My morning and evening skincare routines

Clinique, evening, isolation, Kiehl's, morning, pinterest, Products, routine, skincare, sukin, working from home,

I have a love hate relationship with skincare and right now, I am really in love with it.

It must be something to do with having more time on my hands but I am at it every morning and evening and that hasn't happened in a very long time.

My skin is really loving the TLC (apart from my chin which after a few weeks of no skincare, lots of chocolate and wine is erupting in loads of mountains) so I thought I would give a little update on my routine since my last post was December

I have only recently been using different products during my morning and evening routines so unlike my previous posts, I have split these down for you so enjoy!

M O R N I N G

The first product I use to wash the dirty off of my face is the Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser which I got in my trio pack for Christmas. One of the things I really like about this product is that it has no frills, just plain good product which actually works.

Once I have washed my face I like to go in with a toner and the one I have been using recently is the Clinique Clarifying Lotion which reminds me of the Glossier Solution toner. They are both great at really getting into your pores and actually doing something deep within them.

Once I am all fresh faced and feeling clean I like to use the Glossier Super Bounce Serum to give myself a little extra moisture before I apply my actual moisturiser. I have found since working from home and spending more time in the sun that my skin has really needed a extra something. The serum paired together with a moisturiser also makes a great base for makeup.

Last up I have my two moisturisers for the day time and I am so sad that I am nearly out of one. I firstly use the Origins Refreshing Eye Cream which is a pale pink colour which makes it great to brighten your under eye (and god knows I've needed that lately).

My everyday face moisturiser is the Lacura Facial Cream (the product is limited edition but you can shop their other products here) which is a dupe of the Kiehl's facial cream which I am drying to try. The Kiehl's cream is around the £45 mark and that is just too much to pay for one product right now, I'll still to my £25 Clinique Moisture Surge thank you! I bought this moisturiser late last year as a whim as It was only £5 and it is actually amazing. If you can find some in the local Aldi definitely try it.

E V E N I N G

Moving onto my evening routine and this changes slightly depending on whether I have worn makeup during the day but it mainly starts with the Simple Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water which I have to say is my favourite micellar water out of all the brands. I have tried many over the years including Garnier,  Nivea and Bioderma and Simple has always been my favourite. The main reason is I feel like I am never left with a film on my skin after using it.

Then once my skin is clean of any obvious dirty I go in with a toner and cleansing pads both from Superdrug's Naturally Radiant Glycolic range. Some times I might only use one product but most of the time I use both the Glycolic Tonic and the Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads. These both get the extra bit of dirty which is hiding on the skin and when I am having a break out, these tone down the angry spots (these are getting a lot of use right now).

Lastly onto my moisturising products to give my skin some TLC during the night. First up I have the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate which I don't use every night other wise I would be sharing my house with a number of spots on the regular, but I do use it about once a week when I feel like my skin needs a pick me up during the night. Obviously from the name, the product is very concentrated so you only need a little bit of product to do the job and this makes a great base for your moisturiser to do its magic.

The moisturiser I am currently using during the evenings is the Sukin Facial Moisturiser. Now I know that isn't a night moisturiser but I find I get on much better with this product then my Sukin night moisturiser at the moment, and when your skin tells you something you listen!

A bit of a long post today but i hope it encourages you to dig around your skincare draw and pull out some unloved products while you have a bit more time on your hands. I have a post coming up showing you the new products which have come into my collection thanks to my birthday at the beginning of this month so make sure you keep a eye out for it.

How i'm keeping my skin hydrated this winter

simple, Clinique, glossier, kielhs, skincare, winter, autumn, hydration, flatlay, products, boots,
I'm sure I am not the only person who's favourite time of year is right now but also dreads the effect it will have on their skin. I have predominantly dry skin which becomes more dry during the colder months. Over the years I have learnt tips and tricks to keep my skin hydrated and have a list of products I can go between to fix any problems. Here are the products that I am currently using.

Starting off with the most important product - lip balm! Everyone in my RL knows that I have problematic dry lips and sees the effects of them every week so I never skip this step in my morning or evening skincare routine. I have exclusively used Glossier Balm Dot Com since I first tried them some years ago. I don't know any other lip balm that rivals them. This is a crucial step in my routine to make sure my lips are looked after for the day so I always start my day applying lip balm.

Next I have what I call an under base product which comes in so handy during the colder months. I only first tried serums a few years ago and I do think the effects they give your skin are unlike any other type of product. During the day I like to use the Glossier Super Bounce Serum which gives your skin extra moisture and plumps your skin to make it feel younger and smoother. I find this teamed with a moisturiser is the perfect base for my make to last all day and my face to stay hydrated for hours.

