I am all about the glitter eye shadows during the party season and i have a few favourite products which get a lot of attention this time of year.
First off is my baby palette which i whip out every year, the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette which has some of the best shimmer gold shades. It has everything you would need for a smokey eye or a simple shimmer lid and the shades are so pigmented, especially for shimmers. You can make some easy quick looks with this palette and it is good to travel with for a weekend away for a special occasion.
Another palette from Urban Decay is the Naked Heat palette which is a mix of shimmer and matte red, orange and burgundy shades which i have fallen in love with. I really like the look of a burgundy eye and lip, which really suits my features and makes it look like i have out a lot of effort into my makeup.
The last palette in the post is the Revolution Iconic Pro palette which is super old now and basically a dupe for the Naked 2 palette but i use it just as much as the Naked version. I like to mix between the two palettes and create different looks. The packaging has changed for this palette but the shades are the same so it is worth a look if you are on a budget.
When i switch it up to a cream shadow i like to use the Collection Glam Crystals in shades divine and Envy. I like to use these cream shadows on their own or as a base underneath a powder shadow. You can either apply a thin layer for a subtle shimmer or a few layers to really build up the colour. During the day when i don't have much plans but i want to look a bit festive, i like to use these cream shadows to add a pop of colour which is subtle.
Another cream shadow i love are the Max Factor Excess Shimmer pots (similar) which are super easy to apply and look so pigmented on the lids. You can either use your fingers or a makeup brush to apply these pots but i do tend to just use my fingers as it blends out much quicker and easier.
Lastly i have the PS Bronze Metallic Eye Cream which is a rich gold shade which is really pretty. I don't use this as often as i use the Max Factor Shadow but that is mainly because the Max Factor product is my favourite cream shadow and is the easiest to apply.
My eye makeup doesn't change up very often as i don't tend to buy a lot of eye makeup, so i like to try and make lots of different eye looks with the palettes I've got. I'm a little more adventurous then i used to be so hopefully one day i will move away from earthy nude shades.
What is your go to festive eye look?

You all know I am the biggest fan of Nude shades but I think most people are now aren't they? I live in Nude shades on a day to day basis and I wanted to take you through my favourite nude shades to throw in my bag.
The first nude I want to talk about is the Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Colour which I didn't photograph as it was in my makeup as you saw from my last post. It is so easy to keep in my hang bag and throw on when my lips are dry or I want to add a bit of colour during the day. I find it leaves my lips feeling looked after instead of dried out which is why I love it.
Next I have some nude pencils which I love to go between and the first pencil will be no surprise to any of you. I have talked about the Newlook Matte Pencils many times before and out of all the shades I own the nude shade is my favourite. I'm not too sure if this shade is still available to buy since I bought it quite a while ago but if you can you need to get it! The shade name is toffee Apple and if this shade isn't still available then I hope there is a similar shade!
The next pencil is the Kiko Lip Gloss Pencil in the shade number 10 and this is completely different to the Newlook pencil as it is a lip gloss so leaves a nice shine on the lips and is really easy to wear and apply throughout the day. I really like Kiko lip products and this pencil makes me want to try more products from the brand.
The last pencil I have is the Maybelline Intense Velvet Lip Crayon in the shade 630 which is such a good lip pencil and a really rich nude shade which looks really nice on the lips. All three lip pencils aren't too different if I am completely honest but it is nice to mix up which lip product I use.
Moving away from pencils two nude NYX lip products which are probably my two favourite products out of all the ones I am mentioning. I have the NYX Lip Cream in the shade Abu Dhabi which I tried first from NYX and fell in love with. The colour is super rich with two coats and when I want the over draw nude lip look this is the product I go for. I tend to draw round my lips with a lip pencil first and then pop this lip cream on top and it doesn't dry my lips out and gives me big full lips.

My lipstick collection has grown so much over the last year and I thought it was about time I posted my collection more for me really so I can remind myself what products I actually have and when I am planning a makeup look I can look at the swatches for reference. I currently hold my lipsticks in a four draw white heart cut out set of draws which I can't find online but here is a similar style of draws for you.
I separate my lipsticks by shades so I have a draw for my Newlook lipsticks, a draw for my nudes, a draw for my reds and berrys and the last draw holds my pink shades and other shades which I don't wear very often or which don't fit in the other draws because they are too full.
The first draw holds all of my Newlook Lipsticks in since that is the biggest collection I have. I have wrote quite a few posts on the brands makeup range so if you want to know about their formula and application head on over to either of these posts Pure Lips, Pure Lips #2, Pure Lips #3. Two of my favoruites are Mid Brown and Camel.
