Who loves autumn clothing? Yes me too!
I have a few items which I have been wearing non stop this autumn and I thought I would share with you these items in case you are missing them in your wardrobe. I will try and list all the items for you but for any which are too old to link, I will similar items for you!
Petite Longline Camel Coat
I recently picked up this coat in October/November when Newlook were having a sale on their petite range and I picked up the Camel and Black version to add to my jacket collection for autumn winter and I have worn both non stop since they arrived. The camel version has to be my favourite of the two because the colour is super flattering and my go to outfit at the minute is some black trousers with a black roll neck and the camel coat on top. Simple but classic!
Black High Waisted Leather Look Leggings
I can't tell you how many times I have worn this leggings in the last few months, I have even started wearing them to work because they are so comfy and easy to style with anything. I love to pair them with a long black jumper and the camel Newlook coat on top and I look really styled but with minimal effort required. It is now a running joke with my family whenever I wear them now one of them will say 'she's in them leggings again...'
Every H&M shirt I own
Sorry I could not pick just one of the H&M shirts for this list because I love all them equally. They look amazing and hang really well of your body and even after a number of wears and washes, they still look brand new. At the minute while the weather has dropped I am putting a big baggy jumper over these shirts so that the collar is poking out and I love the preppy look of it.
Black Studded Velvet Leggings (similar)
I picked up these velvet studded leggings last year in M&S and I absolutely love them! In all honesty their quality is shocking and half of the studs have fallen off but I actually like the look of the random stud now. Most of the studs have fallen off over my bottom and on the inside of my legs so it actually looks like this is meant to be the design. Aside from the flaw in design, I love how comfy the leggings are and they can make a plain outfit so much more interesting than if I was wearing just some black skinny jeans. They are also really insulated for the colder months which is a bonus.
Grey Fine Jumper
I have an array of jumpers in my wardrobe and everyone gets a lot of love but I have to say one H&m grey jumper does get a little bit more daylight then the rest. I picked this up in summer actually when H&M were clearing their autumn stock from the previous year. I had the best day because I walked into the store and the place was covered with knitwear on every rail, all new stock for the current season, and then I walked to the back of the store and there was 5 rails of sale jumpers! I think I picked 3 or 4 jumpers up for £25 and then I got a discount for being a member so it was the best day! Anyway back to the post, If I am ever in doubt of what to wear one day, I slip this jumper on with any bottom and I am good to go. I have never been much of fan of the colour grey but actually it is the most popular colour in my knitwear collection so it must actually be a favourite!

I have spoken before about how much I love a striped back skincare routine and through January I have had three firm favourites that have helped over haul my skin. Firstly I have been trying out properly the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm which I picked up back in November . I have spoke before about how I didn't like it at first as I felt you had to break the first layer of product to really be able to pick up any balm, well I have well and truly broke the seal now and I love this cleanser. I use it in the mornings to wash my face, in the evening to take my makeup off and all over my face except for my eyes. It does say you can use this product on the eyes but having sensitive eyes myself, I find it makes the area quite dry. The cleanser breaks down makeup really easily and leaves my skin feeling super clean. The product is really smooth and nourishing on the skin so my face never feels striped after using it which I can find with some balms. I got into using this product daily at the start of January and I have used it every day since and love it.
After Christmas my skin didn't want to co-operate at all and I had mountain after mountain appear on my chin so I decided to try something new. The L'oreal Pure Clay Masks have been floating around everywhere recently and having a real obsession with masks I wanted to try one of them. I opted for the Charcoal Detox Mask to really clear my skin of all the gunk that had been clogging it. Since purchasing it about 2 weeks ago I have used this mask twice a week and since then, my chin has completely turn around. The spots on my chin were big puss spots which I would pop and then they would reappear. The worst thing about them was that no amount of makeup would cover them which I hated. Since using this mask the spots have become less angry, less puss fill and are slowly going away so it has saved my skin this month.
Lastly I mentioned in my January Favourites post that I don't change up my moisturisers very much but since the start of January I have fell in love with a new moisturiser which I have now sadly ran out of. It is the Lush Gorgeous Moisturiser which I had a little tester pot for from Christmas. Since trying it at the beginning of January I have used it nearly every day since because it is the perfect moisturiser to wear underneath foundation. You don't need a lot of product for it to do its job, it leaves your skin tacky at first so doubles as a primer for your foundation and if you leave it to sink into the skin, it leaves it feeling really smooth and soft. If I wasn't on a spending ban I would go and repurchase it straight away but sadly since I am, I will have to make my way through my remaining pots first before I can justify buying any more.
