Panda and checks

Excuse the mess but I'm currently living out a bag at my sisters and I hurriedly threw all the clothes that were in my travel bag on the floor to pack (making sure I had enough time to have a fashion shoot in front of the mirror of course!)

I bought this dress in the USC (the company that took over Republic) sale online and it was  just £14.

I love wearing big baggy smock dresses at the minute, I think they suit my shape and always look good with some tights and a pair of big chunky boots. This one caught my eye because it is a navy blue check design which I haven't seen much of before. I also bought another smock dress that is black and white but that is saved for another post...

The material is quite thin so it hangs really nicely off the body and you don't have to worry about it losing shape. So far I haven't had a big problem with the dress creasing easily as well which is a really good thing, but it is super easy to iron anyway, a boy could even do it!

I'm also wearing my really warm panda hat which my sister got me for christmas. I know that they don't conventionally go together but you have got to love animal hats when they look soooo cute on and I'm a sucker for anything super cute and with animals on :)

Outfits of the week #1

I'm going to start doing posts about my favourite outfits of the week as I enjoy writing outfit posts quite a bit so keep your eyes out for the future ones :)

I have had a bowler hat for some time now and if im being completely honest it has hardly seen the daylight. I love wearing hats but they just aren't practical at my job and since I work full time I rarely decide to pop it on on my day off (as I am usually in bed all day...) so I am making a conscious effort to wear my hat more.
My hat, top, ripped jeans and sheep coat are all from Newlook shock...

This is my favourite dress now since I ordered it the other week. I love that it is really easy to wear and I feel like I just throw it on with a belt and I'm sorted. I don't need to fuss about what to put with it or how to wear it. I also love the shoulders although they have been a little cold everytime I have worn it so maybe it's not for the Middle of winter haha.

(Excuse the funny hand...)
Lastly on my day off I wore my new fur collar from Newlook with a floral shirt which I think goes really well with it. I have wanted a fur collar for a while now but I was a little put off by them as i didn't want to look like Cruella de Vil (which I do think I do) but once I tried it with my sheep coat I felt more comfortable wearing it. Hopefully this won't be another bowler hat!

I would just like to add that I don't really care if your can see my messy room in the photos as when I'm getting ready my room never stays tidy, and who can honestly say their room isn't messy after they have got ready in the morning? :)

My week in outfits #1

I thought I'd start doing posts where I round up photos of the outfits I've wore that week that I especially like/love and wanted to share with you guys :)

The first outfit includes the floral shorts I recently bought and posted about which are my new favourite piece of clothing! They are so vibrate and eye catching, I had a few people come up to me and ask me where I got them from so I felt good that I pulled them off. They hang so nicely and the material is great because they are light and dont get creased when you sit down which is brilliant!
I would normal wear them with a chiffon cami top but because I was wearing them to work I didn't want to be moving around and flashing the flesh so I wore it with a plain strappy black t-shirt, black tights and a green cardigan which brought out the green in the shorts.
The shorts and cardigan are from Newlook and the tights and plain t-shirt are from Primark

The second outfit is a new dress I recently bought which I am loving for the warmer months. It's is a carpet pattern dress which feels very tribal (if you know what I mean). I paired it with a black and gold rope necklace (matalan), a brown belt and a black cardigan (Newlook) as I wore this the day before the heat wave so it was still pretty cold. I love that you can literally throw on this dress and go, it is very easy to wear.

And then lastly today since it's my day off and (apparently) it is going to be hot like it was yesterday (I wouldn't know...) I am wearing this fitted white and blue spot denim dress from Primark. I love how slim it makes me look and I think it makes me look taller as well which is a bonas! I'm wearing it with a little brown belt and some light brown sandle flats from Newlook.

Hope you've enjoyed this little post as I love reading them myself and I'm going to make them a regular thing here :) xx
