I am still searching for items to add to my wardrobe to complete my aim to have a capsule wardrobe, I don't follow all the rules and I certainly have more items then the recommended capsule wardrobe but you can interpret it in your own way.
There are a few things which I am currently looking for to add to my wardrobe which I think will be
a welcome addition.
Blue Straight Jeans
I still don't have a pair of straight jeans in my life and the urge to buy a pair is growing daily. I can't justify buying another pair of jeans when I have 4 pairs of blue jeans already. I definitely need to declutter my jeans first before I purchase a pair but where to buy them from is another thing stopping me from purchasing them. I found this pair from Newlook which I really like the shape and colour off but I am slightly funny with jeans so the hassle of buying a pair which don't fit and returning them is putting me off. What are your recommendations for blue straight jeans? I have tried every Primark near me and I can't find their vintage straight jeans.
Black Blazer
Another staple in most peoples wardrobe which I am still lacking in is a black blazer. I know I would get a lot of wear out of one and I love the look of a black blazer, roll neck and a pair of blue jeans. This Topshop one is a lovely boxy fit with a tortoise button detail.
Ditzy Dress
I am seriously lacking in cute dresses I can wear with tights and boots in the winter so I did have a look on the Shein website this morning (which is currently having a black Friday sale) and purchased a few bits to try. I picked up this black and one collar dress which is baggy and flowy and hopefully flattering. I am having a sort of body moment at the minute and I was to stay away from tight fitted clothing that makes me look pregnant... Another dress that I picked up is this Ditsy Babydoll Dress which again is black and one but how many black and white dresses can you have? I will do a review of the order once it arrives as I'm sure you will be as interested in the quality as I am!
Graphic Tees
I have never really been into graphic or band tees but recently I have found myself being drawn towards them and I watched a clothing haul by Bang On Style and I became obsessed with her wolf tee shirt so I definitely want to add some into my collection now.
Patterned Tights
I may regret this and look about 12 but I am loving the look of a plain black dress and patterned tights this autumn and I would like to try the look soon. I am someone who loves a plain outfit so the tights will jazz it up a tiny bit and hopefully make a whole new range of outfits. I will let you know how I get on with this one...

What are you planning to add to your wardrobe this season?
We decided to visit Newcastle for Callum's birthday because he has supported the team since he was four so when i asked him where he wanted to visit for his birthday, it was a no brainer for him.
We traveled down on the Wednesday and made it just under four hours which isn't to bad considering how back traffic can be on the motorway. We arrived just before 2pm so had the whole afternoon to explore the place. When we return we have a few favourite places we want to visit again.
H O T E L
We picked to stay at the Romada Encore Hotel in Gateshead which is just a bridge away from Newcastle. We decided to stay just outside of the city center just so that we could get away from it all especially as the weekend approached. We have no bad words to say about this hotel. The staff were amazing and so friendly and unlike some hotel in the area, it included a car park which only cost £5 a day. We were right next to the Millenium Bridge so it only took us 10 minutes to be right in the center of the city
D A Y A C T I V I T E S
There are so many things to do in Newcastle we never got bored once, most of them involved alcohol but hey we are on our holidays! The first place we visited on Wednesday was the St James Football Stadium of course and Callum was in his element. We had a drink in the Nine bar located underneath the stadium and had a little planning sess of the next few days. Lucky we also go tickets to the Newcastle vs Huddersfield game on Saturday so we return for the game on our last day and it was a-m-a-zing!On from there we went to Lane 7 to play a few games of bowling, have a few drinks and fell like proper locals. The place is spaced out over 3 floors with bowling, ping pong, mini golf, a bar and a resturant. We really wanted to return before we left but we ran out of time.
Along the same line we also visited Space Golf in the middle of the centre which was a lot of fun. We first saw it while walking round one night but decided to actually go in during the day. It ended up being full of kids to maybe the evening might have been more fun with people the same age as us but we still enjoyed it.
Lastly if you are like me and Callum who love a walk, you will love Newcastle. most days we started and ended the days going on a random walk and we would end up at a random place with a cute little pub and having a drink. We also walked across all the bridges because they are so beautiful and the views from them are breathtaking.
S H O P P I N G
I love a bit of shopping but i was quite reserved while away but i did pick up a few bits. We visited the Gateshead Intu Metro Center first since it is meant to be the biggest center in England? There was loads there like food resturants and games areas as well as all the shops. Callum ended up winning me a Peter Rabbit in the grab machines which made me very happy! We had a lovely lunch in Coast to Coast which set us up for a day of shopping although i didn't end up buying anything that day.We then visited the Newcastle Intu Center the next day and i found it so much better! I found the lay out of the shops much easier to look round ended up finding loads of bits in Topshop. I would definitely recommend the Newcastle Center to the Gateshead Center.
