Its time again where I re-look at my seasonal wardrobe and think about that items I am missing to make the capsule perfect. My spring wardrobe doesn't have a long way to go now since I started practicing having a capsule wardrobe this time last year, so I started investing in timeless pieces last spring and these have all come out of storage now.
I can see that there are a few odd little pieces which I am missing from my capsule. You will notice that all of the items are plan and neutral off course because I am all about the neutrals in spring. My colour palette is mainly creams, beiges, green along the white and black basics I keep in my wardrobe throughout the year.
Take a look at some of the items i'm on the look out for this spring-
Cream/off white Cami
I wore my black cami top to death last spring summer so I know a cream or off white version will get so much wear in my wardrobe. You can pair these will so much and make so many different outfits with them so this is on the top of my list to buy.
Cream Blazer
An essential in most peoples wardrobe and something I am seriously lacking in! I am picturing blue denim jeans, a cream cami and a cream blazer on top with some loafers as the perfect spring outfit.
Green Trousers
I am trying to steer away from wearing black trousers during the spring and summer months so I am on the look out for a pair of comfy paper bag waist trousers to pair with lighter coloured cami tops and shirts. I love a green and brown colour palette when I have a tan so hopefully all this sunbathing in the garden will give me a nice even tan.
Blue Jeans
I am still on the look out for a nice pair of light blue denim wash jeans which are either mom style or straight but are on the slimmer side. I see some many people wearing light blue straight jeans and they look amazing, then I order a pair or try on some in store and I have the way they look on me. Hopefully one day I'll find a pair that sort my shape.
White Shorts
To complete my shorts collection all I need now is a pair of white shorts. I also ready have a black denim pair and a two comfy smartish pairs in green and oatmeal so a green pair with will perfect to make a few more outfits in the hotter months. I am imagining a all white outfit with a white short and then a tan bag and tan shoes, that is something I an pinning continuously on Pinterest.
Beige Trench Coat
I have as some people may see, jumped on the bandwagon and now want a trench coat. I think a light coloured camel/cream trench would get so much wear in my wardrobe over spring summer and even autumn time. My only long coats are my winter boyfriend style blazer coats which are just too heavy to wear outside of winter. I would like to find a second hand vintage trench so that it has a bit more character then the coats being made today but god knows if I will be able to find one.

How is it April already? Before we know it it will be the end of August and we all will be wondering where the summer went! Since we last spoke i have had a lovely birthday weekend down in Brighton where one day it was sunny and hot and the next it was miserable and raining. Spring can be such a headache when it comes to work to wear.
I have been completed engulfed but the whole capsule wardrobe frame of mind and thanks to Anna from the Anna Edit, my wardrobe is considerably smaller than it was a year ago. Since reducing the size of my wardrobe i have found that i now love all my clothes instead of forgetting about some pieces which were hidden behind the piles. I still have a few favourite pieces which get a little more love then the rest and today i am going to take you through the 5 items i know i will be continuously rotating over the spring season.
First up is my trusty mustard Zara faux leather jacket (similar) which i picked up in Barcelona 3 years ago. I can literally pair this jacket with anything and it looks amazing, especially if the outfit is a little plan jane (which you know is my favourite). Considering i have worn it so many times over the years, it still looks bloody brand new, well done Zara. I love everything about this jacket from the colour which really suits my skin tone, to the cut and style of the cropped body. I haven't been able to wear this jacket since last summer because it has been so cold so i can't wait to whip it back out.
Next up is my Asos Mini Denim Skirt (link) which i have been kinda obsessed with over the winter period with thick black tights so i am kinda excited to pair it with more lighter tights in the warmer weather. I find with this skirt that no matter what kind of day i am having, i feel amazing in the skirt. I can try on my whole wardrobe and feel really fat and frumpy but when i put on this skirt with some tights and a black roll neck, i feel good again. It is kinda like a safety blanket, if i'm having a fat day i wear my skirt, if i wanna look rocky i put on the skirt, if im cold but i want to look cute i put on the skirt. I definitely know i wont be wearing the skirt during the summer months because i would have a check slip every five minutes so i want to give it even more love before it gets too warm.
My next item is something that people who know me in real life would say i wear about 90% of the time. I love a good dungaree dress and i have four denim styles and 1 cord style, don't judge me on the cord one it is super cute. With dungaree dress they work with any weather whether it is summer or winter so they are items will you can keep in your wardrobe throughout the year. I love weather them with tights and jumpers but my favourite way to style them is with a basic t-shirt underneath with sandals. I get hot and flustered quite easy so when it is hot i need to be free and breath and dungaree dresses are great for that because they give you so much room to breath without making you look like your wearing a bin bag. This Newlook dungaree dress (petite) is probably my favourite because it is a little bit longer than my others and is super baggy so perfect on a fat day.
My fourth item which will be a must during the spring season is my Primark mom jeans (similar). I love these so much i have them in two different sizes because like I've said before, i sometimes have fat days. The last thing i want to do when the weather is lovely and spring like outside is pull on a pair of skinny jeans, it just doesn't feel right so i know at the weekends if i am going to be wearing jeans, it will be this pair with a tight crop top and my mustard jacket. It is just a easy casual look and super comfy,
My last spring staple is this Jacket Willis midi dress. I have never shopped in Jack Willis (link) before because basically i am a high street girl at heart and i cant imagine paying so much for clothing, but when i walked past my local JW i noticed this dress in the window and it was reduced from £79 to £25 so i couldn't walk by. This was exactly the kind of dress i was looking for and i didn't have anything like it in my collection. I bought it with the intention of wearing it with a brown belt and brown boots and i definitely will be this spring.

