call it a shimmering cream colour by Fearne which doesn't have any indication of what the colour is called. I got this in a set for Christmas and I have tried to find it again on the Boots website but it seems to have been taken off which is a bit annoying but anyway. This is a really nice subtle colour and goes really well on your ring finger for a bit of contrast with maybe a pink or peach colour on the rest of your nails. Its doesn't have a thick consistency but it also isn't really thin, its kind of perfect in the middle.

Next I have two colours that I got in another set for Christmas I'm sorry! which go so well together and will be perfect with pretty dresses and when the sun is out. These are from Boots I believe and the first colour is a very pure baby pink while the other one is a darker bright pink. They are very girlie and have lasted a good few days while I have been at work so well done to them!

I have two Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine polishes in 306 Greenberry and 235 Blueberry which are such lovely colours. Every time I wear either one of these nail polishes, someone will compliment me on them and ask about them. The consistency of this nail polishes are amazing, where as with other makes where you have to put two coats on just to have a even layer, these nail polishes just glide on really easily and you only need one layer for a full coverage. The colours as well are so vibrate, they are a really nice mint green (which doesn't look much different to the blue in the photo) and a pastel blue which are perfect for the spring and summer.

Lastly I have another Fearne nail polish in a very pale baby blue which is lovely. You can either use one coat for a subtle colour or two coats for a more brighter colour.

I know I will be going between these few colours when the weather warms up and I can't wait for that time! I hate the time between Christmas and spring when the weather is horrible but you can't focus on Christmas anymore :(

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this little post and look out for my spring clothing post soon :)

Argon hair products | Are the legends true?

I was introduced to argon hair products a year and a half ago after my hair was slowing giving up on life. It was really dry and no matter what I did with it, it just look dead. I was going to cut the majority of it off until I found my holy grail in hair products.

I do feel like I always like everything I write about so it seems like I'm easily pleased but I mean it when I say that these products really saved me.

First of all, the hair oils;
The first argon product I purchased was the hair oil just from bodycare for maybe £2 something. I started putting it on the ends of my hair while it was wet and then blow drying my hair. I saw a difference in my hair imediently, I was amazed at how healthy and shiny my hair looked already after just one use. I'm not too sure way or how these works so well on hair but it is just amazing. I got the little sample size oil in my February Birchbox but I don't even need it. The bodycare oil has lasted me sooo sooo long it is ridiculous!

Then I saw these shampoo and conditioner in just some cheap shop (it may have been bodycare again) and thought I may as well try them. Just like the oil, the shampoo and conditioner makes my hair look so healthy and shiny after I use it. When my hair is having a dull day I like to use this shampoo and conditioner to give my hair a bit of life again.

One problem with using argon products is that it is very hard to style you hair after you've used them. Because the oil makes your hair so shiny and smooth, when you try to style your hair up or curl it, it doesn't last that long which can be really annoying.

Apart from that one problem, I still love these products so much. Especially since even if one day you don't use the oil when you come out of the bath or shower, if you have used it that week your hair is still healthy.

If you are considering cutting your hair because you think it is the only way to save it, I would recommend you try argon products first. You might as well try them considering they are only a few quid :)

Sunshine in a bottle

I am a very lazy tanner. I usually tan myself once, maybe two times once a year and than either forget to do it again and keep it up or can't be bothered to do it again and give up. Then I see photos of people with amazing tans and the cycle starts all over again...

Not any more!
STANDING DECLARATION: I promise myself that I will keep up with my tan and tan myself at least once a week. Now I don't want to turn into them girls who look like they have been rubbing dirt on their skin but I do want to have a nice summer glow.

I think I've found the perfect product to help me keep my promise. I have heard a few beauty gurus talking about this tan and all of them claimed that they didn't get any streaks when they used it, which is exactly what you want from a tan. So I looked around on eBay for the gradual tanner in medium to dark and I found one which was the same price as on the official Lauren Goodger website BUT you also got a free tanning mit so I choose to go with eBay. Here is the one I purchased.

I have used it a few times now and I do love it already. Lauren Goodger and her fellow Essex cast members are known for their ridiculously fake dark tans but to my surprise, the tan is subtle and you can use just a small amount of product to get a little glow on your skin. Obviously you can add more layers to build it up into a full on fake tan.