Before I go to bed I like to apply Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate which I am pretty sure is magic in a bottle. I first picked this up in Brighton this year and after a little demo from the sales assistant I was go excited to try it! I have reads reviews where people have explained that the serum has brought them out in spots, I have experienced that myself but I was using it every night for about 2 months. I find this is a perfect product to use as and when your skin needs it. I like to keep this on my bed side table so after I have done my skincare routine and let the other products sink in, I then decided before I fall to sleep whether my skin needs some extra help that night.

Lastly I have two moisturises which are both affordable products from Boots. I have previously been a bit of a skincare snob when it came to moisturisers (bar the Sukin Facial Moisturiser which is actually the bomb and great under make up!) but when I ran out of my favourite Clinique Moisturiser I needed a replacement which was easily assessible and a bit cheaper. I tested the Simple Water Boost Hydrating Gel Cream in store one day and couldn't believe how light and hydrating the product was, and at £6.99 for 50ml (currently £4.66 on offer) I had to try it. You definitely do not need a lot so the tub lasts a long time and paired with my Glossier serum, my skin feels amazing afterwards. Full post of my favourite moisturises here!

My last moisturiser is the Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream. I am not a religious night cream wearer, as sometimes with dry to combination skin you can over moisturise, but hen I do I like to use this. Sukin is an Australian made, natural, cruelty free, vegan, carbon neutral brand and if none of that takes your fancy, its products feel so luxurious. At £14.99 for 120ml you really are buying a greta product from a great company at a great price. They have difference ranges which range in price but I have found with all the products I have tried, that they last so long. I first tried this product along with a few others last January and I still have some much product left (see blog post here).

Have you got any products you swear by this time of year?

Skincare Empties #1

Skincare Empties #1

I have used up quite a lot of skincare products since the start of the year so i thought I would round them all up and give you my opinion on whether I would purchase the products again. I have tried so many new skincare products this year so I have a few new favourites in my collection.

First off i am taking it back to August when I used up the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm. I am a big fan of cleansing balms especially in the winter when my skin can get quite dry. The balm lasted me quite a few months as I treated it more like a luxurious cleanser as I was also using the Lush Cleansing balm at the same time. Although I don't use cleansing balms a lot of the time because I am much too lazy, i do want to purchase a new pot going into winter. I loved using this cleanser on my pamper nights when my skin really needed it.

Another product I used up quite a while ago was the Origins GinZing Moisturiser which I have spoken about so many times before. I scraped that pot till there was nothing left to scrap! This moisturiser is one of my top 2 moisturisers of all time so once I finish the Cinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser that I currently have, I will be buying another pot from Bicester Village. I really love rich moisturisers which leave you skin feeling like you've just had a facial.

Back in April I was given a bunch of Glossier products for my birthday and my favourite product out of all of them was the Glossier Super Bounce Serum. I used that serum every day so it didn't last very long at all. I will definitely be repurchasing that once I use up the Botanics serum I purchased last month to replace it. Sadly they don't compare at all... The glossier serum left my skin feeling really soft and bouncy (as the name suggests) but the Botanics serum feels like it strips my skin and leaves it really dry.

Another skincare product I've used up is the Sukin Foaming Cleanser which I first tried back in January. I love using a foaming cleanser with my manual cleansing brush and this cleanser left my skin feeling cleaner than any other product I've ever used. I haven't had a chance to go out and buy another bottle yet but I definitely will soon!

Finally for the last of the skincare, I'm not going to lie I probably had my L'Oreal Pure Clay Detox Face Mask for way longer than I should had. It probably was past its sell by date but who cares it still worked. This was the only face mask I owned after a big clear out of my collection and once I finished the pot I picked up the Pure Clay Rescue Mask as a replacement. There aren't many make up brands which make great skincare (in my opinion) but L'Oreal know what they are doing. My skin is currently in a good condition but now and again springs a random spot which can get sore so these face marks are a life saver.

Five Products I'm Loving This Summer

The W7 palette is much more darker in real life I not sure why it looks so pale....

Since the heat wave started in England I have been living my best sun kissed life (apart from when I'm drenched in sweat...) and I have been returning to the same five products every day to help me keep my glow.

The first is the Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer in the shade Golden Days which if you have been around for a while you will know this was my favourite bronzer back when I started this blog in 2014. I like bronzers that are warmed toned without being too dark because although I have olive skin not all bronzers suit me, this bronzer is really easy to blend and it is a steal at just £4.

