My travel make up bag

I'm currently spending the week round my sisters flat while she is on holiday. When i was packing a bag to come here it dawned on me that i wouldn't have all my products at hand and i would have to pick certain products to take with me.
Luckily for me I have some make up products that i always use and i swear by so filling my makeup bag wasn't hard.

For concealers I bought the two that i always use day to day. I use my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1 underneath my eyes and on my nose. Then I'll use my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer on any red or off colour skin before i put foundation on. If i have any little spots i will use this concealer on top to hide the little buggers.

For foundations i bought my two favorite ones at the moment that always leave my skin looking good and arent too heavy on my skin. My favourite out of the two is the Rimmel Match Perfection Smart Tone Technology in 230 Warm Ivory. This is a repurchase i made recently because the first ever foundation i bought was the same brand but in just Ivory. It is too light for me to use now so i needed to update a shade. The second is my Maybelline Superstay 24 hours in 010 Ivory. This is great when im having a bad skin day and i want a little more coverage. Read my review post on this (here)

For powders i bought the two that i use everyday without fail as they work perfectly for me. I'll cover my whole face with the Collection 2000 Pressed Powder in 02 Tendertouch to set my makeup. I'll then use my Miss Sporty So Matte Perfect Stay Pressed Powder in 002 Medium on my cheek bones and my temples to define them.

For my cheeks i bought my two Elf cosmetics blushers that i am in love with! The All Over Stick in 3101 Pink Lemonade and the Baked Blush in Cheeky Peachy. I wont say too much about these as i have already reviewed the All over stick (here) and the Baked Blush (here). All you need to know is they both look great on the skin and are perfect for the spring time.

For my eyes I bought my trusty Elf Mineral Eye Liner which is great at making my eyes really stand out and is really easy to blend out. For mascara i bought the Maybelline Rocket Volume Express mascara  as it is perfect for everyday use and can be built up for the evening.

For my lips i have 4 lipsticks that work for me no matter what I'm wearing and where I'm going. The first is a lipstick i actually found on eBay. It may sound wear buying makeup off of eBay but it is brand new and really cheap. The make I like is Laval Classic and the shade is Mystic Pink. Now the shade names aren't really suitable for the shades that they actually are but as long as you look at the photos before you buy any then you'll know what your getting. I love this lipstick, it applies well, lasts a long time and doesn't dry out my lips when I'm wearing it. For £1 something they are definitely worth a look! (here)

The next lipstick is the Revlon Colourburst Lip butter in 063 Wild Watermelon which is a gorgeous red shade which isnt too bold to look too much on a day to day basis. These lip butters are so nourishing on my lips, they feel like lip balms.

The next lipstick is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in shade 086 Sugarplum. Its great to add a pop of colour to a dull outfit.

The last lipstick is probably my favourite out of all of them. Its a Avon lipstick in the shade is Rosey Gold. It is a lovely colour that looks great on the lips because of the shimmer it has to it. Again it is really moisturising on the lips so feels great on.

And there you go my Travel Make Up Bag is complete. Look out for my Travel Shower Bag post coming up soon! xx

Outfit of the day | Easter Sunday

Happy Easter Sunday guys! I hope you've all had a chocolate egg for breakfast, I know I have... And I regret nothing.
I'm bringing you my outfit for today as I use any little excuse to dress up and I'm wearing a dress that I have had for a good few months now (pretty sure it was some time last year maybe) and I've never wore before.
I bought it from the Next fashion warehouse in my hometown and that shop is fast becoming my favourite place to find dresses now. I always find at least one thing I like there and all the dresses are perfect for nights out or special occasions. Plus most of them are between £8 and £10, best bargains ever!

So today I am wearing this white skater dress with a ribbed effect all over it. It's quite a thicker material so it won't crease when I sit down which I love! It hangs really nicely because there is soooo much material so I don't have to worry about it looking unflattering and it hides my muffin top - yay!
It was only £10 at the warehouse which is a bargain and I'm really glad I found it and that I've finally wearing it.
I've paired it with some black tights because let's be realistic, it's not spring weather yet, no matter how much I wish it was. I'm also wearing a plain brown belt to keep it light as I thought a black belt would be too dull, a gold and cream flower necklace from Newlook which is super cute and only £8, plus my favourite gold watch.