Second I have my nude draw which keeps all of my, yes you guessed it nudes! I have quite a few browns nudes which are my favourite shade to wear and some of my favourites products are the NYX Matte Lip Cream in Abu Dhabi which I have spelt completely wrong in the photo and Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Heather Shimmer.
In my third draw I have all my berry and red tone lipsticks and looking at the swatches of the red shades are making me very excited for summer! Bodyshop Tahiti Hisiscus is a gorgeous pinky red shade which lasts a long time and Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red is the perfect statement red.

Lastly in my fourth draw I keep all of my pink colours and any other lipstick which don't fit in my other draws like my Bodyshop Matte Lipsticks which don't fit in my nude draw. This would probably be my least opened draw just because I love most of my other lipsticks over any of these at the minute, but writing this post has made me want to delve back into this draw frequently and love some my forgotten products.

Watching YouTube and reading blogs means my bank balance regularly gets a bashing after a new product is raved about and like most people I get taken in by the hype of products. My collection is full of products that I have seen someone I look up to talk about and thankfully most of the items are good with only 3 products I wouldn't recommend.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is a cult classic for most people and I tried this product right at the beginning when I was starting out and haven't looked back since. It really is as good as everyone says and I recommend this to everyone.
Baby Lips
You guys know how bad I suffer from dry lips and since trying these lip balms many moons ago I haven't bought another product since. They last me ages even though I use them multiply times a day and are great to wear underneath lip products.
Real Techniques Brushes
Being a blogger I always want to support other bloggers who bring out products and the Real Technics brushes are items I would happily buy multiple times to show my support. They are some of my favourite brushes to use and even though I do have some cheap versions in my collection, I do always go back to the originals when I want my face to look the best.
NYX Lips
These exploded last year in the blogging community and when the counter finally came to the town next to mine I picked up a few bits to try and fell in love with the products. I have three lip creams which I regularly keep in my makeup bag for everyday use and there are so many more NYX lip products I can't wait to try.
Nivea Post Shaving Balm
Nikki Tutorials made this such a popular product that I thought this was going to completely change my life. I do love using this as a primer as my skin looks amazing and last for so long, it is perfect for weddings or nights out when you want your skin to stay fresh all day/night. I don't wear it very much though as I do think it causes spots on my skin so I save it for special occasions.
L'Oreal True Match Foundation
Nearly ever beauty blogger or YouTuber has this foundation in their collection it seems and I totally understand why. it is amazing at making my skin glow and look like I have the perfect skin. I go through stages of wearing it everyday and then not wearing it for weeks because I don't want to run out. The price of this product is great and definitely worth a try if you don't have it in your collection.
Top Shop Glow Pot
At one time nearly everyone was using this highlighter in blog posts and videos and now its kind of become forgotten about. This is a great highlighter at such a good price, a lot of people have compared this highlighter to many high end products which show how good it is. The only down side to this product is that it does rub off my foundation when I apply it. Knowing me though, I am probably applying it wrong.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I don't know anyone who doesn't like this bronzer and that shows how popular this bronzer actually is. I bought it a very long time ago and I still love it as much as when I first got. I think the best thing about it is that you can use it as a bronzer as well as a contour because the tone of the product is perfect for both.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo
To this day I still use my Colour Tattoos on a regular basis as they are so easy to use. I have 3 shades in this and I think its time to pick up a few more shades soon. They blend really easily and last a long time on the lids so they are definitely worth the hype for me. I love to use them on lazy makeup days.
So many people love this foundation so of course I had to try it but I have been disappointed. I hardly use this foundation but I can't bare to throw it away or pass it on because I want to like it. I like natural looking skin and this foundation can look natural if your don't use a lot of product but most of the time when I wear it, it just ends up looking cakey. I find with this foundation I don't like the look of it until its been on for a few hours which isn't good because then I have to take it off. I think for the price, the foundation just isn't worth it.
Benefit Erase Paste
This concealer was really hyped about when it first came out and that made me try it out not long after it surfaced. I got the shade fair which I thought would be great for me but it was really orange toned, when I had a tan it wasn't too bad on my skin but the coverage and the tone just didn't work for me. Also the pot was really annoying to use.
Bodyshop Shade Adjusting Drops
Everyone went crazy for these drops when they first came out and I really wanted to try out the dark drops because I thought they would be more useful. I don't know whether I used it wrong but every time I used these drops my foundation just looks muddy which is not the look I was going for. I started using the drops to cream contour my face which worked better than darkening my foundation but since I don't cream contour very often, the product just didn't get used.

My everyday makeup routine has changed up recently since I introduced some new products and some old products which I had forgotten about back into my routine.