I used the free tanning mit both times and it did help my tan apply streak free and even. I did have a problem with some of the tan coming through one side of the mit which is just a fabric material and staining my hand but, I plan to wear a rubber glove under the tanning mit next time to avoid that problem.

The tan lasted a good week on my skin and that was just one thin layer so the staying power is really good. It did go patchy on my feet over the weekend when I went out in town from dancing in heels all night but I do believe most tans do that especially when you are dancing all night and get a bit sweaty (eww I know)

This may sound weird but I love the smell of fake tan, I don't know what it is about the smell but I love getting little wifs of it. This tan has the typical tan smell which isn't too strong or overpowering that the people around you would notice it and comment.

The best thing about this tan? It isn't messy to apply. I used to use St Moriz tanning mousse which used to go everywhere, on my side, on my floor, it was horrible! But with this gradual tanner it doesn't drip YAY.

Overall I think its fair to say that this is one of the best tanning products I have used, the product is easy to apply without mess and doesn't leave you streaky. I think it will last me a long time as I only need a small amount of product to make a different in my skin colour.

I would recommend it to everyone who reads this. If any of you have tried it tell me whether you like it as well :)

Empties #1

I'm going to start doing 'empties' posts where I share with you the products that I have used up recently and give my opinions about the items. I didn't realise how enjoyable it would be to use up a product and think 'oo yay I have another item for my empties post', I know I'm extremely sad... Anyway, every time I have finished a product I have popped it in this box, awaiting the time it would make a reappearance on my side for me to write about it here for you, and there are quite a few products in the box now so here we go :)

Soap and Glory Night in Shinning Amour
This is the first night cream I've ever properly used and I would definitely recommend it. Firstly the packaging is really cute, and secondly it is a good night cream. It smells alright... not the best smelling cream I'll be honest, it doesn't have the normal Soap and Glory smell for sure but its not a nasty smell. It does hydrates your skin really well though, my skin always feels really smooth the next morning when I wake up.

FCUK polished body wash
I got a FCUK set for my birthday or Christmas a few years ago and I only started using it recently and it included this body wash. It smells really nice, it makes your skin soft and smooth and is easy to apply without wasting any, and it lasted a long time with me and I am really bad are using too much product. It's a product I'd repurchase for sure.

FCUK pure shower scrub
So in the FCUK set I got this shower scrub as well which I loved even more than the body wash. I really felt it work on my skin without hurting me skin or being too rough on it. I did mention it in my February Favourites post as I continuously used it throughout the month of February which is why it is now empty.

Pink Pour Femme revitalizing shower gel
Sticking with the shower theme I also used up this shower gel which again I got in a set for either a birthday or Christmas a few years back. This was the shower gel I used in between using my FCUK body wash so I didn't get too bored with it and I continued when my FCUK one ran out. This product smells really nice and foamed really well in the shower so I only needed to apply a small amount.

Dove summer glow moisturiser with subtle gradual self-tanners
This has been the product that I have used to give myself a tan for years now, my sister introduced me to it and since then whenever I wanted to look like I had a tan I would it, keep it topped up for a while and then forget about it or become too lazy to keep applying it. Anywho I have finished the bottle now and all in all it is a good moisturising tanner which gave me a natural glow and lasted for a good few days with just one application.

Clean and Clear blackhead clearing daily scrub
I still have maybe two uses of this product still but by the time I upload this post I will have finished it so I thought I would just include it. During my patch of troubled skin I have been using this product quite a lot to tone down the spots around my chin. It is a good daily scrub (even though I didn't really use it daily all the time) and did help get rid of some nasty spots with the help of other spot control products. I think I will have to repurchase this product or a similar one for my next breakout. The one bad thing about this scrub is that it sometimes smells like fart... I don't know how and I don't know why but sometimes when I use it I can definitely smell a fart like scent and it is not me! haha its not that bad and it doesn't make your face smell but you can definitely notice it while your washing you face.

Rimmel Wake me up foundation in Ivory 100
I don't really need to say much about this foundation to you guys because I already rave about it too much, and now the sad time has come where it has finally run out :( This little pot has lasted me since late last year and I have practically wore it nearly everyday. It gives a good coverage, it makes your skin glow and leaves a shimmer on the skin that you can see in certain lights and it is long lasting. I have already brought a new foundation to try as I didn't want to stick to the same products all the time but I am seriously considering repurchasing this foundation soon just because I love it so much. What's the harm in another foundation right?!