I've kept my makeup quite minimal as my skin is misbehaving at the moment and as soon as I get one spot under control, another one appears, and then the first one doesn't like sharing the attention so decides to get 3 bigger! So I'm not wearing any foundation as I didn't want to anger my spots, I'm wearing the Elf Mineral Eye Liner, Maybelline Volume Express Turbo Boost mascara with the Collection supersize mascara on top, then the Mac eyeshadow in Fresh and Easy (a birthday gift from Ashleigh and James <3) and the Revlon Photoready Creme blush in Coral Reef.

I hope you all have a lovely day and enjoy eating lots of chocolate, sadly I've had my allowance for today (I'm on a chocolate detox because of my spots). My day with be spent relaxing with my family, what are your plans today? :) xx

Birthday Clothing Haul!

I booked some time off over my birthday to relax and prepare myself for the weekends antics and I somehow fell into some shops and my purse just happened to open up and fling my card into the card machine... over and over again... :D Here are all the goodies I picked up from various shops on my shopping spree.

Every angle I tried to take a photo of my clothes in didn't work so the photos aren't that great, sorry! Plus I'm rocking my favourite pair of comfy shorts from Primark with the tops, I wouldn't actually wear the shorts with the tops haha.

Starting with the tops I picked up this super cute green and white polka dot peplum top from Select. I only went into Select that day because my sister wanted to pick up some leggings when the colour of this top caught my eye. Its such a nice bright green that doesn't make you look like a giant boggey! Plus it is quite a thicker material so you feel like it kind of holds you in when your having a fat day. Best thing about it? It was only £8 in the sale, what a bargain!

The next top is a bright chiffon shirt with a really cute white collar. It reminds me of a candy cane or a referee and I love that about it. I think it will look really cute with a pair of high waisted jeans in the evening or during the day time. This again was only £8 from Primark so you can't go wrong.

The next item is probably my favourite out of all the ones I bought, me and my sister both clocked it in Select and fell in love. It ended up being buy 1 get the 2nd half price so it was fate. It is this lovely black lace kimono which I thought would be perfect for holiday or even during the summer in England over a bodycon dress. Since I got one of the kimonos half price I ended up only paying £6 for it which is amazing.

Now onto the skirts... all these skirts... I told you in my March favourites that my skirt collection grew an extensive amount during the last few weeks and I have a total of 5 new ones to show you now.

The first is a really smart zip up 'grandma style' check one which I thought would look good with a plain black cami or jumper and some black tights. It even has the outline for pockets on the front of it which I love, it would be even better if I could use the pockets because you know how much I love pockets. It was only £8 in the sale, I seem to be finding some nice items in Select recently, I find the shop is somewhere where one day you can find nothing nice at all but on another day you can find some real nice pieces.

The next is a simple style skirt as in it has the outline of pockets on the front and its quite smart. I found this in the 915 kids section in Newlook as I tried on the adults version earlier and felt it didn't fit me properly. Again I thought this would be cute with a little jumper on the top with black tights. I got it for £7.50 but that was with my discount.

The next skirt is sooooooo lush! It is a mint green checked pattern which has a bit of an A shape to it which I find really flattering. I thought I could pair this one with quite a few things to either match the mint green or clash with it. This one was from the 915 section again and was £4 with my discount.

This next skirt is so in right now. It is a black and white palm tree tube skirt. Think of all the possible outfits!!!! All I need is a bright coloured cami and my outfit for summer is sorted. This is from Newlook and was £4 with my discount.

Nearly there guys, keep reading...

My next skirt from Primark and it is a gem, its a tight black and white square wrap over with a longer piece of material at the front. Perfect for a night out and not too short that everyone and their grandma can see your bum but not too long it makes you look like a elf. At £9 it was a bargain!

Finally my last skirt is from H&M and it was probably my favourite. I have quite a few pleather skirts now and when I saw this one, I had to add it to my collection (even though I rarely wear the ones I haveThis is different to all my other ones though, it has pleats all around it with a zip and clasp at the back. I think I may look a little like a lamp shade in it because of its shape but I still love it.

I don't know where my skirt obsession has come from but I think I'm set for summer now with all my goodies! Hope you've enjoyed reading! :)

The £2.50 Bargain!