I'm pretty sure with these five items i am set for the next few months outfit wise.
There are a few bits that i want to add to my spring capsule wardrobe for spring which i will be in another post for you.
First up I have been obsessed with using these Radox shower gels which I have talked about recently here, they are only one pound which is so good and they come in so many different scents. I am currently using the Pink Grapefruit and Basil scent which smells so refreshing and we also have the Mandarin and Lemon grass scent and the Eucalyptus and Citrus oil scent which both smell so amazing, The Eucalyptus gel smells like cleaning products but in a good way and the Mandarin gel smells like lemon sour sweets. These are great shower gels to use first thing in the morning to wake yourself up because they are so refreshing and relaxing you use.
Once I am all clean I then wash my mop which gets greasy quite easily recently so I have gone back to using the Pantene Prov Colour Protect shampoo which leaves my hair very soft and light after I have used it. I have really thick hair so a shampoo which leaves my hair feeling lighter makes styling my hair so much easier.
Lastly once my body and hair are clean I then wash my face so that any residue from the other products is washed off my face and I have been using the L'oreal Fine Flower Cream Gel Wash with my manual cleansing brush. I love my manual cleansing brush and use it everyday with one of two cleansers, my shower cleanser is the L'oreal one and my main bathroom cleanser is the Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser which is nearly running out because I use it so much. I hardly ever finish a skincare product as I tend to mix things up quite a big so to nearly finish a cleanser is big for me.
Anyway back to the point I have two cleanser brushes one for each bathroom because I am two lazy to run between the rooms... You can buy them in Primark for 2 pound so definitely worth a try. I think once you go cleansing brush you don't go back, my skin does not feel as clean if I use anything else.

Since it looks like we wont be getting sunshine anytime soon in England I am gonna need to fake my glow some other way and thankfully I have some products in my stash that do just that. I am tired of being pale and wrapping up and so I looking forward to going outside without a coat and not having my makeup end up all over my coat rather than on my face.
Starting off with skincare I find using Origins GinZing moisturiser and the Clinique Prep Start eye cream leave my skin feeling and looking super healthy, it also creates a great base for makeup when I want a super dewy look. They are both moisturising products which are light weight and easy to work together and with my makeup.
Sticking with the skincare I love using the Dove Summer Glow Moisturizer to hydrate my skin as well as give me a really beautiful golden tan. I am not the best at applying tanning products but with this moisturiser you really can't go wrong. You just apply the moisturiser to your skin after a shower or bath and the more product you apply the more tanned you appear. I normally apply a thin layer to my skin on a daily basis to build it up gradually and then when a need a quick tan I just apply a large amount. This exact bottle as well is only sold in B&M stores for 2 pound so make sure you don't buy the new smaller tubs that are more expensive!
Now that my skin is glowing I need a glowing face, my two favourite bases to use for good glowing skin are the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in Ivory and the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in Vanilla. Bourjois is my more natural glowy skin base where as the Rimmel foundation is my more tanned bronzed base for when I have a real good tan. Both foundations give me a great base which lasts all day and doesn't dull during wear. I like to match my concealers when I use these foundations so when I wear the Bourjois foundation I pair it with the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer and when I wear the Rimmel foundation I pair it with the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. The Rimmel concealer is super weightless and light coverage and good for when you don't really need to wear a concealer but feel weird not applying it where as the Bourjois concealer is super high coverage and really brightening at the same time.
Lastly to add more glow to my base I still love to use the Tanya Burr Skin Illuminator and the Loreal True Match Highlighter in Golden Glow. I have spoken about these two products many times before and you know I love wearing these underneath my foundation as an all over natural glow or on the tops of my cheekbones for a stand out glow.
I am so ready for the Spring time now after this horrible weather we have been getting so I have been getting all my Spring makeup out of my draws so I am ready for the sun. What new Spring products do I need in my life?
I love the clothing in shops during spring time because it is so colourful and you can pick up items which you can wear when it is cold and when it is hot with different alternatives. I thought i'd share with you of my favourite items which I love to wear during this season.

