working from home
I think one thing we are all a little scared of at this current point in time is keeping busy. If you are used to working a 9-5 job and then enjoying yourself at the weekend, sitting at home can be a drastic change.
I thought I would make a list of everything you can do at home to keep yourself busy
- Complete a puzzle
- Watch Netflix
- Go on a massive cleaning spree
- Get your green fingers gardening
- Go round each room and organise the clutter
- Organise your kitchen cupboards
- Go through your wardrobe and make new outfits
- organise your wardrobe
- Declutter your wardrobe
- Read a book - or several
- Write a blog post
- Read blog posts
- Watch YouTube
- Make a YouTube
- Finally do that DIY
- Clear out your garage
- Do some painting
- Reorganise your book shelfs
- Meal prep for dinner
- Batch cook
- Try out new hair styles
- Do a daily workout video on youtube
- Plan a video call with your family and friends
- Drink all the wine in the house...
- Copy makeup looks from Youtube
Obviously you can only do some of these things if you have a puzzle or paint already in the house.
Please leave some more ideas down in the comments for others to read.
When I can finally get my hands on some mince meat and chicken, I am going to batch cook till my heart is content!

Its that time again where I share my favourite tv
shows with you and i have some pretty good ones in my list this time.
C A L L T H E M I D W I F E
A classic
show for me which I have been watching for years. I ended up missing the
seventh series when it was aired on tv so I am so excited that that series is
now on Netflix! I am currently re-watching the sixth series on the website in
preparation since it has been a while, I don't want to forget anything.
I N S I D E NO 9
This is a
recent discovery for me and so far I absolutely love it! I love the concept
that every episode is non related but contains the same actors most of the
time. It stars Steve Pemberton who I have loved ever since first seeing him in
Benidorm. I am now on series 2 and I find them so interesting. My favourite
episode so far was S2E2 with Sheridan Smith, the episode gripped me and
actually made me cry. My second episode I totally recommend is S1E3 which kept
me guessing the whole episode who and what was real.

This is
such a well written, well executed and well produced show, it should be on
every Friday night till the end of time. I started watching this at the
beginning of the year with Callum and we become obsessed really quickly. We
watched all the series' in one go and then got our hearts broken when we were
told the new series was being recorded. We are still waiting for the new series
to air ….
G I R L S I N C A R C E R A T E D
It is no
secret that I love a good documentary especially one recorded in a prison. This
documentary follows young girls in a American correctional facilities and shows
you their struggles inside and outside the facility. The girls started to
really annoy Callum but I watched the series till the end to see how the girls
finished the series.
S E X E D U C A T I O N
What a
brilliant show! There are many questions surrounding this tv shows like why the
hell do they have English accents but an American styled school? But man am I
excited for the next series. Most people have watched this show already but if
you haven't, go download Netflix right now!!

I have loved Stacey way before her stint on Strictly, all the way back in her Blood, Sweat and T-shirts days, so I always watch any new show she brings out. In this doc she spends a weekend at the house of different types or families, from a YouTube family to a house which is child led. I relate to Stacey so much for many different reasons so I love the questions she asks in her interviews.
I N T E R I O R D E S I G N M A S T E R
This show is fantastic and I am not creative at all. watched it while it airs last month and I was pretty sucked in. The show follows interior designers compete to be crowned the master designer and win the prize of designing a hotel in London. My favourite episode so far has been the lodges by the seaside, I really want to go for a weekend break at a lodge in the countryside.
S A N D I T O N
I have always loved a period drama and Sanditon has not disappointed me. Even if I wasn't a fan of period dramas, I would watch it just for Theo James. Imagine him in a gentleman's outfit and a cane... thank me later. I really enjoyed the show which follows a influential family who lives by the sea and tries to make it seaside resort.
A M E R I C A N H O R R O R S T O R I E S
Need I explain this? I have loved this show from the first series and although my interest has dipped along the series, I still watch the new episodes as soon as they are on tv. We are about half way in the new series and so far I seems good. I do miss Evan Peters because he is the king of AHS for me.
F R I E N D S
This show will not get old to me. I had to give it an honourable mention because although it isn't a new find to me, I watched this show every morning while I am getting ready so you can imagine how many times I have started again. I think I am on my 8th straight run of the show and although Callum hates it every time he hears the theme tune, I can't get enough.
What have you been watching?