I am a typical girl who loves buying new underwear and bra sets, it is like my weakness, and my favourite shop to get underwear from in is Newlook. But my favourite place to get bras is Primark. I find that their bras always fit me better than any other shop, it's not even like I'm an awkward size but most bras I try on are either too small a cup or too big a cup, I really need a cup size in between created. Primark do have their bras locked down for me.

Today I'm writing about their bargain £2.50 bras that you can't go wrong with. I mean come on, £2.50 for a bra is ridiculous! They fit really well (well on me anyway which never happens) and they are super comfy. They don't cut into you or leave you with marks where they have been. The company has made them in loads of different designs, not just plain Jane, un-sexy ones. They do have the standard plain black, white and skin colour bras but they also do a black lace design, a blue polka dot design, and my favourite - neon green and pink.  I mean look at the pink and green, they are just to die for! and they make me feel so girlie when I wear them AND they make me feel really tanned.

As you can see I went a big crazy on multiply trips over a week with my sister and got the bra in like every design they had that had my size...

These bras tick all the boxes for me and I really think you can't go wrong so go into a Primark and try them. Even if you buy one and you don't think its that good, its only £2.50 :)

Chelsea in 5 years time

Little disclaimer: this post is quite heavy so go make a cup of tea and get comfy..

As you all may know I recently turned 20 (que the violins...) and turning this big age made me think about my life and where I want to be by the time I turn 25. To most of you, you may be thinking *your 20 for god sake your still young!* but I am one of them people who wants to get their life in order as soon as possible, so no longer being a teenager is scary.

One thing I definitely want to have by the time I'm 25 is my own family of some sorts, a long term partner, a fiancĂ©e, a husband and maybe some children on the way. I have always wanted a family young, I personally don't want to start having kids in my 30s. I know that may sound crazy to some of you who are older than 25 and aren't even thinking about a family but I'm the kind of person who doesn't care about going out in town every week, I'm a very homely person (if that is a word). So obviously I am the type to settle down young but that is just how I have been brought up. My mum and dad married when she was 17 and he was 19 and my 26 year old sister has been married for 4 years so to us settling down is normal. But for all this to happen I need to find a partner I want to spend my life with and have a family with and no one has made the cut yet, watch this space...

Obviously I'm not stupid and don't want to start having a family young when I have no way to support them, I am currently the Sales Team Leader at my work and by the time I am 25 I want to be In either of these two roles; Store manager or Regional manager. Obviously *stop saying obviously Chelsea!*  if a role comes along that I enjoy more or is more beneficial for me I will change my career plan but for now, this is what I am aiming for. I know I definitely want a career in fashion so maybe if a job came along in a office or building but was fashion related then my career plans would change again. My main aim is to establish a career by my chosen age so that I can go away and have kids but I will still able to jump back into my role as the company know how good I am and that I am capable of handling a career as well as looking after my children.

Something really important to me is having my own space so I can't wait to move out and have my own flat or house. If I could move out right now I would! but alas it is not on the cards for me as of yet. I don't think I could ever live alone, think of all the spiders I'd have to put under glasses until someone popped round... so my plan is to move in with my partner, wherever he may be... I know for a fact I could never move in with a friend, I know a few people who have and it has ruined their friendship so I think if you aren't best friends with someone and feel completely comfortable telling them whats what, your friendship might not last the duration. Anyway I hope that by 25 I am settled down with a place to call my own with my partner, every time I go shopping with my friends or sister for their flats I get the bug to decorate but I can't fit anymore in my room now!

Linking onto having my own place, I really want a dress up room! A little room with a walk in wardrobe, a white old fashioned vanity table and a cute mirror and silhouette in the corner to dress outfits up on. I just need to convince my partner to get a two bedroom place just for my clothes...

It may sound silly but by the time I'm 25 I hope I have grown a little. I am currently 5ft nothing and although I would rather be really small then really tall, I still wouldn't mind a little height. Nothing major, I think I would lose my charm if I was normal height but maybe just a little more to help me reach the back of the cupboard or the top of my pole that I have clothes on without having to stand on my bed.

