Top 3 Palettes In My Collection

I have gone a little crazy for eye shadow palettes this last year and most days now I wear eye shadow which is a stark contrast to previous years when I didn't even know what eye shadow was. Recently I have felt naked without something on my eyes and in my collection I have three palettes which I can't put down. None of these will be a big surprise to any of you as these are all pretty popular products on the scene, although that may be an understatement for the last palette!

As you can see from the photo this palette has really been shown some love since it was purchased. For just £10 you get 3 matte and 9 shimmer shades which are so easy to wear and blend like a dream. I was really surprised by the quality of this palette when I first tried it as the quality of the product is really good. The shadows are quite buttery so blend really easily and the colour pay off is so good for price. Apart from the last 2 shades (sorry dark purples) I wear most of these shades on a daily basis and two shades have been hacked at as they are so beautiful. The three matte shades are perfect colours to work as bases for the rest of the shimmer shades and you can create some really pretty looks with this palette. When I use this palette my eye shadows lasts all day on my lids, I usually use a Maybelline colour tattoo as a base primer to make sure it lasts me till bedtime.

Once I knew the quality of W7 eye shadows were up there with some of the best, I invested in another palette when I came across one. This palette is perfect for smokey and glitter party looks, just like the previous palette the pay off and quality of the eye shadows is amazing for the price. I couldn't find this palette on the W7 website so I am unsure whether it has been discontinued or something? But I did find it on the Argos website of all places at half price so it is a right steal. The gold shades in this palette are beautiful and range from an intense dark gold to a subtle shimmer which could easily be used as a highlighter. Apart from the last black shade (I'm sorry but dark colour aren't for me) I love all the shades in the palette and enjoy playing around with it.

You may notice but this palette is exactly like the W7 palette I've just talked about, the W7 palette is a dupe for this gorgeous palette which is a steal at the current price, but there is nothing like having the original. If you can afford to buy these palettes then definitely go out and buy one because they are amazing. If you can't then the w7 palettes are great substitutes, they aren't as good as Urban Decay but they definitely are a good dupe.  The quality of the Urban Decay shadows are just amazing, there is no other words to use. They are so pigmented, blend so easily and last all day with or without a primer. This palette really packs a punch with its colours and glitter and YDK is my all time favourite shadow of all time.

Eyes By Kiko

Kiko is fast becoming one of favourite brands for eye products after trying some more great cream eye shadows recently. I already have quite a few products from Kiko that I love so when I went into the Kiko shop in Oxford, I went straight to the eye section and picked up some cream eye shadows to try.

The first item I picked up and become obsessed with is the Kiko Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eye Shadow in 01 Pearly Vintage Rose. This is a lovely soft golden cream with shimmer partials in it that looks lovely by itself to make your eye lids pop a little. You can apply a small layer to add a little subtle sparkle to your lids or you can pack a lot of product on to make it a real eye catching gold shimmer effect. This is also a great product to use as a highlighter as well which was one of the reasons I picked this shade in the first place.

The next products I picked up are these Kiko Long Lasting Sticks in the shades 28 Bright Ivory and 05 Rosey Brown. They claim to last for up to 8 hours and don't transfer once they are set and I do have to agree with that statement. I first apply these first thing in the morning and by the time I get home 10 hours later the product is still in place and hasn't gone cakey or faded at all. The first time I wore them I was amazed with the pigmentation and how well they lasted on my eyes. I usually run the sticks over my eyes and then use a fluffy brush or my fingers to blend the product out, I like to use number 05 all over my lids and then use number 28 on the inner corners of my eye to brighten up my eyes.

Left to Right - Kiko Cream Crush Eye Shadow in 01, Long Lasting Stick in 28 and Long Lasting Stick in 05

After trying all of these products I am definitely looking to invest in some more eye products next time I find a Kiko shop on my travels. Are there any products you want to try or think I should?

My ultimate eyebrow product | MUA Pro Brow Kit

I'm sure you would have seen in a few photos of me pre February that I didn't use to bother with my eyebrows. I had never found a shade which matched my dark eyebrows without looking big and black and I had kinda given up the search for one. Then my sister used her brow kit on me and since that day in February, I have been doing my eyebrows everyday!

The kit in question is the MUA Pro Brow kit which I picked up in dark. The dark brown is a perfect shade for me and my eyebrows don't look unnatural or OTT when I use it which is brilliant. When I really want to make a statement I can use the black shade and even that isn't too dark on me.

It also comes with a nude shade which Im guessing you either use for highlighting underneath your eyebrow or even as a eye shadow and a brow jel which I am yet to use. I use a angled eye brow to apply the shade and I can get the perfect eye brow with this combo.

The eye brow kit is less then £5 so it is a right bargain if I do say so myself! It is worth a try if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the high end brow kits which can cost your a bomb.