Do you have any products you have tried in January you would recommend?

It feels crazy to be writing my January Favourites already when it feels like just yesterday I was writing my yearly favourites for 2016. It is scary how fast the first month of this year has gone by but it excites me so much because that means I can move into my new home sooner! Oh yeah I haven't told you that I have been accepted for a mortgage with Cal for our first home! I am beyond excited but anyway on with favourites.
A friend of mine gave me a sample of the Mac's Prep and Prime Skin Base to try this month and I haven't used anything else since trying it. This has become my favourite ever skin primer and it makes me quite sad that my new favourite product is a £23 primer but it is worth it. It leaves my skin super smooth, super healthy and glistening with sparkles which you might think isn't what you want on a day to day basis but it works. It works more like a moisturiser than a primer which is why it works so good everyday.
It is very hard for me to change up my skincare routine as I am a creature of habit but the Lush Gergous Moisturiser has stolen my heart. This again is a little pot Callum got me for Christmas to try out and it become part of my daily routine. A little goes a long way with this moisturiser so even though it is a tiny pot it has lastly me longer than I would have imagined. It leaves my skin quite tacky which makes it great for wearing under makeup to help it last all day, this moisturiser plus the Mac primer is the perfect combo underneath makeup.
A base product that I have been wearing none stop during January is the Bourjois City Radiance Foundation in Vanilla. At first I wasn't a fan of this foundation but it wasn't until I sprayed my beauty sponge with Newlook Fix Makeup Setting Spray that I really started liking the finish of this foundation. This foundation gives me a lovely healthy glow when I wear it which I have fell in love with, I usually go for matte foundation for everyday but this has changed my opinion of dewy/healthy formulas. It also lasts all day on my skin while I'm at work so its duration is amazing. I also can't use my beauty blender without spraying it with Newlook's Fix Spray as it gives the best finish with all my favourite foundations.
I have been loving the Revolution Ultra Bronzer this month which has been in my stash for years now but I only fell in love with it recently. First of all the pan is huge, this product is going to last me for even more years. Secondly this shade which annoyingly has no name looks good on any skin tone. I can be tanned or as white as a ghost and the colour still suits me.
I've mentioned the Pippa Palette by Blank Canvas Cosmetics before in a post about it here and it is in my favourites for the month too because I have been wearing it non stop. The palette has everything you need in it including a bronzer, blush, highlight and eye shadows. If you want to know more about it then read my post about it here.
My last make up favourites are the Newlook Matte Velvet Lipstick in the shades Toffee Apple and Heather. I have spoken about these before in my Newlook Makeup Haul post and I still love two months later. They don't dry out my lips at all and the colour lasts all day if I don't eat but if I do, they re-apply non patchy and no crust in sight.
I have three random favourites for the month too and the first are my two new harry potter books that I got for Christmas. I read Fantastic Beast and Where To Find Them first and absolutely loved it, I loved the story, the cover, the characters and surprisingly I loved reading it as a screenplay. Couldn't recommend this book enough. I then read Harry Potter and The Cursed Child and I didn't enjoy it as much as the first seven Harry Potter books to be completely honest. Don't hate me hardcore HP fans but I am just a lover of the old school books.
Lastly I have been obsessed with Gossip Girl since Christmas and am currently starting series three. I used to watch it while I was at school but I can't remember half the stuff that actually happened. I know who Gossip Girl is but I'm enjoying going through it all again.

Trying to pick just 10 beauty products that I have loved during last year is always hard because I go in between different products all the time so narrowing them down is hard. I have narrowed it down to 10 picks which I have been head over heels with during the year.
Origins GinZing Moisturiser
I have spoken about this moisturiser many times before and it is a favourite of mine for many reason. I prefer using this moisturiser underneath my makeup rather than any of my other moisturisers as it sinks into my skin so easily I don't feel like I have anything on my skin. It leaves my skin really soft and smooth so applying foundation afterwards is so easy.
L'oreal True Match Foundation
I tried three new foundations in 2016 and this is one of them. I knew this was a blogger favourite so I finally purchased a bottle to try myself and I am so glad that I did. It gives my skin the most amazing finish and gives my skin a boost of life. It covers all my imperfections and lasts all day on my face so its gets a big thumbs up from me. This is the foundation I apply when I am going out for a night out and I want my skin to look a-m-a-zing.