Where as most people dream of traveling the world and visiting Thailand, America and Australia, I am more interested in visiting the countries in my own part of the world. Don't get me wrong I would love to visit any one of them countries, but I would more enjoy visiting Scotland, Ireland and Wales. I think the fact that they are right next to me but I don't take the opportunity to visit them is silly. So in the next few years I want to visit at least 2 of the 3 other countries in the united kingdom, and other towns and cities in England! Weekends here and there break down the draining 40 hour working weeks and give you something to look forward to and a chance to make great memories. Plus I love all their accents so I might meet an attractive Welsh, Irish or Scottish husband ;)

Last but certainly not least, when I settle down and move into my own flat or house, I want to move to a little cute village, especially when I start raising children. I have always wanted to live in a village, it actually makes me sad that I don't live in one right now. I have always said I could easily be a famers wife living in the country side because I love it so much. Living in my own little cottage in the country and driving into the town or city for work sounds like my dream. I get to manage my own store in a city full of entertainment but then when the day ends I get to go home to my quiet village and sit on the sofa with my partner/fiancĂ©e/husband and enjoy our quiet time together. Sounds perfect :)
The type of cottages I'd love to live in

So these are all the things I want to reach/accomplish in 5 years time and hopefully when I do reach that age, I can look back at this post and feel like I have accomplished what I wanted, or at least be on my way :)

E.L.F blushes ^

I recently purchased some blushes from the  E.L.F website and to be honest I didn't know what to expect. I had never purchased anything from E.L.F before so I didn't know how good the makeup was. You'll see at the end of this how pleasantly surprised I was at how good the makeup actually is. and how CHEAP!

I picked up three different blushes in three different types to try out and I'm going to talk about my favourite two. First off I picked up their All Over Stick in Pink Lemonade which I just love. The stick is described to be for your eyes, lips and face but I just use it on my cheeks at the minute. The colour is so lovely and looks so natural on my skin so I can just pop it on without any hesitation.

I choose to rub the top of the stick on my face in a line and then use my fingers and flat brush to blend out the product. The product blends very easily and lasts all day on my face. It gets a thumbs up from me!

Secondly, and more excitedly, I picked up the HD blush in Superstar. This is my first HD blush and I have been converted. I thought it would be really messy and transfer all around my face but it is really easy to use and apply really well. I squeeze a little amount of product on the back of my hand and use my flat blush brush to then put the blusher on my cheeks. It comes out really well on your face and blends really easy into the skin, you don't end up with big pink circles on your cheeks.

It looks really tacky in the photo but I put a lot on my hand so you could really see the colour of the HD blush, as you can see you only need a little bit to notice it!

The best thing both of these products is that they both last all day on my face, which I have found I cant say about other brands.

The blush stick was only £1.95 which is an absolute bargain! I couldn't quite believe the price when I saw it! The HD blush is only £4.50 which is again a bargain especially since it preforms so well and lasts so long!

I would recommend these blushes to anyone who gets bored of powder blushes or wants to try out different types of cheek products. They are worth the little bit of money you spend on them ;)

My birthday outfits ^^

It was my 20th birthday last week (I like to call myself twenteen as I want to remain a teenager forever, cue the Mr Hudson song 'forever young'...)  so I've been a busy bee lately and I thought I'd show you the outfits I wore the day of my birthday and night out that weekend.

On the day of my birthday I didn't have much to do... I booked the day off of work and all my family and friends were at work so I planned that well... So during the day I went to the town 20 minutes away to do some shopping and lets say my bank balance took a beating (post coming soon). Then in the evening I went out for a meal with my parents and sister at the Harvester in Riverside and stuffed my face with lots of chicken, my fav!

My outfit for that day was a Primark floral collared crop top, a Newlook black tube skirt with a wrap/slit and a pair of black leather gold studded boots from Select.

Then at the weekend me and a bunch of my friends and sister went out in Milton Keynes for a night out which was brilliant and I recommend everyone spend a night out in MK, the nightlife is so good! Anyway that night I wore a burgundy/purple floral summer dress from the Next warehouse with a black bando underneath to cover my assets and keep my modesty haha. I paired it with some summer wedges from Newlook from last year, you can tell I was pretending it was summer...

Have a funny photo of my a little worse for wear...

I wore Lauren's Way gradual tan which I love and rave about all the time, my necklace is from Newlook and I used a Babyliss curling wand to curl my hair.

This is only a short little post but I thought I would share with you my outfits because I loved them, especially my birthday dress :P
I hope you enjoyed it and I may do a post on the makeup products I used for the night out, let me know if you'd be interested in reading it! :)