B A S E
I recently got this little sample of Mac's Prep and Prime to try and I can't actually believe I have never tried it before. It feels more like a moisturiser than a primer which is why I really like using this product. It leaves my skin so soft and smooth so my foundations applies so nicely afterwards. I have finally started trying out the L'Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh Foundation properly and I like it so far. Compared to the matte formula of the foundation I find it feels more clogging on the skin and oxidizes when I first apply it but I can get away with it as I have quite a tanned neck thank god. I have been applying this foundation with my beauty blender which I wet first with the Newlook Fix Makeup Setting Spray which I think makes so much difference. I find the foundation gives me a nice glow but doesn't have the best coverage so I do have to go in with my concealers after. Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 10 works perfectly under my eyes to brighten my bags and the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in 2 cool medium covers all my annoying blemishes with a thin layer. Lastly for powder I brought back out the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder which is an old classic.
C H E E K S
To give me so killer cheekbones (or try anyway) I have been using my W7 Honolulu which I got in a Christmas calendar. This contour is the perfect colour and suits my skin tone so well, I would describe it as a dark ashy toned brown. It works as a contour and bronzer product so depending on what look you are going for you cover both bases. I have been double bronzing lately though so I have been packing on the Benefit Hoola bronzer on top of my contour and with a soft hand it can look really natural.
E Y E S & B R O W S
Since glitter was used way too much over Christmas I have ditched the eye shadow lately and opted for just some mascara to keep my eyes simple. I dug out my little mini Clinique High Impact Mascara from my collection and I have really been loving it. For brows I have been kicking it old school with my Soap and Glory Brow Archery in Brownie Points. To set my brows I am working my way through a pot of Sleek Clear Brow Gel which I totally forgot about for most of last year.
Who has the time in the mornings to sit in front of the mirror for hours and do your makeup nowadays? I definitely don't unless I have a day off so my makeup needs to be quick and easy. Here are a few products which I like to use on those early mornings when I have a lot to do but not enough time to do it all.
You can't go wrong with Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in my eyes for a quick and easy application. The product makes you look really healthy (which the names suggests) and awake in the morning when your more than likely still too tired to get out of your pjs bottoms. I use a Real Technics sponge to apply this product and takes about one minute to blend it all into my face, I never have to worry about it caking or being streaky. My Miss Sporty concealer in light is my favourite concealer to use underneath my eyes and always helps me look more awake and alive during the mornings. It blends in really easily so it doesn't take very long to apply it.
My go to bronzer for when I don't have time to contour is the Bodyshop Honey Bronzer in light which works a treat at making my look like I have some sort of colour in my face. A couple of sweeps on the cheeks and I am good to go!
For eyebrows my easiest product to use is my Soap and Glory Brow Archery pencil in brunette, I love the felt tip on one end for filling in my brows as it is really quick and easy. I don't have to worry about making a mistake as I can just wipe the excess away and the product lasts all day on my eyebrows.
A easy way to look like you've spent time on your makeup when you really haven't is to use cream eye shadows, my new best friends and my holy grail. They are basically the lazy girls guide to eye shadow. Two of my favourite ones to use are the Maybeline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze and The Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eye shadow in 04. They are both beautiful golden browns which suit any look and lasts all day on your lids. I usually skip mascara if I am in a rush so I tend to just use my eye lash curlers instead to give the illusion that I have done something to them.
Lastly the lipstick I always reach for and which is always in my hand bag for referent use is the Newlook lipstick in Camel. The perfect nude that suits any eye look I have gone for and which isn't fiddly to apply, one coat and your good to go.

Trying to pick just 10 beauty products that I have loved during last year is always hard because I go in between different products all the time so narrowing them down is hard. I have narrowed it down to 10 picks which I have been head over heels with during the year.
Origins GinZing Moisturiser
I have spoken about this moisturiser many times before and it is a favourite of mine for many reason. I prefer using this moisturiser underneath my makeup rather than any of my other moisturisers as it sinks into my skin so easily I don't feel like I have anything on my skin. It leaves my skin really soft and smooth so applying foundation afterwards is so easy.
L'oreal True Match Foundation
I tried three new foundations in 2016 and this is one of them. I knew this was a blogger favourite so I finally purchased a bottle to try myself and I am so glad that I did. It gives my skin the most amazing finish and gives my skin a boost of life. It covers all my imperfections and lasts all day on my face so its gets a big thumbs up from me. This is the foundation I apply when I am going out for a night out and I want my skin to look a-m-a-zing.
L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation
This is the second new foundation I tried in 2016 and again I loved it after trying it. It is such a easy product to wear, I would feel completely confidence applying this foundation in the dark. It gives a really good coverage which can be built up for a evening look and gives my skin a a flawless finish. I never have to worry about my red cheeks peeking through as this foundation lasts all day and doesn't look cakey after a few hours wear.