L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation
This is the second new foundation I tried in 2016 and again I loved it after trying it. It is such a easy product to wear, I would feel completely confidence applying this foundation in the dark. It gives a really good coverage which can be built up for a evening look and gives my skin a a flawless finish. I never have to worry about my red cheeks peeking through as this foundation lasts all day and doesn't look cakey after a few hours wear.
Revlon Colourstay Foundation
The last foundation I'm going to talk about today is this little beauty. Just like the L'Oreal foundation, I would feel confident applying this foundation in the dark because it always turns out looking great. This is my everyday foundation which I can apply in a rush and know I don't have to worry about my makeup before I leave because it blends into the skin so easily it doesn't look like I am wearing foundation.
Maybelline Mastersculpt Highlight and Contour
I really don't mix up my contour products very much so this contour and highlight duo from Maybelline have been in my makeup bag all year. It is the perfect contour shade for me and is my favourite product for contouring in my whole collection. I do use the contour shade more then the highlighter shade but you can never have enough highlighters in your collection.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams
NYX cosmetics have exploded this year and I totally understand why after trying a few of their products. I came a bit late to the party which isn't really a surprise with me anymore but I am so glad that I finally gave into the hype. I currently have three Soft Matte Lip Creams in the shades Abu Dhai, Cannes and San Paulo and I love them all so far. The pigmentation of the lip creams are so good and because the product is so creamy they look amazing on the lips even if you have quite dry lips like me. If you have read my Liquid Lipstick Collection post then you will know that I have purchased these products from NYX, Collection and Bodyshop and I reach for my NYX products why more than the other brands.
Clinique Colour Pop Lipsticks
It will be no shock that I have included these lipsticks in my yearly favourites as I have spoke about these in so many posts this year. The formula of these lipsticks is one of my favourite in my whole collection, the lipsticks are so creamy and moisturising but the pigmentation packs such a good punch which you don't always get with moisturising lip products. The Red and Nude shade have been my go to products for most of the year, I hardly wear the pink shade as I am not very much of a pink girl but I can bear to separate the three.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo // On and On Bronze
Cream Eye Shadows have been one of the main makeup trends of 2016 and I took full advantage of all the new releases snagging some amazing products through the year and my all time favourite cream eye shadow out of them all is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze. I've spoke about this product in many posts and so many bloggers love this shade as well so I agree with them all in saying it is amazing. When I want a really simple easy makeup look but I still want to look like I have put in some effort, I reach for On and On Bronze. It is a gorgeous golden bronze shade which is perfect to wear by itself with a nude lip or underneath a powder glitter shade to really pack a punch. I love this product during Christmas time, especially if I finish work at 6 and need to be ready for a Christmas party at half past!
Revolution Salvation Palette // What You Waiting For?
Picking my favourite palette from the whole year was really difficult, really really difficult. I have narrowed it down to one palette that through the year I have pulled out and shown some real love to. The shades in this Salvation palette are absolutely beautiful and you can mix and match with all the shades in the palette to create some lovely looks. My favourite combo is to use Hot Track all over the lid and then place Moving Car over the top and it gives my eyes a beautiful bronze-y shimmer feel. I really need to start using the other shimmer shades more but every time I go to use it, I see Moving Car and immediately wack it on my eye lip because I love it so much.
What were some of your favourite makeup products from the year?

Yearly
I am so happy that it is November finally, I feel like I have been waiting for this month since January. This year I won't be prepared for Christmas presents but I already have a bunch of festive posts lined up so I am happy about that. My proprieties ladies and no gentlemen.
Anyway I have a few products I have been loving this past month and I am going to start off with the prettiest of them all. I bought these brushes in September after reading Makeup Savvy's blog post about them and I am so glad that I did. They are from eBay and they are only £4.99 for 7 brushes! They are an absolute bargain. I love the gold design of them and they are the perfect size for sticking in your makeup bag on the go. The brush hair is super soft and gentle which is the main reason I love them so much, I have a huge pot of eye makeup brushes from loads of different shops and brands but these brushes are now my favourite for creating eye looks. They are the perfect size for blending out eye shadows and most importantly blend them out beautiful so you don't have any harsh lines and the eye shadows don't go all the way up to your eye brow. You also get a foundation brush and two face brushes that I like to use for bronzing and contouring (which is why they are a little dirty)
An old favourite that I have pulled back out of my draw is the Dior Pore Minimzer primer. It is very expensive but for a good reason as it is a great product that keeps my makeup in place all day and makes my skin feel like a babies bottom. The tub has lastly me a few years as well even with me using it more and more over the last few months.
