I haven't wrote a beauty post on this blog for what feels like ages (when actually I wrote one last month) so I think my blog is well over due some beauty chat! My makeup bag has changed a lot recently so I thought I'd take you through what is currently living in it.
Firstly for base I have been using the L'oreal Infallible 24hr matte foundation in vanilla which I repurchased last month. I used to be obsessed with this foundation last year as it is really easy to apply and it is fool proof foundation. After repurchasing it I can remember why I loved it so much but I do which I bought it in a darker shade as it doesn't suit my tanned neck and shoulders so much... My tan is starting to fade now though so I can get away with it with some bronzer all over my face.
For concealers I currently have 3 in my makeup bag to go between as I am trying out two new products. The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is of course in my bag for obvious reasons, my spots aren't going to cover themselves! I also have the Rimmel Match Perfection and the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealers in the shade Ivory to try out. So far I have found the wake me up concealer does crease under neath my eyes but I like it once it set down with powder, the match perfection concealer hasn't wowed me yet but I know a lot of people love this concealer so I will keep trying it till I like it.
I've been using the NYX Eye Shadow in the colour taupe to contour my cheeks which is the perfect shade to contour with and this is all I use most days. I find it doesn't look muddy like some contour products which is one of the reasons I keep it in my makeup bag to touch up any makeup look.
I keep the Max Factor Excess Shimmer Cream Eye Shadow in Bronze in my makeup bag because most days I can't be bothered to do anything fancy with powder eye shadows so I have been living in this eye shadow most days. I like to most days put a thin layer of colour on my lids to keep it casual and then if I am running out straight for the evening then I layer more product on to make the colour more prominent.
Lastly for my eyebrows I have gone back to using the Soap and Glory Brow Archery pencil in Brown and the Rimmel Super Curler Mascara on my lashes which I am really liking right now. It has a bent wand which makes it easier to grab all the lashes and I have a few super short bent eye lashes which this mascara can get so it is a winner.
Lastly on my lips I have been non stop wearing the Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in the shade Sand which is the perfect sheer nude shade to throw on with any makeup look.

I love getting dressed up for Valentines Day whether Cal and I are sitting at home watching a film or going out for a meal or a drink. This year Cal and I are going out to dinner and getting our favourite meal, curry! Not a very romantic meal I know but we love it!
For the evening I have already planned out my makeup for the night and it is a really easy gold bronzey look which is basically all I wear lately. For my base I am going to wear my all time favourite dewy foundation, L'Oreal True Match in shade Rose Vanilla. This foundation gives my skin a flawless healthy glow which is just want I want for Valentines. To give my skin even more glow I am going to be adding the Tanya Burr Face Illuminator which I love to mix in with foundations. When I mix it with matte foundations it adds some subtle glow to my skin and when I mix it with more dewy foundations, it keeps my foundation topped up with glow instead of becoming dull during the day. To prime my skin for my foundation I am going to be using my new favourite primer the Mac Prep + Prime Skin Base which I have used everyday since getting it last month.
On my cheeks I will be using a mix of the Tanya Burr Beautifully Defined palette and the Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer in Golden Days. The Tanya Burr palette is absolutely beautiful and I love using it for bronzed glowy looks. I will be using Caramel Kiss to bronze and slightly contour my cheeks and topping that up with the Revolution Baked Bronzer. Then adding Champagne Shimmer on the top which is a beautiful highlighter.
On my eyes I'm going to use the three shades in the Tanya Burr Beautifully Defined palette to create a golden shimmer eye look to match my cheeks. I also have the Seventeen Easy On The Eye Birthday Suit palette on hand too which has some amazing nude/golden shades which would work well with the Tanya Burr shades.
On the lips I have two different options because I am someone who changes my mind way to often. The first option is my mini Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red lipstick which is my favourite red at the minute and is the perfect red for Valentines. I also have my old favourite The Clinique Pop Lip Colour in Bare Pop which I always talk about because it is such a good moisturising nude. To add a little something to the nude lip I also have the Newlook High Shine Lip Glaze in Rose Gold to pop on top. I love adding this shimmer nude lip gloss on moisturising and matte nude lips.