This won't be a surprise to some of you because I live in long skirts during the warmer months, even though I am only 5 foot I think these really suit my size and shape at the right length and I much prefer wearing long shirts to wearing short shorts. I am not a big suns out legs out kind of girl. I love pairing long skirts with cropped tops or tip tops which I can tuck inside the skirts. I am lucky enough to have an alright waist so I like to show it off when I can.

I love to stick on a big smock top with a pair of skinny ripped jeans as it looks like you've put a lot of effort into your clothes when really all I've done is chuck on some clothes. I like to pair them with black skinny jeans and blue ripped skinny jeans and they work with both.

Clot trousers are a staple in my wardrobe around this time of year because they work with any weather and suits my body shape to a tee. Again I like them because they are usually high waist so they emphasis my small waist. I pair these with cropped tops and they can look really casual or dressed up with wedges or heels.

I didn't hop on the bralet trend when it first came around but after a while I couldn't keep away and now that I own one I have fell in love. I don't like the bralets that have a thin strap on them as they make my boobs look a little pointy! But bralets with big straps looks good so I am trying to find as many as I can. I also love how these look underneath baggy t-shirts.
What are some of your favourite outfits this spring?

This spring I am mixing up my body skincare collection with a few new editions and a few re purchases.
One of my favourite smelling bath products during most of the year but definitely during the warmer months to is the Lush The Comforter Shower Cream which is one of the best products I have ever smelt. This shower cream can be used as a shower cream and can be used to make amazing smelling bubbles for the bath. I am currently on my third bottle of this stuff and I can't get enough of it. It smells like the Calpol you had when you were a child which is what attracted me to it in the first place. I used to enjoy taking Calpol when I was ill so I have to be really strong and not eat it!
Another shower cream which smells amazing is the Treaclemoon Vanilla Bath and Shower Gel which smells of vanilla cheesecake, could it get any better? This product is so inexpensive currently at £2 and you get such a large bottle it is basically a steal. This bottle has lasted me so long already and I usually either use this as a shower gel or as bubble bath. It creates so many bubbles which smell amazing.
A body butter which smells like summer in a tub is the Bodyshop Papaya Body Butter. This body butter is super rich and smooth so it leaves the skin feeling like a new born baby. You also get a lot of product in the tub which makes it worth the money. It smells like a mix between cream and fruit so just imagine a very Instagram worthy breakfast bowl and you've hit the nail on the head.
Another Lush product which smells like heaven is the Snow Fairy Shower Gel. Again I can use this in my bath to create bubbles and it leaves my skin smelling amazing just like their Bubble Gum lip scrub. I totally forgot how much I loved the smell of bubble gum until I started collecting the Lush scented products and now I can't get enough of it. Lush can' go wrong with their scents in my opinion.
The Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash has been a staple in my bathroom since I was a teenager and still today I love to go back to it. I have never had a bad product from Soap and Glory so I know I can pick up any product and like it without reading reviews. This wash smells of citrus fruits but times a 100 and it leaves my body super smooth and the smell lingers on my skin all morning. It is also the best thing to use first thing in the morning to wake you up.
If you have any recommendations for amazing smelling products then comment them below!

Over the last week I have bought quite a few new bits for the warmer weather and thankfully for my birthday weekend which I bought most of these, the weather was absolutely beautiful.
Firstly I went into Newlook and found some really pretty things, the first floral dress is a sheer see through material which I really like for when it is sunny but not particularly warm. I paired this dress with a black crop top underneath with my light blue ripped denim which looked pretty funky.