Two products that I purchased only two weeks ago but have fallen in love with are the L'Oreal True Match Liquid Glow Illuminator and the Tanya Burr Face Illuminator. These are both golden illuminators which I tend to wear underneath my foundation on top of cheek bones. These give my skin a really lovely glow from within look and gives my skin some dimension before I have even contoured or bronzed. You only need a small amount of product on your face so these tube will definitely last me a long time, these will definitely come in handy during next summer.
A new mascara that I have been loving the past month is the Revlon Volume and Length Magnified mascara which is my new favourite mascara ever. The wand is big and fluffy so it is perfect for getting big fluttery lashes and perfect for my straight lifeless mascara.
Lastly a lipstick that I have been reaching for the most this past month is the Newlook lipstick in 24 Mid Brown which is the perfect dark nudey brown. The lipstick is really creamy and glides onto the lips really smoothly. It lasts me usually till about lunch time and then after I have eaten I reapply it and I am good to go.

I haven't wrote a mascara round up post on my blog since 2014 when I named my Top 5 Mascaras of the time, so I think its about time I show you my flutter makers.
My all time favourite mascara at the moment is the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara which gives my lashes the best effect. The mascara is brown which makes my lashes look natural and subtle, like I have eye lash extensions which I love. The applicator is quite large which means it picks up more hairs and adds more volume to the lashes as it adds partials to the lashes to give extra volume. Even though this mascara adds extra bits to your lashes to add volume, it never leaves my lashes clump thank god and I have had this mascara for a long while now (probably too long to be honest) and it is still hasn't dried out or gone lumpy.
Another favourite mascara of mine is the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara in waterproof which first of all is waterproof so that is a big tick for me. The applicator is great at really grabbing the lashes to open them up my eye area but you do have to be careful you don't pull too hard otherwise it can cause your eyes to cry because you've pinched yourself... Good thing its waterproof! Other than that I love this mascara as it is rounded at the sides so it is easy to get the little lashes at the corners of your eyes which can sometimes be missed.
My last favourite mascara of the moment is the Sleek Lethal Length mascara which is basically two mascaras in one. One side of the wand is short and spaced out to open up your lashes first of all, the other side of the wand is longer and the bristles are thinner to make your lashes longer and fuller and give you loads of volume. I love using this mascara on a day to day life basis as it gives me natural fuller lashes and doesn't clump at all.
On a day to day basis I usually dabbles between these three mascaras as I know they all work first time. I have really got back into mascara recently thanks to a new eye lash curler which I think is a must when applying mascara.
To contour my face I have been dabbing between my Revolution Sculpt and Contour Kit and my Maybelline Master Sculpt in 01 light. These both give a subtle contour on the face and aren't too pigmented when you use a light hand so you don't have to worry about looking too 'drag queen'. Both include a lovely highlighter which is handy to carry around with you when you need a little pick me up during the day.
On my eyes I have been loving the look of the Mac Paint Pot in Blackground as a eyeliner, it gives a subtle line which I can blend out or add more to to make it more prominent. I find this lasts a lot longer than kohl eyeliners on me which is a big bonus.
On my nails I have been loving this Coconut Infusion Barry M nail polish in the shade 612 Flamingo. This is a perfect summer shade on the nails to brighten up any outfit and it lasts a good few days on me considering how long most nail vanishes last.
Lastly through June I have been loving my Polaroid camera which I got for my birthday this year, it is so handy to have to capture special moments and keep them forever. I love the look of the print outs and they look great stuck to the wall. I also got my Harry Potter notebook for my birthday and I love the official school look of the book. It makes me feel like I have actually been to the school so I feel important when I use it, you may call me sad... I use this as my blogging book and its full of so many post ideas!

The one drugstore brand who I think know their foundations really well are Rimmel, they dominate my foundation collection by more than half and every formula they come out with suits my skin so well. Rimmel is one of the first brands I started using when I dove into makeup in my teens and I still love the same products now.
My all time favourite foundation and the first one I ever tried out is the Rimmel Wake Me Up. This foundation gives me perfect glowy skin and a little subtle shimmer to my skin. It has a medium coverage so it covers most blemishes and it doesn't cake on my face no matter how much product I put on. yay! The shimmer to the foundation isn't to everyone's taste but I love the glow it gives me and that's why this foundation is a staple in my summer makeup bag. Plus for a smaller size bottle the product lasts for ages!