The dramas shown on ITV
How is it only 9 days away from Christmas? This month has flown by so quickly i don't know what to do with myself. This past month has really took everything out of me, i am always tired and never seen to feel relaxed, so my evening routine has changed up recently. The nights turning dark at 4 oclock has also changed up my routine, is it acceptable to fall sleep at 4 in the afternoon? okay no worries...
After a long day of sitting at my desk at work eating chocolate biscuits and singing along to Christmas tunes i love nothing more an a cosy night at home. I finish work at 5pm which means i can be home and in my pjs by 20 past 5 so my cosy evening begins early. As soon as i step through the door my clothes are coming off and my pjs are coming on.. The house is all set up for Christmas with our tree, animals and fairy lights so i switch them on all over the house to make it even more cosy.
Most weeks i plan our meals ahead of time so i normally know exactly what i'm having by the time i get in. If i am actually putting any effort into dinner i usually spend this time prepping any veg or meat, unless we are having a easy quick meal. I always watch YouTube or Netflix while i cook as i like to have something on in the background. Then we always find a TV show or documentary on Netflix or see what shows we have recorded on sky to watch while we eat, at the minute we are watching the second series of Making A Murderer.
We normally end up eating between 6-7:30 unless we get sidetracked by something on tv. If it is a gym day we then head to the gym for 8 for an hour workout. We joined at the end of October and although i am slow in getting my pace back, i'm enjoying my nights there. I've even bought some proper gym uniform so once i find my rhythm i'll be set!
Once we get back i jump in the bath, light a few candles and put something on my iPad to watch, vlogmas videos are keeping me busy most nights. I still have a few bottles of Molton Brown bubble bath which i like to mix together to make a a really foamy bath which smells amazing.
Once I'm all relaxed and clean, its around half 9-10 oclock and Callum is already in bed with the tv on. as you can tell we are very rock and roll. This is when we normally put on a tv show to fall asleep to or i'll pop the bed side table light on read a few chapters of my book.
So that's my weekly evening routine, not very crazy for a 24 year old but it keeps me from falling asleep at my desk during the day.
What do you do during these dark evenings?
Now that the evenings turn dark super early and it is bitterly cold past 5pm, this is the perfect time to get comfy on the sofa and put on a cosy film. I have so many dvds at my house which just sit there in the background while Netflix gets all our attention. I have to admit that using Netflix is so easy but I do like sticking a old school dvd on for the evening. Here are just a few of the films i regularly watch this time of year.

I know Halloween has come and gone but i still watch Halloween films throughout winter.

I love watching the Christmas 24 channel and finding some really obscure Christmas films you wouldn't normally find on sky movies. I am a sucker for a good romance, royal story line and big happy ending so i am in my element right now.