Have you tried any of these products?
What do you think of them?
Do you have an recommendations for me? :)

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

If you are looking for a good coverage matte mousse foundation then you need to look no further. I can't fault Rimmel for their foundations, this is my third foundation of theirs and like the previous ones, I am in love. Rimmel just know what they are doing and you can't go wrong in my opinion with these. I have their True Match and Wake Me Up foundations which are both great products. This new matte foundation have been very popular so far and I can see why.

It leaves a nice matte finish on your skin and gives good coverage if you are having a bad skin day. I purchased it in the shade Ivory which is my normal foundation shade but I like that this is a little bit more pigmented then my other foundations.

The colour blends out really well so it doesn't look caked on and a little pea size amount of product goes a very long way. When I first tried this out I put way too much on and so looked like some sort of orange/brown drag queen, but once I took it all off (what a waste) and then reapplied it I realised I only needed the tiniest amount to cover my entire face. The tube the product comes in is only thin but because you only need a small amount of product, the size of the tube makes no difference.

I've found that this lasts for most of the day on me, even on the days when I'm running around like a headless chicken at work so the staying power of this foundation is really good. Compared to my other Rimmel foundations I think it may even last longer then them.

This is my first mousse foundation that I have used and I can't decide whether I prefer it to normal liquid foundations or not. It gives more of a coverage then the liquid products and lasts longer but it does feels more heavy on your skin.

Overall Rimmel has definitely won me over again with their new matte foundation, it gives a good coverage and lasts my long days at work so it will definitely make its way into my imaginary everyday makeup bag.

What do you guys think of it? :)

Beauty Haul | March

Soo I was a little naughty and went a bit crazy on my day off on Friday when I was in Boots. I then came home to my two orders off eBay which had been delivered that day, so Friday was a pretty good day shopping wise. I did essentially go into boots to get a few products that I needed to replace and just got side tracted by all the stands... I obviously have no will power.

First of all I'll start with one of my eBay purchases, I have read quite a few good reviews on this fake tan by Lauren Goodger called Lauren's Way or LW and so I wanted to try it out. I looked on the actual website first but then I found it on eBay for £13.99 and it included a few tanning mit so I was smart and got it off eBay. I purchased the gradual tan in medium to dark (I'm curious, do they actually do any light to medium shades? As I haven't found any yet) and I was worried it might be too dark for me as I was quite pale before hand. I won't go into too much detail about the product as I'm going to write a post about it but I will say it is amazing. It is the best tan that I have ever used.

Next I picked up some hair products which caught my eye. First I picked up the L'Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray, I picked this up as I recently got some heated hair curlers as a early birthday present which are the best things ever, but I find that the curls don't last that long and when I use lots of normal hair spray my hair just turns really hard. So on recommendation from DizzyBrunette I got some of this spray to try out. Hopefully it will hold my curls without turning then into lethal weapons.

I also picked up the Schwarskopf Supersoft Volumising Hairspray to try. Because my hair is thick and long it tends to become either flat really easily or greasy because it keep playing with it through to day to pump it up. So I thought I'd try this spray to give it a bit of body and volume in the morning when I'm getting ready. I've tried it a few times already, so far so good.

Then for the last of my hair products I picked up the VO5 Plump It Up Dry Backcombing spray. Recently I've been backcombing my hair more to give it volume so when I saw this I thought it was fate. My backcombing doesn't always last all day so hopefully paired with this it will. It also says that it gives the backcombing effect but without the mess and damage and we all know the feeling of trying to brush throught backcombed hair and cursing the person who invented that painful idea, so I'm excited to try it out and see if it gives the same effect as actually doing it.

My next few items are the boring ones, I needed to pick up some more Simple Kind To Eyes Nourishing eye makeup remover as my old pot ran out finally. This is one of the only eye make up remover that I trust completely on my eyes, as I have quite sensitive eyes and so don't like to use liquid make up removers on them. This cream gets the job done quick and easy.

Next I finally purchased some BioDerma on eBay for £9.99 for 250ml. I have been wanting to try that make up remover for months now but whenever people have said they have saw it in a shop, I woulda go into the shop and never find it so I just searched for it on eBay. I'm excited to see how good it actually is since everyone on YouTube and Bloglovin swear by it.