I have this product in 100 Ivory and 200 Soft Beige
Another formula I love from Rimmel is their Match Perfection foundation which was my holy grail foundation for about 2 years. This is my bog standard good skin in a bottle foundation, no matter what my skin is playing at at the time this foundation comes to the rescue every time. It again is a medium coverage which is build-able depending on how your skin is behaving and how much product you want to use. I specially like to use this formula when my skin is particularly red and patchy as you can never till once I have this foundation on. This foundation is my go to holiday/tanned shade.
I have this product in 201 Classic Beige
My last formulation I am going to talk about is the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hr foundation. I have this foundation in both the Nude and the Comfort Serum, to be completely honest I can't tell the difference between them but I love them both. This is the foundation which is 9/10 times in my handbag with me in case I need a touch up or I am on the move somewhere. Like the match perfection formula this foundation gives me good skin when my skin isn't particularity behaving and can be built up to give more than the medium coverage that it gives with one layer.
I have this product in 103 True Ivory and 200 Soft Beige.
One thing I love about Rimmel Foundations is the price, you can't go wrong with a good foundation for £7.99. It doesn't matter what brand I try for a new base - and I am trying to branch out a little bit- I always find my way back to Rimmel as I know their products work for my skin. All three formulas blend really easily into the skin so that it doesn't look like you have a layer of slap on and they last all day.

Which formula is your favourite?
This is a half what's in my makeup bag / half April favourites post mashed into one so you are welcome! A few products have been creeping their way into my makeup routine and setting up shop there for weeks now so I think it is time to let them have their day (I think that's how the saying goes...). Here are some of my current favourites which are permanently in my makeup bag.
- Baby Lips in Hydrate
- Mini Benefit Porefessional Primer
- Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hr foundation in 103 True Ivory
- Miss Sporty Concealer in 001 Light (for under eyes)
- Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in Cool medium (for blemishes)
- Smashbox Brow Tech Matte Pencil in Brunette
- Bodyshop Honey Bronzer in 01
- Pure Colour Baked Highlighter in 93 Gold
- Maybeline Colour Tattoo in 35 On and On Bronze
- L'oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara
- Colour Couture Pro Eye Pencil in Brown
- Newlook Pure Color Lip Liner in 72
- Mac Cremesheen Glass in Delight
Some of these are old classics while others are brand new editions to my collection and at the minute, this mixture is what is making up my face. I am trying to use up some of my old products that have been forgotten about now so this might changes completely or not change at all. Lets see in the next few weeks!

Whats in my makeup bag
It is crazy to think that it is the end of January already and I have a few great products to talk to you about today.
Starting with skincare, I have been using the Lush Eau Roma Water Toner no stop since I purchased it this month. I was having a few skin problems at the time when I purchased this and I hoped it would fix my face with its magic and I'm happy to report it actually has. I spray two pumps of this toner onto my hands and then smooth it all over my face. It leaves my skin super soft, moisturised and feeling clean.
Another product I have been using non stop since I purchased it is the Newlook | Pure Contour Palette in the shade Brown Pattern. I saw this palette open on the counter in Newlook and knew the light contour shade would be perfect for me and it was! It is my perfect shade to contour with and has brought the fun back into powder contour. Everyone is commenting on my contour game recently and most people are shocked to know the product in question is by Newlook.
On them days when I'm being really lazy and want a more casual look, I use my trusty Revolution Contour Stick. This is my favourite cream contour shade ever! I have quite a few cream contour sticks in my collection but I always reach for my Revolution stick over all the rest recently!
My next favourite is a new lipstick of mine by the Bodyshop which I have reached for most days since Christmas. This was one of my Christmas presents from my sister and it is a perfect shade for me. I have never owned a Bodyshop lipstick before now and since trying this product, I want to expand my collection. The formulation is so creamy and moisturising on my lips, they leave my lips healthy even when they are having a dry day.
Lastly I have a product which has become a staple in my makeup bag this month. The Lethal Length Mascara by Sleek is great for big individual leashes. This is the only mascara I have been using on a day to day basis this month and if I do go out anywhere fancy or want to make more of an effort, I can up my mascara game but going over my lashes again with the mascara to add even more volume.
Skincare has to be without a doubt my favourite subject to talk about. Although I don't experiment with skincare as much I do with make up, I have been trying out new things and growing my collection this year.
My favourite moisturiser of all time has to be the Clinique Dramatically Different Cream. I started a love affair with Clinique Moisturisers at the beginning of this year when I bought the 3 step starter kit from feel unique. Since then I have not used any other face moisturiser as nothing makes my face feel as amazing as this moisturising. This love affair has made me drag Cal around all the beauty shops in Barcelona to find my favourite formulation... you know its love then!