Revlon Colourstay Foundation
The last foundation I'm going to talk about today is this little beauty. Just like the L'Oreal foundation, I would feel confident applying this foundation in the dark because it always turns out looking great. This is my everyday foundation which I can apply in a rush and know I don't have to worry about my makeup before I leave because it blends into the skin so easily it doesn't look like I am wearing foundation.
Maybelline Mastersculpt Highlight and Contour
I really don't mix up my contour products very much so this contour and highlight duo from Maybelline have been in my makeup bag all year. It is the perfect contour shade for me and is my favourite product for contouring in my whole collection. I do use the contour shade more then the highlighter shade but you can never have enough highlighters in your collection.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams
NYX cosmetics have exploded this year and I totally understand why after trying a few of their products. I came a bit late to the party which isn't really a surprise with me anymore but I am so glad that I finally gave into the hype. I currently have three Soft Matte Lip Creams in the shades Abu Dhai, Cannes and San Paulo and I love them all so far. The pigmentation of the lip creams are so good and because the product is so creamy they look amazing on the lips even if you have quite dry lips like me. If you have read my Liquid Lipstick Collection post then you will know that I have purchased these products from NYX, Collection and Bodyshop and I reach for my NYX products why more than the other brands.
Clinique Colour Pop Lipsticks
It will be no shock that I have included these lipsticks in my yearly favourites as I have spoke about these in so many posts this year. The formula of these lipsticks is one of my favourite in my whole collection, the lipsticks are so creamy and moisturising but the pigmentation packs such a good punch which you don't always get with moisturising lip products. The Red and Nude shade have been my go to products for most of the year, I hardly wear the pink shade as I am not very much of a pink girl but I can bear to separate the three.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo // On and On Bronze
Cream Eye Shadows have been one of the main makeup trends of 2016 and I took full advantage of all the new releases snagging some amazing products through the year and my all time favourite cream eye shadow out of them all is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze. I've spoke about this product in many posts and so many bloggers love this shade as well so I agree with them all in saying it is amazing. When I want a really simple easy makeup look but I still want to look like I have put in some effort, I reach for On and On Bronze. It is a gorgeous golden bronze shade which is perfect to wear by itself with a nude lip or underneath a powder glitter shade to really pack a punch. I love this product during Christmas time, especially if I finish work at 6 and need to be ready for a Christmas party at half past!
Revolution Salvation Palette // What You Waiting For?
Picking my favourite palette from the whole year was really difficult, really really difficult. I have narrowed it down to one palette that through the year I have pulled out and shown some real love to. The shades in this Salvation palette are absolutely beautiful and you can mix and match with all the shades in the palette to create some lovely looks. My favourite combo is to use Hot Track all over the lid and then place Moving Car over the top and it gives my eyes a beautiful bronze-y shimmer feel. I really need to start using the other shimmer shades more but every time I go to use it, I see Moving Car and immediately wack it on my eye lip because I love it so much.
What were some of your favourite makeup products from the year?

I always like to take a perfume out with me in case I get a bit crazy on the dance floor and start to smell funky... My go to perfume at the minute is Dolce and Gabbana and my bottle is nearly empty because I have used it none stop recently. Carrying on with smelling nice I always have a pack or pot of chewing gums in my clutch bag because you never know when you might get bad breath. I hate drinking a cider and then smelling it on my breath and since I am a boy when I drink, I 99.9% of the time will be drinking cider so chewing gums are always needed.
I take my Babylips lip balm with me everywhere during the day and night so of course it is in my clutch bag on a night out and also for my lips I carry two lip options for the night. 9 out of 10 times I wear a red lip for a night out in December so of course I carry one with me and I've included the Clinique Colour Pop Lipstick in Cherry Pop to top up my red lips but I also take a nude shade out with me. This is because during nights out I can get bored with my lips or after having food and drink my lipstick is non-existent and I don't want to reapply the red shade, so I always bring a moisturising nude shade to give my lips a rest and I picked the Clinique Colour Pop Lipstick in Bare Pop for this. This lipstick is so moisturising and long wearing on the lips that it is a easy choice to throw in the bag.
To stop me sweating my life away I always bring some sort of powder in my bag for top ups and my current favourite is the Dior Skin Nude Tan in light which I have had for a very long time. I used to think this powder was more of a bronzer but after some time I realised that it wasn't giving me bronzed goddess cheekbones so it must only be a powder. This gives my skin a lovely glow and feels lovely on the skin. It doesn't leave your skin looking like it has powder on which is one of the reasons I really love this powder for nights out. To top up my bronzer I always carry my Hoola bronzer in my bag as this is a fail safe option. It doesn't matter what bronzer you have previously used on your face, this product always look good on your skin and suits everyone so if someone in the group needs a top up I have them covered.
