24th Birthday haul | Would I Repurchase? Full Reviews | Kiko, Glossier, Clinique, Urban Decay

April seems like a very long time ago considering in two months it will be a full year. Man time flies! Back in April i shared with you some of the beauty products i received for my 24th birthday (link), i thought i would write another post dedicated to these products to give you my feedback and all but two are high on my radar.

Starting off with the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette (linkwhich i have used non stop since April. My preference for eye shadow shades is basically this palette, i can make great everyday looks with this palette as well as ramp up the shades on the right side of the palette for a more dramatic look. I already had the Naked Palette 2 which was a holy grail for a very long time. Now this palette has overtook the old favourite in my opinion. The shades are generously pigmentation and the formula is really easy to blend, i don't know one person who dislikes this palette.

Onto the two Kiko lip products starting with the lip scrub. I've used a few lip scrubs before mainly from Lush which came in a pot and tended to be messy and annoying but this stick is completely different. It is extremely handy to carry in your bag during the day to apply to your lips on the go. The lipstick style applicator makes applying it mush easier then the Lush tubs and also means there isn't any fall out over my clothing. The gist of this product is that your apply it to your lips before applying a lip product, use your finger then to rub in the excess product depending on how much you applied, then you wipe the residue off taking with it the dry skin on your lips. As you may or may not know my lips are 80% of the time severely dry so this product is extremely useful to me.

As for the Kiko Velvet Passion Matte Lipstick in the shade Rosy Brown (link), well i used this non stop over the last year. The shade is a dark but wearable brown nude which with a nude eye look, looks so beautiful. The shade is a universal nude with i bet would look different on different skin tones making it easy to wear for everyone. I found with this matte lipstick it lasted the whole day on my lips without drying them out which the name would suggest. Over the last year i have steered away from matte lip products to save my lips the pain, but this lipstick feels really comfortable on the skin. If i wasn't on a spending bad i would definitely try out some other Kiko matte lipsticks.

Second to last of the brands is the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer (Linkin the shade 3.5 Cream Rose. At first i had a real hate hate relationship with this foundation. I found when i applied it that i looked like a ghost, it creased everywhere and looks super cakey. I was put right off of the product so it sat in my makeup draw for quite a few months. Then only at Halloween did i actually bring it back out because i wanted a super pale foundation. This time when i applied the foundation with a much lighter hand, it looks super glowy, radiant and flawless. The key to this foundation is defiantly less is more! Since Halloween I became obsessed with the foundation and wore it on most days, it is a very full coverage formula which wears well through the day and lets your skin breath as long as you use a light head. I personally wouldn't use this product as a concealer too as i think that would end with a fairly cakey final product but i like the idea that if you needed to, you could just use this one product. The shade Cream Rose is fairly pink toned and sometimes looks a little funny on me especially when i have a tan so during the spring summer time i plan to purchase a darker shade with a more neutral undertone. I also can't wait to try some more Clinique base products but you know... spending ban.

Lastly it is time for the brand which i finally delved into last year... Glossier.
I finally tried some Glossier products last year thanks to my birthday and i have to say all but two products wowed the socks off me. Starting off with my favourite product, the Balmdotcom (Link) in Cherry. I have a large collection of lip balms flowing around the house on every floor in every room because you have to adhere to the call of dry lips. This is probably now my favourite lip balm product, it feels amazing on the skin, doesn't leave a slightly weird film along your lips with your apply it and lasts sooooo long! I use this product probably every day at least once and i still have so much left, a little goes a long way. I really want to try some other shades but you can't fault the cherry shade at all, the colour it gives your lips is so natural and plump.

On to my second favourite product that i tried, the Super Bounce Serum (Link). I used that serum everyday after i received it and not surprisingly, it didn't last long. The packaging is extremely small at only 25ml and £25 a bottle, but i would repurchase it straight away. It was amazing at giving my skin a boost and injecting hydration into my skin. I used it every morning and evening so it isn't surprising it lasted no time at all. My skin felt so good when i was using it and the product paired with the Clinique Surge Moisturiser left my skin in the best condition.

The Glossier Solution Exfoliate (Link) has been a big part of my skincare routine since i started it last year. At first it felt very strange on the skin and hurt quite a lot but after the second time my skin didn't burn anymore it just tingled. Very strange thing to say about a product you like but this exfoliate definitely works when it tingles. I like to use this after i have washed my face in the evenings and only when  i have spots or breakouts in full swing. The exfoliate strips all moisture out of your skin so as you can guess, i can't use this frequently unless i want to have the skin of a flakey pastry. But once and a while i use it in the evenings and if by magic the bumps, spots and black heads seem to head back to where they came from and disappear. If you have very sensitive skin i wouldn't recommend this product just to save you a bad reaction.

Finally onto the last two products which personally didn't tickle my fancy very much at all. The Milky Jelly Cleanser (Link) was a blogger favourite when it first came about and at the time i was really getting in to cleansers so couldn't wait to try it. Personally i think it is an alright cleanser/face wash and that is it, i don't think it is amazing but i also don't think it is terrible. I think for this product it is all down to your preference for formulas and results. I have my L'oreal Cleanser which i swear by and would pick over the Glossier cleanser every day when there are some people who swear by this product.

Lastly the biggest disappointment for me was the Glossier Priming Moisturiser (Link). I speak about this product in an upcoming Moisturiser round up post where when you compare it to the horde of products I've used over the last few years, it is shockingly simple. If i do pick up this product it is more than likely to use on top of a moisturizer and to give me a layer for my foundation to stick to. It is a less than par primer and a even less than par moisturizer. I really don't understand the hype around this product but like i said, it is all about your own preference so something i don't like may be your favourite product if you tried it.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts?