My favourite eye cream is the Lush Enchanted Eye Cream. This became a firm favourite of mine right from the start as it is so thin it sinks into the skin within minutes so it is a perfect product to use before applying makeup. It really brightens the eye area and makes me look like I have had a better sleep then I actually have. This makes it a perfect product for uneasy sleepers like me.
My favourite facial wash is the Clinique Liquid Facial Shop in Mild. Facial wash is something that I like to change up regularly as I tend to get bored of washes quickly, the clinque wash is a product I always end up going back to after I have tried something new out. It makes my face look and feel much cleaner and all round in better shape.
My favourite face scrub is the A-M-A-ZING Dr Organic Rose Otto Face Scrub. Oh my this scrub is the best face scrub I have ever used! You feel so clean and refreshed after using it and the amount of rubbish it scrubs off the your is amazing. It can leave you skin red sometimes but it doesn't last long and it means it worked.
My favourite face mask of the year is the Lush Mask of Magnanimity. I have spoke about this mask loads of times on the blog and I wrote a whole blog post on my Lush collection which includes it here. It is the perfect mask to use in the morning to wash up your skin and yourself.
I lastly have two favourite cleansers to end the post with. The first cleanser is the Lush Ultrabland Cleanser which is my holy grail when it comes to removing my make up. It melts away everything on my face so all I need to do is wipe my face with a flannel and I am done. The second cleanser is the Lush Dark Angels cleanser which I love to use to cleanse my skin of dirt and to deep clean it.

2015 has been my year to experiment with makeup and I have enjoyed every moment of it. I have quite a few favoruites that I go back in between so narrowing it down to one was quite difficult. I have cheated once and picked two products.
My Favourite Primer of all time is the Revolution Ultra Face Base Primer. It is the best budget primer I have used yet and it leaves my skin so super soft I feel like a new born baby! -Yes it is that soft!
My favourite foundation of the year is the L'oreal Infallible 24 hour Matte foundation, I can never go wrong with this foundation. It covers all my redness on my cheeks but never looks cakey on the face. It is very light weight but still has great coverage.
My favourite concealer is the standard Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. I have spoke about this concealer numerous times and it has never left my make up bag, it covers anything and lasts all day.
I have two bronzers on this list that I couldn't pick between because they do two very different things. The Benefit Hoola Bronzer is a all round perfect summer product that suits my skin tone really well and gives me a great summer glow. My other product is the Clinque Chubby Sculpting Stick which I love to use on comfy or no make up days to give my face some definition. It is also a great contour product for nights out.
My favourite blush product from the year has to be The W7 Honey Queen Homecomb Blush. I am not the biggest blush fan but when I do wear a little I like to wear this mix of blush colours together on the apples of my cheeks. It is more of a darker blush so it doesn't look too much on my face.
I have become a much bigger fan of highlighter this year and I have quite a few that I go in between which are both powder and cream. The highlighter that I have been reaching for the most these past few weeks is the Newlook Baked Highlighter in 93 Gold. This is the perfect cross between a bronzey glow look which I have been opting for quite a lot lately.
My favourite eyebrow product has to be the MUA Power Brow Highlight and Shape. It is so easy to use and you can't go wrong with it. The brow nib is the perfect shade for my hair and the highlighter is a great add on to define your brows.
My favourite eye palette has to be the first palette I bought this year, the Revolution Redemption Essentials Matte 2 Palette. This year has been my year to discover the wonders of eye shadows, before this year I had never touched a eye shadow and now I buy a new one every month (much to Cal's dismay). The Revolution palette is my favorite because it has everything you need to do a simple day look or a ramped up night look. I particularly like to use this palette for smokey eye looks.
I haven't worn much eyeliner this year as I prefer the look of mascara by itself as it looks softer and more wearable, but on them days or nights were I have wanted to go a bit more bolder I have used the Lord + Berry Kohl liner. It is really easy to use and great to smudge out to create a bolder effect.
My favourite mascara of the year is the L'oreal Volume Million Lashes, my mascara collection has grown considerable this year but when I want to use something I know for sure will work, I pick this mascara. It is really good at separating lashes and opening out your eyes.
I found it really hard to choose a favourite lip product but in the end my love of Newlook nude lips trumped all my other lipsticks. My all time favourite nude lipstick of the brand is the Camel shade. I wrote a whole blog post all about the lipstick which you can read here.