F O O D & D R I N K
There are so many places to end and drink in Newcastle and unlike London, there are ridiculous ques and endless waiting. We went to quite a few places for dinner and lunch including Frankie and Bennys and Coast to Coast and then we tried a few random places. We had brunch one day at Georges Great British Kitchen in the Newcastle City Center, which also gave you 20% off if you had a match ticket which drew us in. I have definitely put on weight since we have been away.We did our fair share of day drinking while on our break (Callum more then me) and our favourite place we found has to be the The Stack in the City Center. It is made of loads of industrial containers which are made into drink and food places. You have loads of benches to site on all the levels and gas heaters attached to every table to it was lovely sitting outside. Although the weather while we were there was beautiful, it was nice to stick your face next to a heater. We ended up having fish and chips at The Stack and it was amazing!!
The last place we visited before we left was the By The River Brew and Co which is a brewery located just be the river, like the name suggests, where you can try loads of locally brewed drinks. It had a few food stalls getting ready for a busy Friday night when we arrived and we sat by the river with a heater and it was the perfect way to round off the break.
I can't wait to return to the city because it was such an amazing break. I would definitely say i prefer Newcastle to London 100% because it is less expensive, less busy and so so friendly! The only down side is that it takes me 4 hours to get there when as London is only a hours train journey away.
When we return i can't wait to explore much more of the city as i know we only saw a fraction of the place. If you have any recommendations for our next visit, leave me a comment so i can make a list of places to see! :)
First up I have been obsessed with using these Radox shower gels which I have talked about recently here, they are only one pound which is so good and they come in so many different scents. I am currently using the Pink Grapefruit and Basil scent which smells so refreshing and we also have the Mandarin and Lemon grass scent and the Eucalyptus and Citrus oil scent which both smell so amazing, The Eucalyptus gel smells like cleaning products but in a good way and the Mandarin gel smells like lemon sour sweets. These are great shower gels to use first thing in the morning to wake yourself up because they are so refreshing and relaxing you use.
Once I am all clean I then wash my mop which gets greasy quite easily recently so I have gone back to using the Pantene Prov Colour Protect shampoo which leaves my hair very soft and light after I have used it. I have really thick hair so a shampoo which leaves my hair feeling lighter makes styling my hair so much easier.
Lastly once my body and hair are clean I then wash my face so that any residue from the other products is washed off my face and I have been using the L'oreal Fine Flower Cream Gel Wash with my manual cleansing brush. I love my manual cleansing brush and use it everyday with one of two cleansers, my shower cleanser is the L'oreal one and my main bathroom cleanser is the Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser which is nearly running out because I use it so much. I hardly ever finish a skincare product as I tend to mix things up quite a big so to nearly finish a cleanser is big for me.
Anyway back to the point I have two cleanser brushes one for each bathroom because I am two lazy to run between the rooms... You can buy them in Primark for 2 pound so definitely worth a try. I think once you go cleansing brush you don't go back, my skin does not feel as clean if I use anything else.
SHOP THIS POST
We went to Stagsden Christmas Trees in Bedford which is basically 10 minutes away from the main Bedford roundabout. The small little inside shop sells everything from baubles, reefs, tables decorations and everything in between. I love cute little Christmas shops like this and had a good look round for some more house decs. I picked up a super cute white fur squirrel with tinsel wrapped around his neck which matches another two white animals we purchased from The Range previously. |I am planning on doing a Christmas Dec haul once we have all we need. I find in these kind of shops you find really special house ornaments and decorations that you keep for years and my little squirrel is definitely one of those.
Once we had a little shop inside we made our way in to the forest of Christmas trees which was just magical! Having grown up loving Christmas trees walking through a forest of thousands of them was definitely unreal. There were so many different types of trees to choose from, if it was me I don't know if I would have been able to choose to be honest. I did end up taking quite a few photos in the trees because who wouldn't?! I feel like this might be a yearly tradition now even just to tag along.
For those who are interested this is the tree Cal and I bought, we aren't getting it till after the 10th of December which way is too late for me which is why I have a second little white tree in our bedroom to keep my going till my main one arrives.
I have been super excited to show you all my bathrooms in my new home because I am so in love with them and they finally feel ready to be shown to the world! Call me sad but I love being nosey in peoples bathrooms, more than any other room is the house. I think it is because I spend a lot of time in there either have a overly long bath, getting ready for bed or the day ahead so I spend a lot of time in there.