Concealers are a must have product during a night out to cover up the dark circles that appear after a certain time! My two favourite products to use are Maybelline Fit Me in shade 10 and Collection Lasting Perfection in Cool Medium. The collection concealer touches up any blemishes that start to reappear and the Maybelline concealer covers my good old grey bags.
Lastly of course I carry around my money, phone and ID in my bag and I am set to go.
Hope you all have an amazing and safe New Years Eve.

When I think of eye makeup during winter and the Christmas party season all I think of is glitter, lots and lots of glitter and rich bright golden colours. This is my favourite time of year for makeup as I love the colours and I think they really compliment my complexion and hair colours. I have a few of my favourite glitter products which get a lot of love during this season and they really don't disappoint.
Starting with the best Urban Decay know how to create party makeup with this palette of brown, taupes and glitters. This includes 8 glitter shades from a silver (Verve) to a mix of golds (Half Baked) to browns (Snakebite) and a taupe (Busted). My all time favorite shade is YDK which is an amazing dark gold with so much glitter packed into it. You could create so many party looks with this palette which makes it a great product to have in your collection. Plus the quality of the eye shadows is beyond amazing.
This is just so so beautiful I had to buy it ready for Christmas, yes it is very bright but the bright the better I say when it comes to golds. Most palettes have a gold shade in but they are never like this gold so I had to put this in my collection. You get a lot o product in the small pot and the quality of the product is great. You could easily use a light hand and use this product as a highlighter as well so it has a dual use.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 05 Eternal Gold and 70 Metalic Pomegrante
You all know how much I love cream eye shadows and these two shadows are perfect for creating Christmas eyes. Metalic Pomegrante is a gorgeous burgundy glitter shades which you can wear quite sheer for a everyday festive look or you can pack on the product to make more of an impact with the glitter. The Eternal Gold shade is perfect for highlighting your inner eyes and brow bone and for adding a bit of gold to your lids to make your eyes pop.
Body Shop Shimmer Cubes in 30
I've spoke about these cubes before in previous posts and Christmas is finally the time where I can put these glitter cubes to use. The shades are perfect for making festive holidays looks and adding a bit of glitter everyday.
Revolution Pigment in Dynamic
I am venturing into the world of pigment this year and I am starting with this Revolution pigment. This dark golden pigment in packed full of glitter and will make a great addition to a smokey eye for a festive night out. A little big of this pigment goes a long way and adds a punch to any makeup look,

So the last few weeks I have bought quite a bit of makeup and so it is time for a bumper haul since I haven't posted one since September last year! It may have been a long time but I don't think I am going to disappoint you with this collection of goodies!
Pure Colour Foundation and Contour Sticks in Light and Medium
This sticks have only came in in the last week or so and I had to try them as soon as I spotted them. I love the idea of foundation in stick form but I haven't try any brands yet. To save my money being splashed on an expensive version that I didn't like I picked up this £4.99 version in 2 shades to try out. So far so good!
Topshop Glow Pot in Polished
I have wanted this pot for ages but My topshop never seemed to have this shade until last week. I couldn't buy it quick enough and I have loved it so far, the effect it gives my face is amazing and I understand the hype around it.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze
This is the 7th pot in my collection I can't get enough of these eye shadows. These are perfect for someone as lazy as me to just whack on my lids and go. As a big lover of bronze and glitter shades these one is right up my alley.
Miss Sporty Perfect Stay Concealer in Light and Medium
I've been looking for a new concealor for a while and after watching some YouTube videos I decided on giving this brand a go. The concealers are only £2 something each which is crazy cheap and worth a shot I think. I picked up the Light and Medium shade and there is quite a big difference in the shades so it might be worth mixing the two shades together to match my skin when I have a little tan to my face.
Bourjois Aqua Blush in 02 CocoriCorail
This product is just beautiful. I am not a big blush fan but the idea of this really intrigued me and once I tried it I found that I really loved it. The product can look scary when you first pump it out but it blends in so easily that it looks really natural on the skin.
Rimmel Oh My Gloss in 800 Crystal Clear
& Seventeen Lip Luster in Ice Maiden
I was on a hunt for some new lipgloss to add to my collection since I wasn't really get much use out of my matte lipsticks this winter. These two caught my eye for two reasons; the clear lipgloss to use when I don't want to use any colour but I want my lips to pop and the nude lipgloss to wear when I have big eye makeup.
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 200 Latino
I did buy one lipstick recently but I choose carefully with the moisture renew formula so hopefully my lips won't crumble into pieces when I apply it! The shade is a low key perfect for the spring time.
Rimmel Kate Moss Eye Shadow Stick in 100 Rose Gold
This stick is just so gorgeous, the shade is super pigmented and I've never really been into eye shadow sticks before but I thought this shade would be the best place to start. I love cream eye shadows so I am sure I will love this product.