Now I'm going to do that horrible thing where I talk about a product that isn't available anymore I'm sorry! It's currently sold out on the website but it may still be in shops I hope! The bronzer in question is the Fall 2.0 Baked Bronzer in 01 Warm Melange which was a bit more expensive at £22.90 but it is an amazing bronzer especially during this heat wave. It has the same effect as the Revolution baked bronzer so it doesn't give your face a flat colour when you apply it. It it also huge so for that size I don't mind spending a little more money on it. It also smells like chocolate I thought you might want to know. Since I can't link the actual bronzer here is Fall Bronzer Blush Duo which is currently only £3.80!! and the current Gold Waves bronzer which is very similar to my one.

The only highlighter I've been reaching for recently is the PS Glow Palette from Primark which is actually bloody amazing and is only £5!! I didn't expect too much from this palette when I bought it but I have been wearing this palette all over my face. I normally only wear highlighter on my cheeks on a day to day basis but with this highlighter I have gone to ham. My favourite shade has to be the bottom right which goes with any makeup look. As my tan has developed I have branched out to the dark top left shade which looks amazing. If you want to see swatches of this palette then head over my New In Primark Makeup post.

Now onto eye palettes I have two which are my favourite to wear during the summer. Starting with the cheaper of the two again I have the W7 In The Nude palette which is a great dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette but a fraction of the price. I have had this palette since 2016 and two years on I am still living it, especially when it is sunny. It just has a lovely array of pinks and light browns with shimmers mixed in, anything you would need for a cute summer eye look. All the shades are easy to wear which is why I like it so much, you know I am a max two shade kind of eye so these shades all work well together. My favourite combo from this palette is the fourth shade called Marilyn with the eighth shade called Bad Manners on top. The other palette I have been loving this summer is the Naked Heat palette which of course is perfected for summer. Callum bought me this palette for my birthday as he is a keeper so I have this beauty in my collection. I tend to stay down the bottom end of the palette especially at this time but when we get into the winter time I know I will be using that beautiful ashes shade. My favourite combo at the moment from this palette is to place Dirty Talk on top of Low Blow for a brown/red glitter.

Whats your favourite makeup product this summer? I haven't bought anything new in so long!

My 2017 Beauty Dupes (So Far)

My 2017 Beauty Dupes (So Far)

I am such a drugstore girl through and through and when I can find drugstore dupe of an expensive product you know it will probably be in my bag! Why spend loads of money on one product when you can get a cheaper product which is most of the time as good. Obviously some dupes are just plain rubbish but these beauties are definitely worth the dupe title.

The first dupe is a product I have spoken about quite a few before on my blog and I think it works just as good as the product it is a dupe for. The Newlook Fix Make Up Setting Spray is only £4.99 and I use it on my makeup sponges and brushes and on my face after I have finished my makeup. I find it really easy to use and can really see a difference when I do use it. The Mac Prep and Prime Fix spray is £18 a bottle which is smaller than the Newlook bottle so for £5 I recommend you all to give it a go!

Moving on to my favourite beauty tool ever!! I have been using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge for months now I don't even remember the last time I used a brush! I find them so much easy to blend in foundation and cream products so I have a total of 4 in my collection. For £5.99 each or two for £10 in Superdrug you really can't go wrong! Especially since the Beauty Blender is around £16.

My last dupe is a product I have spoken about so many times before! You all know I love Newlook makeup anyway but their Velvet Matte Lip crayons are one of my favourite products in my collection. I have 4 shades in my own collection and I am waiting for the new range to be brought out! I think paying £4.99 on these lip crayons is so much more better then paying £20 for the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. I'm not saying I wouldn't go out and buy the Nars versions but I think i'd rather buy 4 for the price of 1 first.

I'm starting to branch out again with my makeup and try new things again so hopefully I will have more products to add to this list in a few months. I love finding dupes for expensive products because usually the dupe products are much easier to get hold of then the expensive products.

YouTube and Blogging Made Me Buy It

YouTube and Blogging Made Me Buy It
YouTube and Blogging Made Me Buy It
YouTube and Blogging Made Me Buy It
Watching YouTube and reading blogs means my bank balance regularly gets a bashing after a new product is raved about and like most people I get taken in by the hype of products. My collection is full of products that I have seen someone I look up to talk about and thankfully most of the items are good with only 3 products I wouldn't recommend.

T H E G O O D

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is a cult classic for most people and I tried this product right at the beginning when I was starting out and haven't looked back since. It really is as good as everyone says and I recommend this to everyone.