I have three bathrooms in my house; the downstairs toilet, the main bathroom and the ensuite on the top floor (yes cleaning them all is a long job ...) so we had a lot of space to fill and a lot of products to spread out. We plan to use the ensuite more often when we have our mirror which Cal has recently made screwed into the wall but at the moment we only have a small mirror to use so we tend to mostly get ready in the main bathroom on the second floor.
F i r s t B a t h r o o m
Starting with the downstairs bathroom, we didn't want to over crowd it too much so we currently just have a small wood basket which a friend of mine got us as a moving in gift (it had a hand wash and candle and all cute bits in) to hold our toilet paper which I think looks super cute! We also have a white marble toilet brush holder from Dunelm which we really like against the black flooring. We also have a bottle of Baylis and Harding Pink Processco and Cassis Fragranced hand wash which smells divine! Nationwide sent us a huge hamper for choosing to get our mortgage with them and this was one of the items included which we loved. Cal has made a mirror for every bathroom in the house and the mirror that will be going in this bathroom is a big diamond which will tie the whole room together I think. 
M a i n B a t h r o o m
Since this is our biggest bathroom out of the three and the one we would probably use the most we wanted it to make it feel really cosy and relaxing. On the top shelf we firstly have our tooth brushes and tooth paste in a little candle holder with a C on from my sister many moons ago. I never intended to keep the candle holder as a tooth brush holder but now it would feel wrong having anything else! Next to that we have our Ikea mirror which is bloody brilliant! It doesn't matter which room you put it in or whereabouts in the room you always get brilliant light through it so doing your makeup in it is amazing! Again Cal is planning on making us a mirror that runs the length and width of the wall above the shelf but until they we are using this mirror to get ready in the mornings. Then just next to the mirror we have my Zoella My Eden candle as I love to have candle lit baths and this candle matches the bath really nicely.Down on the floor we have our black marble bin, toilet brush holder and toilet paper holder all from Dunelm again (seriously their home stuff is amazing and their sales are so good, some of the items I mention are full price but most were either on sale or just a really good price anyway!) We also have a white three tier shelving unit which we picked up from The Range in Milton Keynes which is amazing for home buys! This rack was only £15 and it has come in so handy and looks really nice in our simple bathroom. This rack holds all of Cal's products and then I have one on the top floor which holds all mine.
E n s u i t e
I never thought i'd ever say this but I have an ensuite! It is quite strange having one because it is lovely to only have to walk a few steps to go toilet but I don't find myself using it in the night because I am too scared to wake Cal up so I don't actually use it for its purpose. Anyway again this is only a small room so we didn't want to over crowd it so we just have my white three tier shelving unit which this time we found in Dunelm (we really like Dunelm...) which is a perfect match for our unit down stairs. We do have a plan to get a small white draw unit to have in the main bathroom and then to use our white shelves as his and her racks either side of the ensuite sink, cuties I know. We have a cute little rotating mirror from B&M sitting on the sink for now to use to get ready (Cal has made a circle pot hole mirror for this bathroom) and lastly we have our stripe toilet brush holder, tooth brush holder and soap dish all from yes you guessed it Dunelm which I absolutely love. I like that each bathroom has different accessories. Lastly in this room we just have a boring black pedal bin from Dunelm (shut up really?!) I love the skylight in this bathroom it makes the room so light no matter what time of day. I think this sky light compensates for not having a window in our min bathroom. I realise this is quite a long post and not everyone is interested in peoples bathrooms so if you have made it to the end well done! I will leave links to all the items I have talked about in case you want to copy me and have matching bathrooms, let me know if you do! Also please tell me you like looking at peoples bathrooms as much as me so I don't feel so lame! I plan to fill all three bathrooms with big green plants for the corners because I love how colorful but understated green plants look in white bathrooms.

People who have read my blog for a long while now will know of my obsession with buying a new coat every winter. I don't ever need a new coat, I just want a new one for the winter. Last year I bought my Del Boy Coat from eBay and absolutely loved it. I worn it to death -but it is still in great condition- well done eBay!
My second coat is from the Generation section at Newlook. Don't laugh at me when I tell you this but... It is age 10-11. I've always fitted into the teens section at Newlook but never have a ever fitted in something so small. Apart from the astonishing size it is a really great jacket. The material keeps me so so so warm I never want to take it off. It feels like I am wearing a fluffy dressing gown all day. I love the style of the jacket and the fact it isn't a really short version which I have seen around a lot. And it has pockets, I loveeeee pockets! Don't know why but if something has pockets, I'm more likely to want it. With my discount it was only £20 which I thought was a really good price for a jacket.