You can read my post from last year here. Comment below with links to your end of year favourite posts, I love reading them for future reference when i'm next make up shopping!

It is finally November!
I have already decorated my room in Christmas decorations and got half my Christmas presents. I am so prepared this year! I have been loving quite a few make up products this month and for once, I have a hefty list of favourites to go through. Yassss
I have already decorated my room in Christmas decorations and got half my Christmas presents. I am so prepared this year! I have been loving quite a few make up products this month and for once, I have a hefty list of favourites to go through. Yassss
My first favourite is the Revolution Makeup Redemption Essential Mattes 2 Palette. For the first time in 21 years I am wearing eye shadow and it feels so good. I have always hid away from eye shadows because I didn't know how to apply them properly and I had always thought my eye area was too small to do anything fancy. That was until my sister convinced me to purchase this palette that she swore by. It has a mixture of soft nudes and dark browns and taupes to choose from and they are all matte. I have already used this palette for my Halloween make up and on a daily basis and I love it so far. Watch this space for more eye shadows to make an appearance!
Something that I have owned for a long while and not used before is this Real Techniques eye shadow brush which worked amazing when I done some smokey eyes for my Halloween look. The brush fibres are super soft and make blending the easiest thing to do. The size and shape of the brush is also great at fitting into my super small eye lids. It is definitely a brush that I would keep in my make up bag for everyday.
Sticking with the eye theme, my next favourite is the W7 Absolute Lashes which is widely known as the Benefit They're Real dupe. I have wrote a post on the mascara already comparing the two mascaras. Roll on two months and I am still obsessed with the product. After curling my eye lashes this mascara is perfect at making my lashes look super long and spread out. I find it lasts all day and the most important thing is... it is easy to take off at the end of the night with micellar water. That is the dream! It is a bargain at £3.99!
My fourth favourite is the MUA Power Brow Shape and Highlight pencil in dark brown. It is the perfect colour for my eye brow hair and has a nifty little highlighter on the opposite end. I have never been a big fan of brow pencils before now, I have always opted for powders but now I am converted. I love doing my eye brows everyday now!
My last two makeup favoruites are things that I have been using together and they work so well together. The bronzer I have spoke about so many times before and I am still using it everyday over all my other bronzer. It is the famous Benefit Hoola Bronzer which everyone and their mother loves. I have been using this W7 angled contour brush to apply it and it is the best contour brush I have ever used. The fibers are super soft and the shape of the brush makes contouring sooooo much easier, it is the perfect brush for beginners. Plus at just £5 it is a bargain too!
My last favourite is a bit random but none the less I have been crazy for them all October. They are my Newlook Joggers, really really random I know but they are so super comfy and fit perfectly even though I am half the size of a normal human. I have a grey and a black pair and I have wore them to death this month. As soon as I get home I put them on, on my days off I wear them at home, I even wear them to bed when its really cold. It must be love!
Let me know what you have been loving this month! I need some new things to try :)

My monthly favorites started out as a huge list of products when I first started blogging and now I find it hard to think of 5 things that I am in love with during the month. So that is why I now have a series called 'Three things that I have been loving in...'
This month I purchased the Lush Enchanted eye cream to try out the product that a lot of bloggers and YouTubers were raving about. I have reached for it so much this month because it hydrates my eyes so well and give them a bit of boost when I am sleep deprived, which is pretty often since I spend most nights reading books till 12.
I didn't like the Benefit Hoola bronzer when I first purchased it as I thought it didn't suit my skin tone and was un-natural. Fast forward a few months (quite a few actually) And I am in love with it. I don't feel like I have more of a tan on my face but I find the bronzer is must more flattering on my face lately. I understand the hype about it.
When I buy an entire album on iTunes after only hearing a few songs on it, I must really like the band and Years and Years are fast becoming one of my favourites at the moment. I loved King when it first came out and I love Shine even more. After buying the album I've become obsessed with Desire and Gold.

This scrub is so amazing it has over took my old Soap and Glory favourite the Sugar Crush scrub, I love that once you mix this scrub with water it turns into more of a body wash and really covers all of your skin. I use this product as a scrub/wash duo and it does the job amazingly. This is perfect when your too lazy to do a proper shower routine, although if it was having problem skin, I would stick to my S&G Sugar Crush scrub to really work my skin. Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em is a winner for me!
