Something that I always forget about when I am doing my makeup is blusher, mainly because I have always been a bronze/contour girl at heart but also because I don't think I have the right face shape to use both. I try and copy people on YouTube and I look like a drag queen-true story. Even though I don't wear blushers at all I have a large collection of them in my stash which as you can tell, never get used. I really need to start shopping my stash pronto as I have put myself on a spending ban to help me save money for a mortgage, so here are a few items I am hoping to slowly start to love using in my routine.
I'll start with the newest edition to my blush collection, the Bourjois Aqua Blush in in 02 CocoriCorail. I watched lots of tutorials using this blush product and thought it would be perfect for a blush novest like me but I've never really used it apart from the first day I got. I don't know if I am using it right or not but I haven't given it the time of day at all so this product definitely needs some more love!
A sample that I have had for a long while now and always keep telling myself to use is the Benefit Benetint. The idea of it intrigues me but I always forget that I have it in my stash. I intend to start using it regularly this summer as it is a product that you can't go wrong with and its quick and easy to apply.
A very scary looking blusher is the Revlon Photo Ready blush in Coral Reef 300, this product is months old and used to be a big favourite of mine but recently I have totally forgot about it and neglected it. Even though it is really scary looking in the pan it comes across really soft and subtle when it is blended in. Perfect to give your face a little big of dimension while not being too in your face.
The Sleek blush palette by 3 in Lace I have had for donkeys years and I haven't actually used it once! What a waste! The quality of the powder products from Sleek are so good but that is what is scaring me about this trio. They aren't just pretty normal colours... they are bright babies! I am going to start using this super neglected palette with a very light hand!
My last neglected blush is the Elf blush in Mellow Mauve which I didn't buy that long ago. Even though this is a really pretty natural flushed colour I have hardly used it since purchasing it. The quality of this product is very similar to Sleek which is great for the price, but it also is subtle and builds evenly. This will be my everyday natural blush choice.

Do any of you have these products? Which one works best for you?
Working in retail usually means I have to work major holidays and events and Black Friday was definitely a big event this year. You couldn't go anywhere without seeing posters and adverts for it. I worked most of Black Friday Weekend so could only look for bargains online. I had a good look through the Elf website and found some little goodies.
I didn't expect to buy much to be honest but they had an offer where if you spent over £20 you got a free gift which was a make up set bundle and free delivery so I couldn't resist.
The first item I picked myself was the 32 piece eye shadow palette which is so dreamy. It includes 3 matte shades and 28 shimmer shades from beautiful nudes to dark browns and blacks. I can't wait to try this out I'm a big fan of all the shimmer brown shades plus the different shades of black are going to be great for smokey eyes. I also like the more stand out colours so hopefully I can create some great make up looks with them.
The next item I purchased was the Warm Studio Bronzers which screams Nars to me. The packaging is a direct copy of the Nars packaging and I love it. It includes a contour shade, a bronzer, a highlighter and a blush and I choose the Warm shade so it came with a blush that I could use as a bronzer. They all have a slight shimmer to them and again I can't wait to try this out. I think it will be perfect to carry in my handbag on the go.
The next few items where included in the free set I got. The first is a blush brush which is so so soft! The second is this blush in the shade Mellow Mauve and it is what I would call a bronzer blush because it is warm toned and can be used a bronzer. The next item is this Baked Eye Shadow in Toasted which is beautiful and very wintery/christmasy. I love ELF's baked blushes so I know I am going to love this eye shadow. Next is this Mineral Lipstick in Beautiful Berry which is a really nice autumn shade. Last are two eye products, the Expert Liquid Liner and the 3in1 Lengthen, Define and Volumize mascara.
I'm really excited to try out all of these products as ELF is a brand I haven't had a bad product from yet. You might see some of these products creep into my future favourites posts.

I've told you guys what clothing choices I can't wait to wear this spring and here are a collection of my favourite blush colours to wear during the warmer months :)
Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice -
This palette first of all is just gorgeous. Makeup revolution really know how to package there products well and most importantly, how to make high quality products. You get 6 colours in this palette, 4 blushes and 2 highlighters and they are all gorgeous. My favourite colours that I have been wearing already are the two bottoms shades. I also think the top left colour would work as a great light contour too.
Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace 367 -
Here is another palette that is very spring friendly. I'm not too sure about the Orange toned blush but the other two are just beautiful high quality colours and the middle shade is my favourite.
H&M Make Me Blush in Pink Dahla 14 -
This is a lovely fishia pinky shade which I have been quite scared to wear before because it is so highly pigmented but I'm hoping with a light hand it will give me a lovely flushed look. The shade is gorgeous and well worth the few pounds that I paid for it.
Revlon Photoready in Coral Reef 300 -
This product is maybe the perfect creme blush for spring summer I have loved it the whole time I have had it. It has been mentioned in a few posts before and I still love to use it, it gives me a lovely natural flush but you have to be careful to use a light hand.
Hello lovelies!
I have a review on a Revlon blush product for you guys which has been in at least one of my monthly favourites and a few other make up tag posts in recent months. I'm going to be talking about the Revlon photo ready crème blush in the shade 300 coral reef.
I'm going to start off by saying this is my first crème blush product (aside from a really old product I had when I was little from a Sabrina the teenage witch magazine) and so when I purchased this late last year for a Halloween make up idea, I didn't know what to expect from it and to be completely honest I didn't know how to use it.
The shade is actually perfect for my skin tone I think, it looks really red in the pot and if you use too much on your cheeks, then you will end up with bright red cheeks but if you know how much to use on your face, it can look really nice and natural and healthy. It gives me a really nice healthy glow to my cheeks which I love.
After a lot of practice I now know the trick to applying it, after countless tries where I ended up looking like a china doll! The product is super pigmented so you only need a little bit of product on your fingers to make it work on your cheeks. I know it may be unhygienic to use my fingers but I find that it works best for me so I just keep doing it haha.
I put a little bit onto my fingers and then do a duck face as you do... I rub the product on to my cheeks in a circular motion and make sure that I really rub it in so it is all even. Most of the time I will then use my flat top blush brush to blend it out even more just to make sure it looks all natural.
It looks really nice by itself on 'no make up days' and it also works really well with other blush products which are a bit darker to make more of a statement for a night out.
I find that this lasts longer than any other powder blush product that I own even when I've been at work all day it stays put until the end, I would say it has converted me to crème blushes and I never thought I would have said that.
This is a product that I would definitely repurchase and I am excited to try the different shades in the range, have any of you tried it? What are your thoughts? :)