I am a total Netflix junkie and regularly choose watching something on the app rather than on sky so my Netflix history is quite large. Whenever I watch something really good on it I like to tell everyone to go watch it themselves and I have more films and docs to tell you about today.
Documentaries
The Keepers
I love a good murder mystery doc and I saw the advert for this documentary before it was officially released and couldn't wait to see it. It is based around a group of former pupils from a catholic school in Baltimore who after 40 years are still trying to discover who murders their favourite teacher Sister Cathy Cesnik. It includes reports from police and interviews with former pupils who shed some light on the ins and outs of the school which for 40 years the school and the Archdiocese had tried to hide. I watched the 7 part documentary in one day I was so hooked and at the end I really hopped someone was going to get justice! If you loved Making a Murderer than you will like this.
Reggie Yates Extreme
Another doc I love which follows Reggie Yates as he travels to different countries and looks at sexuality, religion, violence and child modeling among others. He has two volumes of the series and I have watched both because they are really gripping and each of them follow a different concept. My favourite episodes have to be in Russia because it shows how completely different countries can be in the way they act, think and what they believe in.
TV Shows
American Horror Story
I have been obsessed with this series since I first discovered it on Netflix a few years ago. It is so unlike anything else on tv which is way I like it. It can be so disgusting and violent but that is what the show is about. I started with the Murder House series and become hooked from there with the Coven series being my favourite because they are all bad bitches. I watched the latest series about Donald Trump and the election and I still don't know how I feel about it, I felt like it didn't have an ending. But if you like violence, sex, grim behavior then you will love it! Each series is different as well so if you don't enjoy one, there is always something different to try.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
I started watching this series when I was bored living in my parents house when I wanted something to watch and oh my it became my favourite tv show for a very long time. It follows a women who for a number of years was locked in a bunker by a crazy Reverent with three other girls. She has no idea how the world works and then when they are discovered she is thrown into the New York life. I find it hilarious because she is so child like and it has Tituss Burgess in who is an amazing actor and is perfect for the show. It is a really easy watch and so so funny.
Call The Midwife
Netflix got me hooked on Call The Midwife so much that I went out and purchased series 6 on dvd so that I was ready for the current series which is on TV right now. Netflix, why don't you have series 6 that's what I want to know?! Anyway I am totally in love with this series it has made me want to live back in that era because I know I would be Trixie (who should totally still be with Tom, at least in real life they are happy with a new born baby) It deals with a lot of different issues which were common at the time and it is still great to watch as a pick me up.
Films
Before I Fall
This is a really beautiful film about a girl who is involved in a car accident which makes her repeat that single day over and over again until she makes a change which is going to stop the accident happening, easier said then done. During the film she learns a lot about herself, her friends and the people around her which coupled with the fact shes in a car accident made me cry like a baby. I love films where something happens to a character which makes them have out of body experiences.
Autumn Dreams
This film is about a couple who elope in their teens but are separated by the girls father because of their age, they don't see each other for a good few years until they discover their marriage was never annulled at the time. They are both also engaged to other people when they find out so they obviously want to sort it quick but it involves spending time with each other which you can guess what happens. Love love love this film Colin Egglesfield is a fittie as well which makes watching it even more enjoyable!
The Choice
This is a typical american romantic film about a bad boy who films for the sweet girl next door but their are other people involved and there is a cute dog running around. Then when you think finally everyone is happy something happens and I really didn't see it coming. I was a mess after watching this film so I will warn you get tissues and a cuddly toy to hold because you will be crying. The film is worth the cry though and if you love a boy with a southern accent then you need to hear Benjamin Walker's southern accent...
A Christmas Prince
Lastly to remind us of happier times over Christmas I watched A Christmas Prince which is so good. I love sappy hallmark films and this is a typical one about a reporter who wants to get a story on the rebellious young prince and ends up with a job in the royal house by mistake and falls for the dashing prince. I blame these kind of films for my need to marry a prince which is obviously never going to happy since both Hazza and Wills are loved up.
Do you have any recommendations for Netflix?
I have a big list of shows and films I want to watch but I have room for me!
Previous Netflix Posts
After a long day at work nothing makes me feel more relaxed or refreshed like a good old pamper evening, usually by myself because I am a introvert and like to spend quality time with myself. I've needed multiply pamper evenings over the last few weeks because it hasn't been the easiest start to the year but they are never disappointing.
Like I have just said I like to be alone when I have a pamper evening/day/weekend depending on how much I need to relax and I live with my partner so I normally see Cal for an hour or so chit chatting while we are making dinner and then I leave him to it to go and begin my routine.
The first thing I do to relax is run a boiling hot bubble bath and shove loads of different products into it. Depending on whether I need to wash my hair while I am in the bath I either opt for a Lush Bath bomb or one of my Molton Brown Bubble baths, both my all time favourites. If I don't need to wash my hair I chuck a multicolored bath bomb in the bath and just watching the colours change relaxes me. If I do need to wash my hair I pour in one of two Molton Brown Bubble Baths which are Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold or Vintage With Elderflower which both leave the water sparkling and smelling gorgeous. I received so many bottles of Molton Brown for Christmas that I am slowly working my way through them all but these two bubbles baths are the stand out heroes so far. I also received loads of Lush but that is coming in another post!
Once my bath is ready I like to rest my ipad in the wooden holder I got for Christmas from my sister (mega sister points for that gift!), light all the candles in my bathroom, make a glass of wine or in this case fresh orange juice and watch a good film or a couple of episodes of a series on Netflix. I am currently obsessed with Friends because I am a basic 90s girl so you can usually find me glued to the screen because I love it so much. I've written a few posts about what I watch on Netflix so go on over and have a gander for something to watch! I am planning to posting a new one soon since so much has been added to Netflix recently and I have watched so many good things. ( 6 Netflix Docs You Need To Watch and Top Picks On Netflix)
Once my episode has finished or I have started to go wrinkly I get out of the bath and smoother my skin in the Lush Sleepy Body Lotion and the name of this lotion is perfect because the smell of this product makes me want to go sleep. If I have a late bath and then cover my skin in the Sleepy Lotion that is my night over, as soon as my body touches my bed I'm gone. Its great to use if I really need an early night. I also have started using a hand cream every night before I go bed even though it doesn't happen every night but I am trying. I currently have the Lush Love and Light hand cream tub beside my bed to remind me. I am finding this winter when I do remember my skin is so thankful for it later on!
Now once I have bathed and cover my whole body in the good stuff I reach for a new pair of cute pj's to put on and complete the' born again' feeling. Having a bath and then putting on dirty pj's is like bathing in dirty water, not worth it! I normally reach for my coziest pair of clean pj's and give myself a pat on the back for keeping up on the dirty bin!
Depending on what kind of day it has been and how much energy I have I like to do a face mask if I feel like my face needs one. I have fallen a little out of love with face masks recently so I only have one which I reach for when I really need a pick me up. That is the Origin Original Skin Re Texturizing Mask with Rose Clay, one that is mentioned regularly on the blog. I like this mask because it is easy to use, doesn't make a mess and the results are easy to see straight away. Luckily my skin hasn't needed this mask much recently so I am hoping my skin have found a right balance for now.
Once my skin has been taken care of I go and see Cal for a little cuddle and then it is bed and book time for me to relax my mind. When I have a lot of things going on in my mind or I have been running around a lot for work I really need some reading time. I am a huge book worm and am currently reading Origin by Dan Brown who is one of my favourite authors. I love reading about religion, science and murder and so far this book isn't disappointing. I have all of Dan Browns previous books and I like to read them because they imaginative and they take me away from my life and what is happening around me. Usually after an hour or two of reading i am whipped out and ready for bed and I usually sleep like a baby after one of these evenings.
I hope you have enjoyed learning about my current pamper nights. Writing this has made me really one a pamper night tonight and Sundays are the perfect night for these!