The yellow and blue skirt caught my eye straight away for the summer, paired with a yellow, blue or even white strapy top I think this will look really effortlessly put together and I love the split down the middle.

Lastly from Newlook I gathered these two sheer peplum tops which I've had my eye on for a while. I don't particularity like my stomach so anything that hides it is a bonus. I picked up the black version because you can never have enough black in your wardrobe and the baby pink version which will be perfect for spring.
Then in Primark I found a few more cute tops to add to my collection and you can definitely tell I have a new favourite type of tops... The first top is another peplum top in a light grey which was only £3 so I had to buy it. It has a cute butterfly embroidery effort on it which I think with a strapy one top will look lovely on a sunny day.
Next is a really pretty black embroidery top which I love with my yellow Zara leather jacket and blue jeans It hangs really nice over high waist and normal jeans and it works with black and blue jeans.
Lastly for Primark I have this black and white ginham peplum top shock which is a little bit over sized so it is really flattering.

How gorgeous is this Zara jacket?? It comes in black and baby pink and it has cropped sleeves and body which looks lovely with high waist jeans and a cropped top. My sister bought me this for my birthday and I absolutely love it! It is quite a thin material but it surprisingly kept me warm on a rather cold day.
Lastly I bought three new pairs of shoes from Newlook and Primark which are super cute and rather expensive looking for the price I think. The first are the black flat bow slip ons which were only £8 but I think they look much more expensive than that. Second are the black gold heel slip ons which were £12 and looks really nice with jeans and makes a plan outfit a bit more smart. Lastly I have these brown lace up peep toe heels which Cal got me for my birthday which I know they will kill my feet for the first few times but they will look really nice during the day with blue jeans and white shirts.
Since the clocks have finally gone forward I think its about time I embraced the spring season in full swing. I feel like I've been waiting for spring to come around for so long, this winter has definitely took its toll on me. I am ready for the coral shades and the sunshine days.
During the spring time I like to keep my base quite simple and light so I'll been wearing my Bourjois City Radiance foundation in the shade 02 which has been a favourite of mine since I tried it out late last year. It is a light weight medium coverage foundation which looks flawless and glowy on the skin and lasts all day on my face. When you first apply this foundation it looks really light compared to the skin but once it is blended it it is my perfect skin shade. As well as the Bourjois foundation I like to use the Bourjois Radiance concealer in the shade 01 Ivory to cover my under eyes circles, it brightens as well as concealers the area which is perfect for a spring healthy makeup look.
To keep my base in place all day I have a few primers/liquid products which keep my makeup in place and gives me a little subtle glow underneath my foundation. The Nivea Post Shaving Balm has been a favourite of mine during the warmer months since last year as it holds my base in place all day and makes me look so healthy. Two new base products that are perfect for the spring time are the Tanya Burr Face Illuminator and L'Oreal True Match Highlighter in Golden Glow which are both are firm favourites of mine.
On my cheeks I have a new blush which I know what your thinking, 'you don't even wear blush?!'. Yes I know I haven't wore blush in probably years but I have finally found a blush that works for me. This Newlook Baked Blush in Morocan Rose which is a golden rose shade which I think really suits my skin tone and looks gorgeous mixed with a golden bronzer. My go to bronzer for the spring time is the Bodyshop Honey Bronzer in 01 which is a super natural bronzer that looks good even when I am really pale.
On my eyes I have two pink palettes which are perfect for the spring time and look gorgeous on the eyes. The first is the W7 In The Nude Palette which I have mentioned a few times and pull it out whenever I want a pinky look. The palette includes some lovely matte shades and a few shimmer shades which wore really well with the matte shades underneath. The other palette is the Seventeen Easy On The Eyes palette in Birthday Suit which includes 4 cream shades and 8 powder shades which I have been using non stop this past week. I like to use the cream golden nude shade as a base for the powder eye shadow and then top it off with the golden pink powder shades which make my eyes pop.
On the lips I have two very similar lip glosses which I like to wear with minimal makeup which are Soap and Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss in Plumsup and Mac's Cremesheen in Deelight which are both similar baby pink shades which look quite minimal but pretty at the same time. You can whack these glosses on and it looks like you have made a lot of effort.