This year I have already bought my new coat for this winter, and I may have bought more than one... naughty me.
The first coat I picked up is actually a jacket, a very nice jacket. I have been obsessed with finding a denim jacket with a fur collar ever since Corrie from Dizzy Brunette wore one in one of her videos. My one is from Primark and was a bargain at £16! I bought it in a size up so I can layer it over jumpers and thicker tops when it gets colder. I love the fur collar on this jacket especially the colour, which I can remove if I wanted to, but I won't. The fit of the jacket is great and although I have to roll the sleeves up one time, it fits me like a glove everywhere else.
I'm planning to wear this jacket with black jeans and leggings this winter, as well as over casual dresses.

I bought a few bits last time I went to town and what started out as a day off with my boyfriend and sister turned into a major shopping spree on my and my sisters part... It just escalated too quickly to stop ourselves and to be honest we didn't want to stop!
The bulk of my spree was spent in Superdrug, I originally only went into Superdrug for my sister because she wanted to pick up some concealer but it didn't stop there. I picked up two Sleek face palettes which I've been itching to try out for ages now. I picked up the blush By 3 palette and the face Form contouring and blush palette and i can't wait to try them out!
I also picked up a new Barry M nail vanish in shade 272 shocking pink, a MUA power pout lip stick in shade Crazy in love and the Rimmel London Kate mascara in the shade 007 Eye Rock Emerald. I didn't realise that it was green until I got it home but it actually works really nice and you cant tell that it isn't black once its on your eye lashes. I really need to check the colour of a mascara before I buy them!
I also bought some new clothes in Newlook and Primark which are perfect for the colder months in autumn. Firstly I picked up a pair of little boots which I am in love with already! They are perfect to wear with leggings or jeans and frilly socks and a big baggy jumper. I also bought two new pairs of jeans as I have had to throw out a few of my old favourites recently, my favourite are the ripped light jeans from Newlook (Other pair from Primark). I picked up 5 shirts from Newlook recently, the plain white shirt I picked up to wear underneath jumpers and bulker tops. The last clothing item i picked up was this black and white checked stretchy skirt from the 915 section in Newlook.
I've chosen to write this post after I have already worn most of the clothes and they are in the wash so I've had to get a photo off of the websites for some of them... some are sold out so I cant show you a photo, sorry!

I recently went on a little adventure with my sister to a village in Weedon (near Daventry) for a girlie afternoon out. I searched on the internet places to go in Northamptonshire and I found the website for this little place in Weedon called Heart of the Shires. It is a little shopping enclosure (if that's what you would call it) that has a tea room, art gallery, garden room and a few cute shops.
There is a super cute tea room there set in a old cottage looking building, that even on this bright but dreary day, made me feel like we were in the middle of summer. I can't wait to go back when it actually is warmer and I can sit outside in the garden where there are little garden tables, round the back of the tea room. The service is very friendly there and the tearoom was very calm and relaxing so was perfect to grab a tea and hot chocolate in after we spent all our money. I recommend the toasted tea cake!
Most of the shops are full of cute house bits and bobs, perfect things for lovers of anything shabby chic! There's only a few pieces of each of the items so you don't have to worry about anyone having the same items as you. You would think it being a village that all the pieces would be ridiculously priced but all the items were at such good prices I went a bit crazy while I was there, I couldn't stop myself when the prices of all these cute little pieces were so good! There is a theme in most of the shops and that is hearts, nearly every shop has heart pieces in it, all really cute items, mostly made of white wood.
The service in the shops is great, everyone says hello to you when you enter and says have a nice day when you leave, which I find is hard to find on the high street or in shopping centres.
Most of the shops are separated outside but inside a building there were also some more shops including a sweet shop yum and a jewellery shop. While in this shop me and my sister got talking to the owner who let us try on loads of new bracelets she was viewing with what I am guessing is a supplier. We both fell in love with these unique bracelets that they were looking at, really cute silver clasp bracelets with real leather straps, all of different styles , colours and with different clasps.
Again the shop was really friendly and the women who showed us the bracelets were extremely kind and helped us out with the names of the bracelets we wanted so that we could ring them up and reserve some when they were available.
In the middle of the complex there is a bandstand and quite a few tables and seats to sit in and enjoy the sun, take a break from shopping and grab tea and cakes from the tea room.
The best thing about these shops is that because it is in the middle of the countryside, the shopping experience is so peaceful. You don't have rude people making a loud racket while you are trying to have a look around, you can look round at your own pace, without people hassling you, in peace. It really is a lovely place to shop, especially for birthday/Christmas presents.