Next I picked up some cheap nail vanish remover pots in bodycare. These are the best invention around! I love painting my nails but never have the patience to remover it properly as I'm quite lazy so these little tubs that you put your finger into are so handy and they take off all nail vanish apart from glitter colours but they are a bugger to get off normally anyway. So I picked up two as I paint my nails a lot so I dry them out quite quickly.

Last but not least, make up. You can't go into Boots and not buy one piece of make up, I just happened to buy a few bits to many... I picked up...

Maybelline Fit Me foundation in shade 115 Ivory
I needed a new foundation as my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation pumped for its last time that morning :( this is a sad moment... So I picked up this foundation which I have had my eye on for a while now, I have a feeling it may be a little too light for me especially now I have a tan but I'll write a post about it once I've used it.

Rimmel stay matte liquid mousse foundation
This little tube is amazing. Again I will write a post about this foundation which I will upload later this week.

Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer
I needed a new under eye concealer so picked up this one as I loved the foundation so much but I definitely picked up the wrong colour for under my eyes. There wasn't a wide range of shades so I ended up getting it in the shade Ivory but i definetly need it in the lighter shade. I will be using this on my blemishes more than my under eye area.

Olay total effects blemish care moisturiser
I noticed this moisturiser on the way out which is apparently good for blemish prone skin and my skin is very blemish prone at the moment so I picked it up to try. I'll review it after I've used off for a good amount of time.

Osiris Avise CC Cream in Tanned
This CC Cream I find in one of them cheap toiletries shops for 99p and like I've said before I love trying out cheap random products as I have found some good products that way. So today on my day off I'll give this cream a go.

Maybelline the Rocket volume express Mascara
On recommendation from a lot of people I picked up this mascara, I am seriously lacking in mascara lately so wanted to get one I knew was good.

W7 Flirty Eyes mascara and W7 Lashtastic mascara
The wands on these mascara's are amazing and they were only £1.99 in the same shop I got the CC cream! Already I have fallen in love with them!

And lastly I repurchased my trusted VO5 Nourish me shine shampoo and Give me moisture conditioner again because I love them so much and they leave me hair feeling and looking so healthy.

And that is the end of my beauty haul
If any of you have tried any of the products tell me what you think of them.
For most of these I will write posts about how I got on with them for you :)

Meet Ashleigh (All Things Ashleigh)

Meet my friend Ashleigh.

I have known her for many years now and plan to be friends with her until we are old women with grey hair. We met at school, we became good friends during the last years of secondary school and have stayed friends ever since. She is so down to earth and caring, everything you could want in a friend. She is also really talented, she is great at drawing and painting which is why she is studying Graphic Design at Uni.

Why am I telling you all this about her? Because she has started her own blog of course! All Things Ashleigh I am really excited about this and wanted to tell you guys to go follow her! She is going to be writing about beauty and fashion like me, plus some photos of her art work maybe? I hope so!

So what are you still doing here? Get over to her page HERE and follow her blog on BlogLovin!

Ps Don't hate me Ashleigh for the photos!

February Favourites '14

This month I haven't changed up my skincare or make up routine much meaning that I don't have many new favourites, anywhooo I do have a few items that I have been loving as well as the products I mentioned last month.

I have 5 beauty items and 4 random items so I'm just going to get straight into it...

Maybelline NY volume express turbo boast mascara
I bought this on feel unique at the beginning of the month after I sorted through my eye makeup pot and realised that most of the mascaras I had, I have had for quite some time so I threw all my olds ones away. Resulting in me have two mascaras which is just not enough! I've never used a bad product of Maybelline (so far) so I saw this one on the website and bought it.
It is a really good mascara, really good at giving my eyelashes some lift and great for laying up to make big lashes. My eye lashes never clump when I use this mascara and I previous said in My 'Go To' favourite make up items post that Rimmel Volume Flash Mascara in 001 Black was my favourite mascara, but this mascara is definitely much better! I find my Rimmel mascara does start to clump on my lashes now whereas with the Maybelline mascara I don't have this problem.

H&M 'Sweet Rose' blusher
I've been constantly wearing this blusher that I bought on the H&M website, it is such a lovely colour on my skin and doesn't look too much on my bare skin if I'm having a foundation free day. Considering it is only £3 I think it is a bargain and such a good product for its price.