I'm sure everyone will know who Zoe is. I've been subscribed to her channel for a year now and like everyone else, I've fallen in love with her! Her videos are about everything; clothes, makeup, crafty bits and some funny videos with the guys.

Gabby is such a lovely girl! Her channel has grown so much over the last fee months and it's not hard to see why. She does great tutorials and is hilarious in every video. Definitely someone to watch!

Corrie again is a lovely girl who makes great videos including clothing hauls and beauty tags. Her style is exactly like mine so I love her clothing videos.

Sineady's channel is great for makeup newbies who want to know the basics like the different concealers, hiding spots and how to apply foundation. She has literally filmed a video for every thing you could want to know.
These four girls are always top of my list when I look through my subscriptions, they are all really entertaining and have really helped me choose new products and find some right gems!

I recently found myself on H&M's website browsing for some sale treats when I was bored one evening and I noticed that for that day I could get free delivery, and so I had to buy at least something, you cant pass up free delivery! Anyway I got the end of the clothes pages and I haven't found anything that I liked enough to order (I'm rather picky when it comes to ordering clothes online) and so I felt quite defeated.
Then I noticed the beauty products page and I couldn't resist looking... Low and behold half an hour later I had ordered 3 blushers, a bronzer, a lipstick and two face masks...opps.
Now I love going in to Boots and spends ages going up and down the different make-up ranges and taking ages to pick which ones I'm actually going to leave it (I can go a bit crazy) but I also love trying out cosmetics from fashion retailers, I've found some gems over the last year. So I thought I'd try out these few bits... I'll leave some links to the items on the website if you want to take a look yourself.
First of all, I put some face masks in my basket (shock) for just 99p, YES 99p! You have no excuse not to use face masks when they cost less than a pound! Anyway I picked up a Goji Berry Superfruit Mud mask and a Coconut water Moisture mask, the mud mask is meant to tone and the moisture mask is meant to protect. I saw them on the website and thought they sounded nice and would smell amazing.
Next I added a bronzing power in 'Dark Tan' to my basket ready for the summer, compared to amount of blushers I have I needed a bigger choice of bronzers (only had two at the time) and so I thought I would give it a go. Its more of a golden shade than a brown like other bronzers are, I think it will be nice in the summer and on holiday when I have a tan. To view the bronzer then click here.
I have wanted a dark lipstick for the winter probably since before November all thanks to Zoella and I hadn't seen any that caught my eye really or that I thought suited me, and then I saw this shade when I was looking through the makeup and got a little excited. It is a gorgeous plum colour called 'Wild Thing' and It didn't disappoint me when it finally arrived. As soon as I opened it up I had to put it on straight away and then planned my outfit that day all around it. It lasted all day but over the hours it did become a little bit more subtle, but that may have been me just getting used to having darks lips. I would definitely recommend this lipstick to people who may be a bit scared of wearing a darker lipstick, it not so dark that you would be mistaken for looking dead like some lipsticks. Finally I went a little bit crazy with the blushers on the website, I basically couldn't decide between two of them so I decided to just get them all as it was free delivery (slaps wrist). The first one I knew as soon as I saw it on the page I was definitely going to buy it. The shade is called 'Pink Dahla' and it is a bright pink which is just gorgeous. To find this blush click here.
The next blusher is a peach shade which is more for the casual everyday look but I think it will become one of my favourites that I go to a lot, called 'Dazzling Peach'. When I wore this blusher out for the day with my sister, quite a few people asked about it and complimented me about it. The colour really suited me and it gave my cheeks a really natural glow and really made cheek bones come out. Definitely a blusher I would recommend! To find this shade click here.
The last blusher I purchased is called 'Sweet Rose' and again it is more of a daytime blusher that I think I will get a lot of use out of. It is a really nice colour on the skin, I wore it with a BB cream that is a little darker than my normal skin tone and they really complimented each other.