For two days I stayed round my sister's flat while she went away (the lucky thing) and so I thought this was a perfect time to update my Travel Makeup Bag post. Now I have named this my Extravagant make up bag because I know that the contents of this bag is a bit excessive, I blame the size of my makeup bag! Enjoy my Makeup Bag guys!

A new love of mine which I have discovered over the last few weeks are cream eye shadows. I know I am really late to the party but I was still in my 'eye shadow isn't for me' phase until a month ago. I had two of these pots in my make up collections since last year probably and they had never been used. They was collecting dust in my draw until one day when I randomly thought 'I'm going to put that under my eye shadow' and like they say the rest was history. Since then I have either wore a cream eye shadow everyday by its myself or with powder eye shadows on top.
The main reasons why I now love cream eye shadows are;
- They look much more natural then powder shadows
- They keep your powder shadow in place all day like a primer
- They last all day themselves
- The colour payoff is really good because they are creamy and rich
- They are easy to blend and easy to get rid of if your make a mistake
- They are much easier to pop on your lids in no time at all
- You only need a little bit of product so these pots can last for months
Two of these pots I already had in my collection from a birchbox and boots (which I don't remember buying) and then this week I went to Superdrug and made use of their 3for2 offer to get three more. Here are the cream eye shadows I now own...
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow - This was sent to me in a Birchbox so long ago I don't even remember if it was this year or not and to be honest when I first got it I didn't know what it was. Then one day I thought 'hey I've never used you before' and so put it on before I put my powder shadows on. It is amazing at keeping your eye shadow in place and still looking untouched all day and I love the colour of this cream shadow as it is basically the colour of my eye lid but a flawless version so if I have any veins or discoloration on my lids it covers it up. I also like to wear this by itself on them lazy make up days where I don't want to look all done up but I want my eye lids to pop.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo Leather Effect in Creamy Beige 98 - This is the other cream eye shadow which I had in my collection and never used. It is a great base taupe/beige colour which I like to use as a base/primer for when I do a smokey eye effect. I like to put this all over my lid so that this base colour can be seen under the other eye shadows I will be putting on. I then take a darker shade and cover my outer half of my eye with before I take my darkest colour and blend it into my crease. This shadow is really long lasting at it feels like it dries on the lid so it will last all day (without being flakey or horrible) but it isnt as creamy as the Benefit cream eye shadow. Its more of a harder product to pick up on your finger and work into the lid but this may be because I have had it for so long, and it does help it last longer.
Max Factor Excess Shimmer Pot in Bronze 25 - This is the first of the three pots I purchased this week in Superdrug. This first one by Max Factor is the most amazing golden metallic shimmery bronze colour which I thought would really suit my brown eyes and look amazing for a Christmas party look. I have yet to try this pot and I hope it works as well as the Maybelline pots which I am now a huge fan of.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Eternal Gold 05 - This gorgeous gold glittery shade again I thought would be great for Christmas as a base underneath golden eyes. It has hints of yellow in it but the gold wins the colour battle. This colour is so gorgeous in the pot I don't particularly want to touch it and ruin the top but I can't wait to use it.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate 70 - This is my last purchase and maybe my favourite. It is a great burgundy pomegranate shade which I think is so beautiful. I have used this shade already underneath Purple/burgundy shades in my palettes.
I can see myself growing my cream shadow till I have every shade that is made, which I won't be complaing about! Let me know what you think of the cream eye shadows, do you love them or hate them?
It's that time again people where I tell you guys what I have been looooving this past month and this month is a beauty biggy! I have got loads of make up bits I want to share with you so grab a tea and biscuit and rest your feet...
The first favourite isn't makeup but it is so much better! Whenever I have been at home I have been non stop watching my Sex and the City box set that I got for Christmas a few years ago. Yes I am currently watching it in bed right now as I'm writing this and I am loving life! I am definitely Charlotte.
My next favourite is a eye pencil that I have been wearing on my eyes near enough every day. It is the Mac kohl pencil in the shade Teddy which is a lovely brown shade that really opens up your eyes. I like to wear this without mascara (on them days when I'm too lazy to take my eye makeup off at the end of the night)
Next is the Dior Addict It Lash mascara in black which is just amazing! It never clumps on me and lasts all day on my lashes. This is my go to mascara for any big day or night or just when I'm making a special effort that day.
This month my go to foundation most days has been the Maybelline Fit Me in shade Ivory. I have been using his foundation for a while now, I've writen a few posts including it and I always find myself coming back to it because it works so well for me.