I love a good documentary, its my favourite thing to watch at the minue and Netflix is my go to place find a new documentary film to watch. Since getting Netflix last year I have watched most of the documentaries they have and out of all of them, these are my favourite ones.
M A K I N G A M U R D E R E R
I watched this series before it become the biggest documentary ever and I can tell you that it is definitely worth a watch. The series became mine and Cals obsession and we got so into it that we regularly google Steven Avery and Brandon Dassey to see if they have been released yet. We are both strong believers in Brandon being completely innocent so watching the show was really frustrated. On the other hand with Steven we aren't completely sure but the show really does make you question everything. It is so good I really recommend it!
B L A C K F I S H
This is the latest documentary I have watched and I know I am late to the party but forgive me. I have never been to Sea World or anything of the same kind and I am so glad that I haven't now after watching this film. What is good about the making of this film is it is about a killer whale who has killed a number of people but the whole time I just felt sorry for Tilikum. It totally pulls on your heart because you feel horrible for the people who have died and their poor families, but you also feel bad because you know Tilikum is doing this because he confined in a pool rather than being with his family in the ocean. If you are a animal lover you will love this but be prepared to have your heart broken.
C A T F I S H
Another fish but of a different kind, Catfish follows Nev as he tracks down the girl who he has fallen in love with online. I love watching Catfish the TV series so I had to watch the film that started it all. It really opens your eyes to what happens when you enter the online world and how emotional involved people can become with someone they haven't even met before. I don't think I could ever be as trusting as Nev is to plan a life with someone from the internet. The fact this film has made Nev famous within his own right is great and if you love the TV show, I recommend watching the film to see a baby faced Nev.
L O U I S T H E R O U X
Cal and I love watching Louis' documentaries and he has so many on Netflix you would be sorted for a weekend binge sess no problem. You wouldn't expect Louis to be a good journalist and documentary maker as he is pretty awkward and shy but that is what makes the documentaries so good. I love it when he asks awkward questions other people might not ask. A few of our favourite episodes are The Most hated Family in America, Miami Mega-Jail and Behind Bars. I love watching prison documentaries and Louis' episodes on prisons are really good.
A M A N D A K N O X
This documentary is one that I am still not sure on what I think about it all. When the murder happened in 2007 I didn't become too involved in the trial and when the news said she was guilty I didn't question it. Fast forward to last year when I watched the documentary and I am in total limbo on how I feel. For those of you who don't know, Amanda and her boyfriend were jailed for the killing of the girl Amanda shared a house with, they were acquitted of the murder in 2015 and the film follows her after she is released and shows footage of the trail. The evidence the court raises and the interviews she gives afterward have totally through me on my verdict. If you have watched it/ go on to watch it please tell me your opinion!
A I L E E N
Aileen Wuornos: The selling of a Serial Killer and Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer are two documentaries on Netflix about a women called Aileen Wuornos who is known as the first major female serial killer. After watching interviews with Aileen I seriously think she was disturbed and needed psychiatric help more than anything but that didn't happen for her. The documentaries follow her trail and what happened after the trail leading up to her execution. A good watch if you are into documentaries about female killers.
Hopefully Netflix will add some more documentaries to to app to watch as prison and murder films have become an obsession of mine. I recently watched 60 Days In Jail and Women Who Kill which are both currently on 4OD and seriously worth a watch, especially 60 Days in Jail.
If you have any new documentaries you think I might like comment them below!