This nifty invention has been getting a lot of action recently thanks to Cal for setting it up for me when my feet are hurting after a hard day, even he has been loving it since his feet have been aching a lot recently. Mixing this with boiling water and my Lush Foot mask makes my feet baby soft and my mood much happier.
I have jumped on the bangwagon and fallen in love with Lush's Ultraban cleanser, I can honestly say it is the best thing I have used to take off my make up. I have left my Bioderma and Garnier Micellar water in my face draw and picked this cleanser up instead as it is that good. It really moisturizes my skin as well as take any trace of make up or dirt off and it doesn't hurt or harm my skin at all. Bonus.
I have been a big lover of books since I was a kid and for as long as I could remember I have been a lover of real - hold in your hand- books. There's just something about holding the book in your hand and turning the page yourself, plus the smell of new books is heavenly. I recently got an I-pad for my birthday yay and Cal convinced me to try reading a e-book. Since then... I am addicted to my I-pad, as sad as it sounds. I have already read 5 books on my I-pad and I am already addicted to a series. *Insert emoji of face with geek glasses*
It's that time again people where I tell you guys what I have been looooving this past month and this month is a beauty biggy! I have got loads of make up bits I want to share with you so grab a tea and biscuit and rest your feet...
The first favourite isn't makeup but it is so much better! Whenever I have been at home I have been non stop watching my Sex and the City box set that I got for Christmas a few years ago. Yes I am currently watching it in bed right now as I'm writing this and I am loving life! I am definitely Charlotte.
My next favourite is a eye pencil that I have been wearing on my eyes near enough every day. It is the Mac kohl pencil in the shade Teddy which is a lovely brown shade that really opens up your eyes. I like to wear this without mascara (on them days when I'm too lazy to take my eye makeup off at the end of the night)
Next is the Dior Addict It Lash mascara in black which is just amazing! It never clumps on me and lasts all day on my lashes. This is my go to mascara for any big day or night or just when I'm making a special effort that day.
This month my go to foundation most days has been the Maybelline Fit Me in shade Ivory. I have been using his foundation for a while now, I've writen a few posts including it and I always find myself coming back to it because it works so well for me.
I have never been very much into doing up my eyebrows before I saw it as a waste of time, then my sister done my eyebrows round her house and she actually had the perfect shade for me! I have been put off doing my eye brows before because I have never found a right shade for me but then my sister surprised me. What I have been using is the MUA pro brown kit in medium and dark.
Lastly I have been loving the Revolution Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice. The colours are all very high quality and they go great with my contour as they are all darkest brownish colours (worse description ever!!) but trust me they are good :)
Hope you guys enjoyed this months favourite post and tell me what you've been loving this month :)
Happy February!
It felt so weird putting '15 at the end of this post title, I am so used to seeing '14 everywhere. It is a bit of a wake up call that it is a whole year since I started this blog which feels crazy to me! Time flys when your having a good time I guess...
My favourites for this month are actually favourites for December as well but I felt like I hadn't used them enough to include them in my Favourite Makeup Products From The Year post so they have made their way onto this list instead. Some of these I have already done posts on because I loved them so much so I wont dwell too much on them.
The first is the Kiko Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation which has become a favourite of mine. Its a lovely tanned peachy shade and looks great on the cheek bones over lighter foundations. My post on this foundation can be found here.
The second is another purchase I made in December which I loved a lot. It is the Revolution Fluid Blushes which are super pigmented and easy to blend into the skin. Again my post on these can be found here.
Next is something I got in my last Birchbox, the Eyeko Fat Eye Stick Smoke which is surprisingly easy to use. I was a bit anxious to start using it as the pencil is huge! But I needn't of worried as the tip makes a perfect thin line on the top of my eyes which I wasn't expecting. I have been using this non stop through out December and January.
Next is something I never have thought I would have put in my favourites but it has now become something that I love using. It is a Beauty Blender that has changed my opinion on using sponges completely. You can read my post about it here
Lastly is something that myself and my boyfriend have been loving for maybe more than 2 months now, we (or maybe I just have) become obsessed with George Clarke and his shows The Restoration Man and George Clarkes Amazing Spaces. It is something that just came about by accident one night when there was nothing on tv. Since that first night we watched all the last episodes of Amazing Spaces before Christmas together and now we've gone onto The Restoration Man. We find them so interesting and we love the designs of all the houses that are shown. It has given us some ideas on what we want in our future house (not to jinx anything touch wood) and I look forward to the episodes every week.
This months post is only small but I expect with all the new products I have to use this month that February's favourite post is going to double the size of this post :)