Baby Lips
You guys know how bad I suffer from dry lips and since trying these lip balms many moons ago I haven't bought another product since. They last me ages even though I use them multiply times a day and are great to wear underneath lip products.

Real Techniques Brushes
Being a blogger I always want to support other bloggers who bring out products and the Real Technics brushes are items I would happily buy multiple times to show my support. They are some of my favourite brushes to use and even though I do have some cheap versions in my collection, I do always go back to the originals when I want my face to look the best.

NYX Lips
These exploded last year in the blogging community and when the counter finally came to the town next to mine I picked up a few bits to try and fell in love with the products. I have three lip creams which I regularly keep in my makeup bag for everyday use and there are so many more NYX lip products I can't wait to try.

Nivea Post Shaving Balm
Nikki Tutorials made this such a popular product that I thought this was going to completely change my life. I do love using this as a primer as my skin looks amazing and last for so long, it is perfect for weddings or nights out when you want your skin to stay fresh all day/night. I don't wear it very much though as I do think it causes spots on my skin so I save it for special occasions.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation
Nearly ever beauty blogger or YouTuber has this foundation in their collection it seems and I totally understand why. it is amazing at making my skin glow and look like I have the perfect skin. I go through stages of wearing it everyday and then not wearing it for weeks because I don't want to run out. The price of this product is great and definitely worth a try if you don't have it in your collection.

Top Shop Glow Pot
At one time nearly everyone was using this highlighter in blog posts and videos and now its kind of become forgotten about. This is a great highlighter at such a good price, a lot of people have compared this highlighter to many high end products which show how good it is. The only down side to this product is that it does rub off my foundation when I apply it. Knowing me though, I am probably applying it wrong.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I don't know anyone who doesn't like this bronzer and that shows how popular this bronzer actually is. I bought it a very long time ago and I still love it as much as when I first got. I think the best thing about it is that you can use it as a bronzer as well as a contour because the tone of the product is perfect for both.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo
To this day I still use my Colour Tattoos on a regular basis as they are so easy to use. I have 3 shades in this and I think its time to pick up a few more shades soon. They blend really easily and last a long time on the lids so they are definitely worth the hype for me. I love to use them on lazy makeup days.

T H E  B A D
Mac Studio Fix
So many people love this foundation so of course I had to try it but I have been disappointed. I hardly use this foundation but I can't bare to throw it away or pass it on because I want to like it. I like natural looking skin and this foundation can look natural if your don't use a lot of product but most of the time when I wear it, it just ends up looking cakey. I find with this foundation I don't like the look of it until its been on for a few hours which isn't good because then I have to take it off. I think for the price, the foundation just isn't worth it.

Benefit Erase Paste
This concealer was really hyped about when it first came out and that made me try it out not long after it surfaced. I got the shade fair which I thought would be great for me but it was really orange toned, when I had a tan it wasn't too bad on my skin but the coverage and the tone just didn't work for me. Also the pot was really annoying to use.

Bodyshop Shade Adjusting Drops
Everyone went crazy for these drops when they first came out and I really wanted to try out the dark drops because I thought they would be more useful. I don't know whether I used it wrong but every time I used these drops my foundation just looks muddy which is not the look I was going for. I started using the drops to cream contour my face which worked better than darkening my foundation but since I don't cream contour very often, the product just didn't get used.

What products have you bought thanks to blogging or YouTube?

Lush Products I Got For Christmas

Lush Products I Got For Christmas

My family and friends know me very well and I got a ton of Lush Bath Products for the bath this year so I thought a post was definitely in order. You really can't go wrong with a Lush Bath Bomb or Shower Cream when you are feeling run down.

Floating Island is the only bath oil I got for Christmas and I am interested to try this out. I am pretty sure I have used a bath oil from them before but I don't remember anything special about it so when my skin is needing a pick me up, this bad boy will have its time to shine.

Two Bubble Bars which I am so excited to have in my collection again are the Comforter and Brightside. I owned both of these before and I absolutely loved them for so many reasons. I crumbled a little bit into my bath and the amount of bubbles they produce are amazing. The bars lasted me so long before I was so sad to see them finish. Brightside made my bath a bright pink mess of bubbles and Comforter made my bath look a little bit like bright pee but it was still lovely.

