Working from home is a completely new concept to me so the first two weeks felt very strange and unnatural. Now I am ending my 3rd week of working from home I thought I collate the items I have found worked great at being comfy to work in but also made me feel smart and most importantly - productive. I know some people only want to live in comfy clothing right now and if you can work in that then great, but I tried the whole loungewear look for two weeks and didn't like it all.
My working from home style is comfy but looks smart and makes me feel productive whatever I am doing.
Black Culottes
I swear by these trousers for most of the spring and summer as they are so comfy and let air in in all the right places but they also look smart. Pair these with a silk shirt and you will feel so productive and professional but, also feel comfy no matter whether you are working on the sofa or the desk. If you want to be even more comfy pair these with a graphic tee and layer a cosy jumper and you are sorted. The best thing about culottes is that they don't crease at all so you can slob in them all day and still look put together!
Shirts
I am a big fan of any type of shirt and have a large collection in my wardrobe for everyday use so I find shirts really comfortable to wear. I always think it doesn't matter what bottoms you are wearing if you have a nice shirt on. No one is going to see your bottoms on video call anyway!
Plain Denim Shorts
This is obviously weather appropriate but a good pair of denim shorts with a nice top can do you the world of good when you need a little pick me up. This is my working in the garden uniform where I want to feel comfy and breezy in the nice weather but I need to look smart for a video call. You can never go wrong with black or blue denim shorts and a nice white shirt.
Cream Oversized Cardi
Because I know the weather can't make up its mind and we might need something to get a little cosy. I find my cream cardi from Newlook is great to throw over everything in my wardrobe and the cream is great with my spring colour palette.
Patterned Trousers
I love a good pair of patterned trousers and you can get some really comfy styles which feel like leggings but look much smarted. I have a pair of black and white trousers from Newlook which i have already been living in as they are so comfy. I like to pair them with a graphic tee shirt and whole outfit looks funky and smart.
Smock Dresses
Who doesn't love a smock dress? I have quite a few in my wardrobe and this means I can style them for winter with black tights and jumpers and pair them with sandals for the spring/summer time. A patterned smock dress is great to look smart in but also great for air ventilation while working. Tip - Try and wear dresses which don't crease easily!
Smart Shorts
I have only recently invested in some smart style shorts which I like to pair with a plain cami top or a shirt in the warmer weather. I have a green and oatmeal colour shorts which are super comfy to wear and make me feel a little bit more presentable.
I have been taking photos of my working from home outfits this week so keep an eye out for the blog post which will be coming soon, where I will be wearing basically everything in this edit.

I like to get most of my hair inspiration from Pinterest and I have changed my mind about my hair a lot recently. If you have read my last hair inspiration post then you will know that I chopped off most of my hair a few years ago, since then I have grown my hair and then cut it again, then grown it again and then yes you guessed it, cut it!
Since last year I have been on a mission to grown my hair and I am slowly getting there. Here are some of my favourite hair styles currently inspiring me. As you can tell I am basically my life on Jess from New Girl at the moment!
Styling my full fringe with glasses is my favourite look at the minute so before I picked out my glasses in June, I used Pinterest to help me choose my frames to suit me.
My style has changed a lot over the last year and part of that is down to the new youtubers I have found over the year. Apart from one person from the list who I have been following for a while, I have discovered the ladies below and fallen in love with their style and channels.
# Emma Hill
I have mentioned emma before on my blog and I am still obsessed with her style, she makes the black blazer and denim outfit look so easy to wear. I love watching her wardrobe organising videos and she has just started making videos about charity purchases which interests me a lot. If you are looking for someone with classic London style then Emma is your gal.
# Freya Farrington
I found Freya's channel this summer and I first found her Primark hauls and I loved her style based on casual neutral colour scheme. She can make any outfit work and I have purchased some items I have saw first on Freya and I can confirm, they looked better in her!
#Dearly Bethany
Bethany is my most recent find and I am not ashamed to admit I binge watched all of her videos in one day. Her style is so simple but looks so sleek and put together, she can literally wear a pair of black trousers, a black jumper and a pair of boots and she looks amazing.
I found Ruby only this year and she has become one of my favourite people to watch. She is the person that first got me obsessed with the loafers, mom jeans and shirts combo which I wore so much during spring and summer. I love her girlie smart sense of style and I have made many outfits based on her Instagram.

Following on with my wedding series I have collected loads of photos off Pinterest of hair styles which I would love for my wedding day. I love the look of short and long wedding hair so choosing if I want to cut or grow my hair for my wedding is a tough decision. Although I am loving having a short lob style right now I have always wanted long wavy hair for my wedding so who knows which way I will go!
Since I want a outdoor garden/field wedding I want the boho hair to match so my perfect wedding hair would be loose wavys/curls with some french plaits and flowers in. I don't want to look like I have put a lot of effort into my hair so I want it to look quite natural and low maintenance. The flowers are optional depending on if I feel too silly in them, but again it is my wedding day so who should care but me!
All photos have been taken from Pinterest so make sure that you go over to my Hair board and show some love to the original photo!

So today is the 31st of October which means today is Halloween! I love holidays like this because there are always decorations up everywhere and people really get into the spirit and it gives people an excuse to dress up.
Now this Halloween I am actually not dressing up just because my only option of going out is to go into town and I am not doing that in fancy dress! So anyway this evening (or now depending when I put this up) I am going to the cinema with my boyfriend to watch Ouja, hopefully I wont poo my pants in the cinema...
Since I'm not dressing up this year and I didn't have this blog back then I thought I'd show you guys what I dressed up as last year for a Halloween party. I went as the puppet Saw from the gruesome Saw films which are my favourite! I had the help of my sister and her two friends to get me looking creepy. I had work till 6 that night so it was a bit of a rush to get ready in time for the party but we did it.
I bought white face paint to cover my whole face in, black eye shadow to put all around my eyes, I used a bright red lipstick I already had, a red cream blush to draw on my circles on my cheeks and lastly used a black pencil eye liner to draw on my dummy jaw lines.
The funny thing was my over exaggerated eyebrows look like some girls eye brows normally!
For my hair I backed combed the top of it to get it hold for the whole night (which it did) and curled the hair at the bottom. I tried to make it quite messy so that I wouldn't look to 'put together'
For my outfit I bought a fitted white shirt from Newlook to put under my fitted black blazer from there and wore them with my black disco pants from you guessed it... Newlook. I ordered a red dicky bow off eBay which was a bargain!
And my Saw look was complete!
Here are two photo from the party where I still look quite decent haha the first one is of me and a Micky Mouse garden ornament because why not... and the second is of me and my favourite clown Joseph <3