Beauty UK Silver Glitter nail polish
This glitter nail polish has been my saviour this month! Like I've said before, working in a clothes shop ruins your nails especially if its sale season. So my nails have been looking really dry, cracked and broken. This nail polish has been great at covering my nails when they are looking really bad and because of the glitter effect, it doesn't matter that much if it chips off, whereas it would be majorly obvious if it was just a block colour.

FCUK Pure shower scrub
I have been living off this scrub this month for two reasons 1. I need to use it up so I can start using some new products and 2. It is really good at getting rid of dry flakey skin, it is rough enough to get rid of any horrible dry skin but it isn't too rough that it hurts when you use it. Its really been good at getting rid of my dry skin.

L'Oreal Paris Studio Silk and Gloss heat protector cream
This serum has been great at protecting my hair this month and it makes my hair so soft and shiny! People have been telling me all month my hair looks so healthy so it must be working!

My Made Fat Diary
If you haven't seen this show before then you are missing out big time! It is so funny and relatable to teenagers (like I'm not 20 in less than a month...) Rae, the main character tackles all the issues we think we're alone in dealing with like letting a boy see you naked for the first time (we're all been there before, never a easy thing). Plus the boys in it are sooooo cute! I love Finn and Archie :)

One Day and Leap Year (films)
One Day is a real tear jerker, I start crying before I'm even meant to because I know whats coming. I recommend everyone go watch it as it is such a good film, It is such a good more realistic love story and it gets to me every time.
Leap Year is more of a chick flick with a cute love story which is really funny, and the main lead is a quirky, cute Irish hunk ;) If your not attracted to the Irish accent already, you will be by the end!

And these are my February favourites :)
What do you guys think of the products and films?
Do you have anything to recommend for me?

Would you rather tag: Makeup edition

I can across this tag recently and thought it was a good way to show you what kind of person I am when it comes to the different types of make up :) So here we go...

Would you rather lose all your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all your palettes and eye shadows?
This is easy for me, I never were eye shadow. Mainly because I find it doesn't suit me, and I can't put it on at all... Every time I try and do smokey eyes after watching tutorials on YouTube, I end up looking like a sad panda haha so definitely I'd prefer to lose my eye shadows and palettes.

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I would much prefer to never cut my hair again, I love having long hair and I want to grow it all the way down to my bum!

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I think I'm more of a coral cheek kind of girl, its more natural on my skin tone

If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Ohhh this is tricky... Can't I I buy both?! If I have to choose... It would have to be clothes

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
Black eye liner on my lips would look very strange... but I think lipstick on my waterline would be painful so I'm going to have to pick eyeliner

Would you rather only use one eye shadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
Again like I said I don't use eye shadow so it wouldn't matter if I only had one

Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter?
I hate sweating way more than I hate feeling cold so I'd rather wear summer clothes in winter. I could layer up loads of them to warm me up

Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Definitely bright nails, they are my favourite!

Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?
I would probably say lip product as I always wear eye liner or mascara but half the time I will just use lip balm on my lips

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
I don't like my hair in a ponytail so Id say a messy bun, I love a good messy bun

Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
I love painting my nails, I feel naked without them painted so defo lip gloss!

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
Surely I could do my eyebrows anyway I want so I could do them very lightly with the sharpie... imagine no eyebrows... scary!

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Well you'll notice someone make up more then their painted nails so I'm going to say I'd rather live without nail polish, but my life would be very sad and dull!

I hope you've enjoyed this, feel free to do it yourself.
Let me know when you have, I'd love to know other peoples answers :)

My Perfect Lazy Pamper Day

At the beginning of the year I became supervisor at my work and so I began working 40 hours a week. This was a shock to the body when before I would only work 40 hours maybe once over the Christmas period. So its safe to say its took its toll on my body (and my sleeping pattern)and now I appreciate my days off soooooo much more. I get 2 days off a week and on one of the days I like to be lazier than a pregnant cat... lovely image I know.

Here are the things that I like to do on my days off to relax, and make the most of the day. Maybe this will give you some ideas on how to make the most of your lazy days off :)

Cook a big breakfast
Call me a kid but I love to have turkey dinosaws and poatoe waffles for breakfast on lazy days. 1. its the only thing I like and can really make that can be classed as a fry up 2. it fills me up for my jammed packed day of lazing around. If I had the energy to actually cook proper meals I would be a really good cook I think! but alas I get bored of cooking and give in to rubbish easy meals. Anyway on a day off you have to make a breakfast you wouldn't usually have the time to make before work so make something you enjoy!