Bath Bombs have to be my favourite products from Lush and I got a 8 bath bombs in total for Christmas which made me a happy bunny indeed. I got two Golden Wonder bath bombs which is very exciting because look at them! What could be better than a gold castle and it smells really citrus-y (yes I have just made up that word). I also got The Experimenter bath bomb with I have used before and loved. It makes your bath a rainbow colour which looks a-m-a-zing! Fizz Banger is a amazing smelling yellow colour which smells like a really sweet apple pie which is one of my favourite deserts. Intergalactic is like Experimenter because it feels your bath with lots of colour but mainly a sparkley blue which I absolutely love, it reminds me of the Frozen bath bomb which is one of my all time favourites. Butter Bear is a super cute white bear which smells like a savory butter cake which smells amazing and really makes me what some cake. Lastly for bath bombs I got Ickle Baby Bot which I have already used, it is a super cute little blue robot which made my bath turn baby blue in colour, I found it didn't do anything apart from change the colour though so glad I used that one first and saved some of my favourites for later.

Lastly I got the Snow Fairy shower gel which smells like heaven to me. Its smells like them candy necklaces that you used to eat when your were a kid but x1000 in impact. I find Lush's shower gels are so amazing for their smell and how amazing they leave my skin. They lather up so well and leave my skin so soft and smelling like a candy shop.

Right now I wish you could add smell to posts so you can all smell how amazing my room smells now from have all the products out of their packaging. I shall link all the products which are still availible on the website, let me know what is your favourite bath bombs and bars.

New In | Beauty

round up, new, beauty, products, rimmel, seventeen, max factor, kiko, blogger, makeup

I have quite a few new beauty bits that have made their way into my makeup collection recently and some of them are so so pretty. You know I am a sucker for pretty packaging and even prettier products. A lot of the products are for eyes but what can I say, I am a keen eye shadow shopper!

I picked up a new lipstick from Max Factor called 837 Sunbronze which is a super pretty shinny mauve /pink which is perfect for this time of year. Yes I know it is very similar to most of my other lipsticks but it really hydrating and packs a lot of power. I love the colour and shin the product gives my lips and the gold packaging is definitely eye catching.

I hadn't invested in a new mascara in months so I went for a shop and picked up the Revlon Volume and Length mascara which I have had my eye on for a while. I love the concept of having different mascara to do different jobs for my eye lashes. I picked up the volume and length version as my eyelashes are quite short and stumpy this is great at making them long and fluttery.

The first of my eye shadow products is another Kiko cream crush pot in the shade 05 which is a shimmery sheer creamy glitter. In some lights the product looks pink and in other lights it looks silver especially if you apply more product. It is so gorgeous and would make a brilliant highlighter as well (if not over applied)

I also purchased this single shadow from L'oreal in the shade Lumiere 500 which I am very excited about. I mean look at it! It is a gorgeous bright gold which is so pigmented so you have to be careful not to be too crazy with it. I haven't used it properly on my eyes yet as I don't think this is a everyday shade. This would be great for Christmas party makeup for sure! I will definitely make use of it soon.

A new quad that I have picked up is by Rimmel in the shade 002 Smokey Brun. It is the perfect everyday eye shadow quad in my eyes as it has great everyday shades and is a great size to take on the go. I like using this palette for a subtle smokey eye which these colours are great for.

The last product I've purchased lately is a cute little eye shadow palette from Seventeen in Birthday Suit. I have never tried a Seventeen palette before which I think it a crime after I have swatched this beauty. The pigmentation of the eye shadows is really good, the cream eye shadows I am still a bit unimpressed with but I am looking forward to playing around with this palette at a later point.

Skincare Brands | Top 3

skincare, brands, favourite, autumn, lush, clinique, origins, products, cleansers, facial wash, face masks, moisturisers, eye cream, list, blogger,

I haven't wrote a skincare post since February and that is just not alright with me. Skincare is my all time favourite kind of products to talk about but I very rarely mix up the products that I use,  once I have a routine that works for me I stick with it so I don't want to talk about the same products over and over again. Today I am going to talk you through three of my favourite skincare brands for work for me. Now everyone's skin is different and different things work for different people so just because these brands work with my skin doesn't mean they will definitely work for you too.

The Fancy Skincare - Clinique
Even though I have called this brand the 'fancy skincare' doesn't mean I have the products just because of the name! My mum used to use this brand when I was younger so I knew of the name and always wanted to try it. I started out with a moisturiser from a discount beauty shop and fell in love with it. Clinique are the only moisturisers I use as they make my skin feel amazing every time I use them and they don't irritate my skin or break me out. I have tried other brands (and the Origins moisturiser is quite good I'll give the brand that) but I always come back to my Clinique moisturisers and always take them away with me because they are so amazing. Some of the products can be expensive so I tend to buy them when I go through duty free or visit Bicester Village so I can save some pennies.

I have ... Dramatically different moisturising lotion, Daily superdefence moisturiser, All about the eyes eye cream.