I have never been very much into doing up my eyebrows before I saw it as a waste of time, then my sister done my eyebrows round her house and she actually had the perfect shade for me! I have been put off doing my eye brows before because I have never found a right shade for me but then my sister surprised me. What I have been using is the MUA pro brown kit in medium and dark.
Lastly I have been loving the Revolution Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice. The colours are all very high quality and they go great with my contour as they are all darkest brownish colours (worse description ever!!) but trust me they are good :)
Hope you guys enjoyed this months favourite post and tell me what you've been loving this month :)
I don't know about the rest of you but my skin is very temperamental, really really temperamental. Recently I have been suffering with really bad redness on my cheeks and red dots all along my cheeks and chin.
This could be a result of a few different factors (rubbish food and stressful days at work aren't helping) but I have been using a few products that I have found really useful in covering up my blemish skin and making it look even.
Because my skin has been so horrible lately, I have been using these products nearly every day and I've got into a bit of routine in applying them.
Prep
Prepping your skin before you cover it in products is really important not just to help your products last through the day but also to stop them from looking cakey or even flakey if you suffer from dry skin. There are two products that I use to prep my skin before I load it with foundation and concealer, the Simple Oil Balancing Moisturiser and the Christian Dior Pore Minimizer Skin Refining Matte Primer.
The moisturiser is good at giving my skin some added moisture and boost without drowning it and I only need to wait a few minutes before I can start adding my primer. It also helps control shine which we all suffer from now and again.
The primer helps me get a matte looking finish and helps keep my foundation and concealer on for longer, so my horrible red cheeks are hidden for longer.
Together these two products are great as a duo and perfect as a base for under foundation.
Conceal
After I have prepped my face I put my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in Ivory on any reddnes on my cheeks and any spots I might have. This doesn't cover the blemishes completely by its self but its does help me disguise my blemishes before I add my foundation.
Cover
Next I cover my whole face in foundation like I would normally do, because I have prepped my face with moisturiser and primer my face shouldn't look cakey or orange with my foundation on too. The foundation works as a mask to even out my skin so that my concealer is now invisible and my skin looks naturally even.
I have been going between two different foundations recently which are the Rimmel Match Perfection in shade Warm Ivory which has a medium to full coverage so is handy on the days when my skin is really bad, and the Maybelline Fit Me in shade 115 Ivory which has less coverage then the Rimmel product so is useful on the days when my skin isn't to blotchy.
Top Up
Lastly, so that my make-up lasts the day and my blemishes stay hidden, I use the Collection 2000 pressed powder in Transparent to set my make up and I then use it through the day to top up my make up and keep it looking fresh. No one likes a patchy face in the afternoon!
I would post a photo of my skin before I have applied these products to show you have good they work but who wants to see my spotty red face, I'm saving your eyes!

Its that time again people where I tell you guys what I've been loving this month and shock! I totally forgot until now when we are already 4 days into the next month. Good thing I have been writing products down in my notebook all month so I haven't been completely lazy...
I haven't got many favourites this month but all the products I'm going to talk about I haven't been able to stop using the theme for this month is quality over quantity.
The first is these incredibly cute ginger bread leggings I got from Primark at the beginning of the month. Seriously how cute are they?! I love the design because I am a huge fan of Christmas and the little ginger bread men are just sooo cute. The leggings are also extremely warm so great during the colder months.
Next is a make up product I have talked about before but I need to talk about every day because I love it just so much! It is the brilliantly helpful Sleek contour palette, you probably guessed it anyway. Like last time I wrote about it, I have been using it everyday still. I wont go over everything I love about it again, here is just my post dedicated to it here.
My next item is from quite a miss-looked brand that now does make up. It is Newlook's Pure Colour blusher in shade 72 babydoll pink. Not many people talk about the make up from Newlook and I am not just saying this because I am biased but this blush in my opinion is really good. It Is a nice pale pink colour that looks really nice on the cheeks.
My go to foundation this month has been the Maybelline Fit Me foundation in shade 115 Ivory. Again I have talked about this foundation before so it has been a long time favourite of mine for a few months now. The shade isn't too pigmented like other foundations so its good at not turning your face a different colour to your neck.
My last item is the Soap and Glory Clean, Girls body wash, this is the perfect body wash for skin that isn't feeling that healthy and needs something to give it back some moisture and loving. Already this autumn my skin has started to get really dry and irritated so this moisturising body wash is perfect to help you get back super soft skin.
And that's the end of my short but sweet October favourites post, have you guys tried any of the products?

Its that time again so I'm going to get straight into it and try not to waffle... yeah right!
My first favourite is a perfume my sister got for me randomly a few weeks ago, it is the Dolce and Gabbana -The One- and its smells beautiful. I'm not going to try and describe the smell for you because I am rubbish at but in its official describtion it describes it as "fruity-floral" and "lasting warmth of vanilla and sweetness of Amber and Musk" -Sounds delicious I know...