Having a long bath/shower
I am not a bath kind of person but when I'm having a lazy day, I like to have a really long boiling hot bath. It always makes me feel more relaxed. If I'm in the mood to really work my skin with body scrubs or washes then I will have a long shower (if I have the energy to stand up that is haha) Even though your having a lazy day you want to start the day feeling fresh so have a bubble bath, take a long shower, and then get into your most comfiest clothes!

Scan SKY for films
When I have the house to myself, I love laying on the sofa and watching films. I don't know why but I much prefer it to laying in my own bed and watching them. Sky has got some cracking films on lately like some of my favourites -Jack the giant slayer, Spiderman, Les Mis, Pitch Perfect and Snowwhite and the huntsman. The list goes on and on. So grab a blanket, close the curtains and get cosy infront of the tv.

Paint me nails
This is a must for me as work batters my nails nearly everyday, so my nails need some TLC. I start of getting the last few bits of nail vanish that work hasn't chiped off my nails (which is usually one little square of my nail) and then use my Jasons Tea Tree nail saver which gives my nails a bit of nourishment and makes them feel harder and more stable, so hopefully they wont break the next day at work. Once the nail saver has dried I then paint my nails any colour (usually one that wont look horrible if a little bit chips off, like my silver glitter nails I have now).

Facemasks
While I'm painting my nails I love to have a facemask on, I find it so relaxing. Obviously it will have to be the ones you leave on for 20 minutes or the paper peel away ones, or you would be ruining your nails taking the mask off.

Read my book
I am really bad at the moment for reading my book. I started Dan Browns Inferno when I went on holiday last September... and I haven't finished it yet :( I am actually ashamed that I am slacking so much considering I used to read books like anything and would normally finish them within a week or even a few days. I just haven't been in the kind of mood to sit down and really delve into a book. Anywho reading a book is the most satisfying way to spend a day off I think, its much better then spending all day in front of the tv (which I'm totally guilty of) so from now on I will be making a conscious decision to get back into reading, or at least finish Inferno!

I hope you've enjoyed this post and its given you some ideas of how to spend your days off in the future! :)
If you spend your lazy days completely differently, tell me how :)

Maybelline NewYork superstay 24H foundation

I purchased this on Feel Unique this month as my trusted Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation was running out fast and I wanted to try something different this time. It claims to stay flawless all day, move with your skin, and 'resists heat, humidity, sweat, transfer, touch, LIFE!'. So I was excited to try it out.

I got it in the shade Ivory which is what my Rimmel foundation is in and I've found it to be darker then that, which I am pleased with. I wanted a darker foundation to wear with fake tan but I didn't know how to pick which shade I would go up to. I didn't want to pick a shade too dark for my face that would make me look like a worker at Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, even with fake tan! So to have found this difference in shade without meaning too has been helpful.

I had never used a Maybelline foundation before so I didn't know what to expect, but I have been pleasantly surprised. The packaging isn't too fancy but it doesn't need to be, the content inside is the important thing to me. The tone of the foundation is natural as well as making my skin glow.  The only thing I don't like about the foundation is it doesn't blend in easily with my ECOtools bamboo foundation brush, it is like the foundation just disappears as soon as I touch the brush to my face, and feels like I'm rubbing a dry brush across my face. This means I have to use my hands to apply this foundation which I wasn't too keen on at first, but after a few days I got used to it and don't mind it now. I still prefer using my brush though as it is less messy. One good thing about this foundation is it works well with my trusted Collection Pressed powder and Collection concealer which is important!

I find that it does last my entire working day (8:30 till 6 oclock +) and I don't feel the need to retouch it during the day. Even when I have been running around work like a headless chicken.

I can honestly say I don't love this foundation as much as Rimmel's Wake me Up but I have put that foundation up on a pedestal from the moment I started using it, so I would be surprised if I did. The foundation has good coverage lasting the whole day and gives me a nice dewy glow. You have to really work it with your fingers but once you get used to using your fingers again its fine.

What do you think of the superstay foundation? :)