The Everyday Skincare - Lush
My love affair with Lush started out with the bath bombs and gradually moved onto other products like the skincare. I really like their skincare as I know non of the products are going to irritate my skin or break me out as they only include natural ingredients. I use Lush products on a daily basis as they aren't too expensive and won't break the bank if I need to repurchase them. I have a range of products from Lush from cleaners and face washes to toners and eye creams and all of them I have fallen for as they really works for me. You can tell how much I love the brand with the number of products I have in my skincare collection!

I have ... Enchanting Eye Cream, Eau Roma Toner Water, Ultrabland Facial Cleanser, Kalamazoo Beard and Facial Wash, Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub, Dark Angels Face and Body Cleanser and lastly Angels on Bare Skin Face and Body Cleanser.

The Pamper Skincare - Origins
I love using Origins skincare for a pamper night product as the masks in their range are so good at refreshing your skin. I tried one mask many moons ago and fell in love with how it left my skin, so tried another one and then it snow balled into to buying a new mask every time I visit Bicester! Origins know how to make a good mask and all their masks make my skin feel cleansed and polished after I use them. You get a generous amount in the packaging too so they can last you for ages which means less money you are having to spend. Again some Origins products can be pricey but they do sell them in discount shops and obviously at duty free. After trying the face masks I moved on to buying a moisturiser from the Gin Zing range which I love as much as my Clinique Moisturiser!

I have ... Original Skin Retexturising rose clay mask, GinZing Refreshing Face Mask, Out Of Trouble 10 Minute Mask and Drink Up 10 Minute Mask.

New in Lip Products

round up, lip, products, makeup, nyk, soap and glory, bosyshop, lip gloss, lip stain

In the last few weeks I have purchased a few extra little lip treats for myself (because I deserve a treat for no reason) and I wanted to show them to you since I am a little excited about them. Where I live I don't have any Boots shops that stock NYK products, not even the MK store has them! So when I went to Leicester with my boyfriend and friends and noticed they has a NYK counter, well I was quite embarrassing if I do say so myself. I had to leave with something so I picked up the Butter Gloss in shade 15 Angle Food Cake. It is a mauve coloured nude which is my favourite lip colour at the moment as you can tell from my previous post. I love a lip gloss recently and after trying this butter gloss I am excited to get a few more shades.

My next purchase was the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipgloss (see the theme here?) in Plumsup. I had an old Sexy Mother Pucker lipgloss in my stash that just needed to be thrown away so I re-purchased a new one and I forgot how tingly it made my lips! The sensation is probably the best thing about the product and then there is the plumping of my lips. I don't have small lips anyway but sometimes you do want your lips to be bigger and juicer. Again this shade is my favourite nudey shade which I know I will get a lot of use out of.

Lastly I picked up the Bodyshop Lip and Cheek Stain in Deep Berry 029 as a whim really. I didn't have any in my collection yet and I wanted a shade which I knew would be something I could get a lot of use out of and this dark berry colour is perfect for me. It is very pigmented but a watery consistently like most lip stains, I find that this lasts longer on my lips then the products I have tried years ago. I usually apply a small amount on my lips with the wand and then use my finger to blend it out and cover every inch of my lips. It dries quickly and then lasts for ages on my lips which is why I wanted it, it makes it look like I have permanent rosey lips which only you guys will know is not true.

August favourites

august, bourjois, Clinique, dior, favourite, MAC, makeup, Miss Sporty, newlook. beauty, Products, rimmel,

There has been a few products that I haven't stopped using this August, to the point where I have turned my room upside down because I can't find them (they were in my hand bag for the record). I have mentioned the Dior Pore Minimizer Primer before in a post looking at my Dior Collection and I did say that I rarely use this product because it is expensive and a present from a relative. This month I stopped hiding it in my draw and whipped it out for some uses, I mean there is no point holding onto a product for it just to go off! It is a great product and leaves my skin so soft. I don't have a problem with big pores thankfully but when my skin has been red and patchy, this product has smoothed out my problems ready for my next products. I do believe it keeps my foundation on for longer as I used it when I spent the whole day in Leicester where it was windy and rained on and off, when I got home my foundation was still in tack and looking good.

My first and favourite loose powder that I like to use is the Newlook Pure Colour Loose Powder in Translucent. I used pressed powders for years and never wanted to try loose powders before until I decided to try out this powder from Newlook. I have now jumped on the bang wagon and wouldn't go back to my Rimmel Pressed Powder. It is great at keeping my under eye makeup in place all day and doesn't make my skin turn cakey or give me spots. That was one thing I was worried about with loose powder as you tend to use more product but I didn't need to worry. It can get messy and from now on I do keep my pot on the top of my draws as it gets messy when it moves around in my draws but it is easy to clean with a brush.