My next favourite for June is my new iPhone 5s :D
I've never been the one to get the newest phone as I don't see the point in paying extra for the newest phone when you can get an older version which costs less and does most of the same stuff. But this time it cost the same to get the newest iPhone so I did and I haven't looked back yet. I love that it has finger print recognition, how cool is that! I also love the thinner longer design.
A piece of clothing that I have become obsessed with recently is Kimonos. I love them so much, they look good on everyone and everything and are so easy to wear. I currently have 4 and are planning on adding to my collection :)
My first make up item that I have been loving this month is my Maybelline Fit Me foundation in the shade 115. The colour is perfect for my skin and is easy to apply, look good throughout the day, blends well on the skin and simply looks good.
The second is the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealor in Ivory which I have had for some time now and find myself continuously using it on days when I am wearing makeup and also on 'no makeup days'. It is great for covering little spots I might have surfacing and to cover up redness that I have on my cheeks.
The third is my H&M bronzing powder in Dark Tan. This is a really nice colour that looks great on the cheeks and on your temples, it doesn't look to dark on your skin but you can build it up if you want a really defined cheek bone. Im pretty sure I've mentioned it in a previous favourites post or at least a themed post.
The last item is Benefit's they're real mascara. Everyone raves about this mascara and I can see why, It makes my lashes look so amazing that I feel like I don't need to wear eye liner with it, my lashes look amazing with just this on. It also doesn't clump which is a bonus so I have been religiously using this this month.
So these are my favourites for this month, have any of you tried these products? Apart from Benefit's mascara because lets be honest, if you haven't tried it then you've been living under a rock! :)

I'm currently spending the week round my sisters flat while she is on holiday. When i was packing a bag to come here it dawned on me that i wouldn't have all my products at hand and i would have to pick certain products to take with me.
Luckily for me I have some make up products that i always use and i swear by so filling my makeup bag wasn't hard.
For concealers I bought the two that i always use day to day. I use my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1 underneath my eyes and on my nose. Then I'll use my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer on any red or off colour skin before i put foundation on. If i have any little spots i will use this concealer on top to hide the little buggers.
For foundations i bought my two favorite ones at the moment that always leave my skin looking good and arent too heavy on my skin. My favourite out of the two is the Rimmel Match Perfection Smart Tone Technology in 230 Warm Ivory. This is a repurchase i made recently because the first ever foundation i bought was the same brand but in just Ivory. It is too light for me to use now so i needed to update a shade. The second is my Maybelline Superstay 24 hours in 010 Ivory. This is great when im having a bad skin day and i want a little more coverage. Read my review post on this (here)
For powders i bought the two that i use everyday without fail as they work perfectly for me. I'll cover my whole face with the Collection 2000 Pressed Powder in 02 Tendertouch to set my makeup. I'll then use my Miss Sporty So Matte Perfect Stay Pressed Powder in 002 Medium on my cheek bones and my temples to define them.
For my cheeks i bought my two Elf cosmetics blushers that i am in love with! The All Over Stick in 3101 Pink Lemonade and the Baked Blush in Cheeky Peachy. I wont say too much about these as i have already reviewed the All over stick (here) and the Baked Blush (here). All you need to know is they both look great on the skin and are perfect for the spring time.
For my eyes I bought my trusty Elf Mineral Eye Liner which is great at making my eyes really stand out and is really easy to blend out. For mascara i bought the Maybelline Rocket Volume Express mascara as it is perfect for everyday use and can be built up for the evening.
For my lips i have 4 lipsticks that work for me no matter what I'm wearing and where I'm going. The first is a lipstick i actually found on eBay. It may sound wear buying makeup off of eBay but it is brand new and really cheap. The make I like is Laval Classic and the shade is Mystic Pink. Now the shade names aren't really suitable for the shades that they actually are but as long as you look at the photos before you buy any then you'll know what your getting. I love this lipstick, it applies well, lasts a long time and doesn't dry out my lips when I'm wearing it. For £1 something they are definitely worth a look! (here)
The next lipstick is the Revlon Colourburst Lip butter in 063 Wild Watermelon which is a gorgeous red shade which isnt too bold to look too much on a day to day basis. These lip butters are so nourishing on my lips, they feel like lip balms.
The next lipstick is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in shade 086 Sugarplum. Its great to add a pop of colour to a dull outfit.
The last lipstick is probably my favourite out of all of them. Its a Avon lipstick in the shade is Rosey Gold. It is a lovely colour that looks great on the lips because of the shimmer it has to it. Again it is really moisturising on the lips so feels great on.
And there you go my Travel Make Up Bag is complete. Look out for my Travel Shower Bag post coming up soon! xx