I've told you guys what clothing choices I can't wait to wear this spring and here are a collection of my favourite blush colours to wear during the warmer months :)
Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice -
This palette first of all is just gorgeous. Makeup revolution really know how to package there products well and most importantly, how to make high quality products. You get 6 colours in this palette, 4 blushes and 2 highlighters and they are all gorgeous. My favourite colours that I have been wearing already are the two bottoms shades. I also think the top left colour would work as a great light contour too.
Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace 367 -
Here is another palette that is very spring friendly. I'm not too sure about the Orange toned blush but the other two are just beautiful high quality colours and the middle shade is my favourite.
H&M Make Me Blush in Pink Dahla 14 -
This is a lovely fishia pinky shade which I have been quite scared to wear before because it is so highly pigmented but I'm hoping with a light hand it will give me a lovely flushed look. The shade is gorgeous and well worth the few pounds that I paid for it.
Revlon Photoready in Coral Reef 300 -
This product is maybe the perfect creme blush for spring summer I have loved it the whole time I have had it. It has been mentioned in a few posts before and I still love to use it, it gives me a lovely natural flush but you have to be careful to use a light hand.
I cant wait for spring to finally be here! I love the winter period because of Christmas, but after Christmas has gone I just want the weather to go back to normal. I'm bored of wearing coats and boots and long for the day I can wear a dress and sandals.
In that spirit I have a few items that I cant wait to use/wear in the warmer months.
This long floral blazer I purchased in the Miss Selfridges sale over Christmas and I have been itching to wear it ever since then. I think it will look great with black jeans or leggings and a nice top, I just need the weather to brighten up because I don't think I can pull this off underneath a coat because it is so long!
The photos really don't do the jacket justice so I will be doing a outfit post on it once its warm enough to wear it.
I bought this long line black and white stripe skirt from Newlook in January and it was a bit of a impulse buy as I am very very short (5 foot nothing) and so I did not know whether I could pull of this length of skirt without looking like a grandma. I've dressed it up with a plain cropped black top which I really liked the look off but again it is way too cold to think about wearing it right now.
Ripped jeans are one fashion item that I think can be worn in any weather or season. I wore my black pair during the colder months and I have my light blue pair ready to pop on when the sun is out. I'm planning on wearing these jeans when the weather perks up, these go with everything so they are a staple item for spring/summer.
Look out for a spring edition of my favourite blushes that I will be using this spring. Have you got anything you can't wait to wear this spring?
I am itching for the time when I can go outside without a coat on and rock a cute floral dress without freezing to death, so when I see lots of spring coloured clothes come into work I get a little giddy inside. So it inspired me to write a few posts about the things that I can't wait to start using/wearing when spring properly starts.
I'm going to start with my favourite nail polishes and after I will post about the clothes that I have purchased over the last few months that I haven't got a chance to wear yet due to the weather being miserable.
So starting off with my nails...
I apologise for a few of my products being gifts from people so I cant give you a website or colour code for some of them, if I do find them on any websites or their names I will let you guys know :)
I have this gorgeous I guess you would call it a shimmering cream colour by Fearne which doesn't have any indication of what the colour is called. I got this in a set for Christmas and I have tried to find it again on the Boots website but it seems to have been taken off which is a bit annoying but anyway. This is a really nice subtle colour and goes really well on your ring finger for a bit of contrast with maybe a pink or peach colour on the rest of your nails. Its doesn't have a thick consistency but it also isn't really thin, its kind of perfect in the middle.
Next I have two colours that I got in another set for Christmas I'm sorry! which go so well together and will be perfect with pretty dresses and when the sun is out. These are from Boots I believe and the first colour is a very pure baby pink while the other one is a darker bright pink. They are very girlie and have lasted a good few days while I have been at work so well done to them!
I have two Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine polishes in 306 Greenberry and 235 Blueberry which are such lovely colours. Every time I wear either one of these nail polishes, someone will compliment me on them and ask about them. The consistency of this nail polishes are amazing, where as with other makes where you have to put two coats on just to have a even layer, these nail polishes just glide on really easily and you only need one layer for a full coverage. The colours as well are so vibrate, they are a really nice mint green (which doesn't look much different to the blue in the photo) and a pastel blue which are perfect for the spring and summer.
Lastly I have another Fearne nail polish in a very pale baby blue which is lovely. You can either use one coat for a subtle colour or two coats for a more brighter colour.
I know I will be going between these few colours when the weather warms up and I can't wait for that time! I hate the time between Christmas and spring when the weather is horrible but you can't focus on Christmas anymore :(
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this little post and look out for my spring clothing post soon :)