I have been going in between two different concealers this month and the first one is the Miss Sporty Concealer in Light. This is great at brightening my eye area and different points around my face. It is really creamy and easy to blend in which makes making my eye bags a thing of the past. It doesn't have a high coverage so I wouldn't use this on problem areas but it is a great eye concealer. My other concealer is the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in 01 Ivory. Again I use this concealer on my under eye area and it is great at brightening that area. This product is a thicker consistency than the Miss Sporty product so it takes a bit more to blend it in. I like going in between these two products depending on how much makeup I am putting on that day and how bad my bags are.

I have two lip products I have been all over this month and they are Mac Cremesheen in Delight and Clinique Colour Pop in Bare Pop. Yes I know I have mentioned Clinique Bare Pop why too much in my lifetime but I just love it sooooo much! I will try and stop talking about it but I can't promise anything... The Mac Delight on the other hand I think I have hardly mentioned which I am shocked about. It is the perfect lip gloss in shade and product, the shade is a perfect pinky nude which is great for everyday makeup and goes with any makeup look. The consistency is kinda thick but not so thick that your lips feel suffocated, it sinks into your lips and leaves them with a glossy colour on you lips which isn't sticky.

Lastly a hair product that I have been using for months now but it hasn't made its way into my favoruites before now is the Urban Therapy Twisted Sista Different Strokes Serum which I apply to wet hair before I leave it to dry. This gives my hair moisture, stops it going frizzy when it is dried and leaves it super smooth and shinny when it is dry. When I don't use this product my hair feels dry and rough and doesn't sit well whatever I try to do with it. I couldn't live without this product to be honest.

What products have you loved in August?

Bath Time With Lush

lush, bath, products, skincare, soap and glory, the comforter, rub rub rub, d'fluff, bubble bar,

I love a good bubble bath after a long busy day and at the minute I am thankful to Lush for keeping me happy and relaxed with their products. My current bubble bar that I am working my way through is the Brightside Bubble Bar which turns my bath into a bright orange juice coloured mess, which I am loving and finding so relaxing to sit in. Plus it adds a bit of magic to my bath. To wash my skin I am loving using my Comforter Shower Cream which is also a favourite of Cal's too. Whenever he is round he uses it in the shower and I'm sure that's where most of it has gone! The smell is so yummy and a little goes a long way! It remind us both of Calpol which we both used to take as kids. It is really refreshing when I am feeling really groggy and helps wake me up in the morning. Plus it is bright pink which I love.

To scrub my skin I love using the Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub from Lush which I got as a present for my Birthday. It is bright blue which obviously I love! It is a really thin consistency so it is super easy to spread around your body and I can really feel it working on my dry areas of skin. You don't need a lot of product to work your whole body till it is super soft. Lastly the only product I use to shave my body is the D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Cream which has been a holy grail product for me for years now. I have spoke about this loads of times before so you're probably sick of it but I certainly aren't! This product makes shaving my body so easy and so smooth. I haven't cut myself once while using this and it leaves my skin so silky smooth. I always get people to touch my legs after I've shaved using this and I mean, I see someone in the street that I know and I get them to touch my legs...

Lush has been a firm favourite of mine for shower and bath products for years now, sometimes I mix my products up and add a few extra other products into the equation to make a change but I always end up coming back to these products. I am planning on doing a similar post all about my Soap and Glory products that I also love using during bath time. If there are any products you think I should try comment them below!

Favourite Autumn Lip Colours | Red

Since the autumn season has started I have got back into wearing bold lip colours, over the summer months I had stayed away from wearing lipsticks just because I had had a lot of no makeup days. So now that it is getting colder I have been wearing lipsticks for whats feels like everyday!

Here are some of my favourite lip colours for the autumn season, and I know in the photo they all look like the same colour but I promise they are all different! haha

Avon in Chilli

This lipstick is my number favourite of this time of year as it is super moisturising on my lips and never dries them out like other lipsticks, especially when the weather is colder than usual. The shade is really nice dark red that isn't too much during the day time but can also be worn at night on a night out with a full face of makeup. It lasts a good few hours but you might just need to reapply it after you've eaten.

Mua Power pout in Crazy in Love

I love this lip product so so much! It is a great colour unlike anything I had already and although it looks red in the photo it is more of a mix between a purple/maroon/hint of red, the colour is really hard to describe but it looks great on the lips. It has a little shimmer to it that looks subtle on the lips and not like you've dipped your lips in glitter.

