Life Update | We have a moving in date!!

I have some very exciting news... We have a date for our new house! The house is going to be released to us on Friday the 16th of May which means in two weeks we will officially own our first house! Last week we visited the house to see the progress and so I have some photos to show you guys because I know you love to be as nosey as I do. I don't have photos of every room as some of them are simply a room with white walls and a door. Also the flooring in each room wasn't laid until the day after we visited so I don't have any photos for you.

The Kitchen
Firstly in the kitchen all our cupboards and doors are in place as well as our cooker which I couldn't take a proper photo of because I wasn't allowed to walk on the floor. We were a bit scared to see the kitchen cupboards at first because we didn't know if our dark colour schemes would work but we both love how they have turned out. We love the big window on the front of the house because it lets in so much light into the room.

The Downstairs Toilet

I think out downstairs toilet is super cute and simple which is what we want. We are thinking of putting a huge mirror along to wall just to give the space something. In the show house the little toilet had a small window which let in light but because we are in between two house that isn't possible which is slightly annoying.

The Main Bathroom
The one thing I don't like about the house so far are the taps that have been installed because they remind me of school taps and I find you can't scoop up water properly because the taps are too close to the basin, I also don't like have a separate hot and cold tap as I either burn myself with boiling hot water or freezing cold water. Apart from that disappointment I love the rest of the bathroom especially the shelf which is behind the sink and toilet which we will put another long mirror on the wall and I can store everyday products on the shelf. Life Update | We have a moving in date!! The On Suite
I love our on suite bathroom I think it is the perfect size and it has a sky light in the roof which is going to make the room so light. We have different tiles for the main bathroom and the on suite which I really like now they are in and makes the rooms not look identical. We also love that we have a bath and a shower as I am a big fan of both, I have always had a shower/bath so having a proper shower is a wish come true.

The Garden
Our grass hadn't been laid by the time we took this photo so hopefully when we move in in two week most of the grass will have come through. Also at the end is a photo of our garden (the left one) which has space for two cars to park in front which is real bonus for a couple with two cars.

What I've Been Reading Lately #3

What I've Been Reading Lately #3

You all know how much I love to read and I have three amazing books which I have read lately that I want to talk to you about. You can read my first book post here and my second post here.

The first book I want to talk about is called Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon. I read this book in just one sitting and loved it so much. What first made me want to read the book is I saw the advert for the film version and fell in love. The book is based on a girl called Maddy who has bubble child disease which means she is allergic to the world, she hasn't step outside into the world for the last 17 years. Then she falls in love and her world basically changes and I was totally rooting for Maddy and Olly (the boy who catches her eye) and I am not going to lie... it did make me cry at times. Not to ruin the book for anyone but Maddy finds something out during the book which completely changes her life. I don't usually like to read books about ill people mainly because I become so invested in books that they upset me too much but I am so glad I read this book. Because I had already watched the trailer for the film I could picture the scenes perfectly and think the actors that were chosen were perfect for the characters. Plus I have loved Nick Robinson since Melissa and Joey and Jurassic Park.

My next book I want to talk about is called On The Other Side by Carrie Fletcher. I love Carrie as a person and her first fiction book is brilliant. It is beautifully written and a really heart felt story which made me cry at a few different points. The story follows a old women called Evie who at the beginning of the book dies and the book starts with her starting her passage into the afterlife at her old apartment building in her younger body. For her to actually enter into her afterlife she has to unburden some of her past and secrets to her loved ones which are still alive for her to be light enough to pass through to her next chapter. I think this book would really make people sit back and look at their life and their choices and say 'would I do that again?' The book is a love story and a very romeo and Juliet style of forbidden love. The stand out character for me is not the main couple, it is the second character Jim who is so sweet and so understandingly that I feel in love with him more the Vincent who is Evie's love interest.

The last book I have read lately is called A Summer At Sea by Kate Frorde. This book has made me realise I need a break away from my life so that is high on my agenda once I have moved into my house! The story follows Emily who is having troubles which her job as a midwife where she lives so she takes some time off to help an old friend who owns a puffer boat. Of course, she falls in love because I love a good love story and Alasdair her life interest is very old fashioned which I like. It is based in Scotland which I found really interesting and makes me want to take a puffer cruise around the Scotland coast like in the book. This book is really light hearted and made me smile while I read it.