Rimmel colour show off in Be Bold

You cant really go wrong with Rimmel lipsticks I think, when it comes to lip products Rimmel are always on form in my opinion, that is why I have two Rimmel lipsticks in this list. This colour show off lipstick is something that I always come back to, its easy to apply and top up and lasts a good amount of time before you need to.

Rimmel Kate moss in 22

This Kate Moss lipstick is a little more subtle then the colour show off lipstick as it isn't so bright and looks a bit more natural on. It is a deep but bright red at the same time and has a slight shimmer to it which isn't too in your face. It lasts as good as any other lip product too.

Revlon colorburst in Wild Watermelon

This lip butter was one of the first lip products I ever bought and I have been in love with it right from the start. The texture of this product is so rich and soothing, you wouldn't need to ever use a lip balm before applying it because It moisturises your lips so much, you have no need too. I wrote a post months and months ago about my four  Revlon Lip Butters which you can click on to take a look at. The only downside to the lip butters is that they don't last that long because they are so creamy BUT I will take that for such a good lip product, I don't mind reapplying them often.

Empties #1

I'm going to start doing 'empties' posts where I share with you the products that I have used up recently and give my opinions about the items. I didn't realise how enjoyable it would be to use up a product and think 'oo yay I have another item for my empties post', I know I'm extremely sad... Anyway, every time I have finished a product I have popped it in this box, awaiting the time it would make a reappearance on my side for me to write about it here for you, and there are quite a few products in the box now so here we go :)

Soap and Glory Night in Shinning Amour
This is the first night cream I've ever properly used and I would definitely recommend it. Firstly the packaging is really cute, and secondly it is a good night cream. It smells alright... not the best smelling cream I'll be honest, it doesn't have the normal Soap and Glory smell for sure but its not a nasty smell. It does hydrates your skin really well though, my skin always feels really smooth the next morning when I wake up.

FCUK polished body wash
I got a FCUK set for my birthday or Christmas a few years ago and I only started using it recently and it included this body wash. It smells really nice, it makes your skin soft and smooth and is easy to apply without wasting any, and it lasted a long time with me and I am really bad are using too much product. It's a product I'd repurchase for sure.

FCUK pure shower scrub
So in the FCUK set I got this shower scrub as well which I loved even more than the body wash. I really felt it work on my skin without hurting me skin or being too rough on it. I did mention it in my February Favourites post as I continuously used it throughout the month of February which is why it is now empty.

Pink Pour Femme revitalizing shower gel
Sticking with the shower theme I also used up this shower gel which again I got in a set for either a birthday or Christmas a few years back. This was the shower gel I used in between using my FCUK body wash so I didn't get too bored with it and I continued when my FCUK one ran out. This product smells really nice and foamed really well in the shower so I only needed to apply a small amount.

Dove summer glow moisturiser with subtle gradual self-tanners
This has been the product that I have used to give myself a tan for years now, my sister introduced me to it and since then whenever I wanted to look like I had a tan I would it, keep it topped up for a while and then forget about it or become too lazy to keep applying it. Anywho I have finished the bottle now and all in all it is a good moisturising tanner which gave me a natural glow and lasted for a good few days with just one application.

Clean and Clear blackhead clearing daily scrub
I still have maybe two uses of this product still but by the time I upload this post I will have finished it so I thought I would just include it. During my patch of troubled skin I have been using this product quite a lot to tone down the spots around my chin. It is a good daily scrub (even though I didn't really use it daily all the time) and did help get rid of some nasty spots with the help of other spot control products. I think I will have to repurchase this product or a similar one for my next breakout. The one bad thing about this scrub is that it sometimes smells like fart... I don't know how and I don't know why but sometimes when I use it I can definitely smell a fart like scent and it is not me! haha its not that bad and it doesn't make your face smell but you can definitely notice it while your washing you face.

Rimmel Wake me up foundation in Ivory 100
I don't really need to say much about this foundation to you guys because I already rave about it too much, and now the sad time has come where it has finally run out :( This little pot has lasted me since late last year and I have practically wore it nearly everyday. It gives a good coverage, it makes your skin glow and leaves a shimmer on the skin that you can see in certain lights and it is long lasting. I have already brought a new foundation to try as I didn't want to stick to the same products all the time but I am seriously considering repurchasing this foundation soon just because I love it so much. What's the harm in another foundation right?!

Have you tried any of these products?
What do you think of them?
Do you have an recommendations for me? :)
