With Christmas coming up (100 days to go as I write this!) I have been online shopping a lot recently so that I can get some ideas for beauty products I want as a present -yes Cal this is your hint... So I thought that I'd make a list of all the products I have my eye on as I also love reading these posts.
Iconic London Illuminator Drops - Link
I have had my eyes on this highlighter ever since Steph from Cocochic first tested it in a video and made me fall in love. I like liquid highlighters which are natural but also pack a punch, with the original shade a light hand can look really natural and glowing from within.
Elf aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eye Shadow - Link
These Liquid eye shadows look amazing! You all should know by now that if I can be lazy I will so liquid eye shadows are my favourite invention ever because they are so easy to use. The shade range of this product is perfect for Christmas with all the golden glitter shades.
Beauty Pie Foundation - Link
I have had my eye on this brand ever since it first appeared on the scene but I've seen a mixture of reviews on the products and a lot of people debating whether it is worth the subscriber fee but I still want to try it. I love the packaging of all the products and the foundation really is the product I want to try the most.
Loreal Nude Cushion Foundation - Link
Even though this is a reasonably cheap foundation on the drug store I am still to try it and I can't wait. I love light foundations which make my skin look dewy and healthy and a cushion foundation sounds right up my street. Every time I go into Boots or Superdrug I always forget to pick one of these foundations up so that is my mission in the next month.. If I remember.
Bare Mineral Complexion Rescue - Link
Everyone seems to have this bb gel in their makeup collection and this sounds like a great product for dry skin which I am really suffering with at this moment. Again I like to wear light formulas which show my skin through them so this sounds perfect for me.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette - Link
Who doesn't want this palette? I think by Christmas everyone will have this palette in their collection if they don't have it already. I live for brown plum tones with a bit of shimmer especially during the end of the year when all I am wearing in mustard, brown and black clothing.

Stila Magnificent Metal Glitter Glow Liquid Eyeshadow - Link
These liquid eye shadows are absolutely beautiful! I love liquid eye shadows for nights out because I am lazy and don't know how to blend properly so these are a god send when I want to look good on a night out. I want all the gold glitter shades which basically 6 out of the 9 shades.

Most people would associate summer time with bright lip colours and daring shades. Then there is me, who wears the same shade of lipstick everyday from 5 different brands, I am a creature of habit. My current favourite shade is this soft nudey brown, which is not much different than my normal lip colour but better. I have quite a few different shades of this colour which I go between a lot of the time and I love them all equally as they are my favourite formula (which is moisturising and glossy for the record)
Even though I love all these lipsticks more or less equally, I do have one which I wear the most out of all of these 5 lipsticks and that is my Bodyshop lipstick. Sadly I can't find this style or shade anywhere on the website and the tube doesn't have a name or shade number which is really annoying. Anyway I love this lipstick because it is so moisturising on my lips, it reminds me more of a lip balm than a lipstick but unlike a lip balm, the colour consistency is amazing. I usually first put the lipstick on first thing before I leave the house and then once after I have had my lunch at work and it lasts the rest of the time no problem. It keeps my lips hydrated and plumped all through the day and it doesn't dry out my lips after a few hours which I love.

Rimmel lipsticks are one of my favourite as you can't go wrong with the brand, the pigmentation of their lipsticks are amazing, the shade ranges are brilliant and you can get any shade in any formula in the range. I have three currently that I always pick up and they are the Moisture Renew in 220 Heather Shimmer, Moisture Renew Sheer and Shine in 400 Good Mauve and Lasting Finish Lipstick in 066 Heather Shimmer. Now although I have two lipsticks with the same name they are slightly different as you can see on the swatches so I haven't wasted my money. I love these lipsticks because they keep my dry lips moisturised and the colour pay off is amazing as you can see in the photo below.
My last lipstick which is becoming a new favourite after I had forgotten about it for a while... is the Elf Mineral lipstick in the shade Beautiful Berry. This is my favourite product I have tried from Elf and for the price tag the lipstick is great quality and a beautiful colour, as the name suggests. I have just found out is has been discontinued which I am so sad about.

Something that I always forget about when I am doing my makeup is blusher, mainly because I have always been a bronze/contour girl at heart but also because I don't think I have the right face shape to use both. I try and copy people on YouTube and I look like a drag queen-true story. Even though I don't wear blushers at all I have a large collection of them in my stash which as you can tell, never get used. I really need to start shopping my stash pronto as I have put myself on a spending ban to help me save money for a mortgage, so here are a few items I am hoping to slowly start to love using in my routine.
I'll start with the newest edition to my blush collection, the Bourjois Aqua Blush in in 02 CocoriCorail. I watched lots of tutorials using this blush product and thought it would be perfect for a blush novest like me but I've never really used it apart from the first day I got. I don't know if I am using it right or not but I haven't given it the time of day at all so this product definitely needs some more love!
A sample that I have had for a long while now and always keep telling myself to use is the Benefit Benetint. The idea of it intrigues me but I always forget that I have it in my stash. I intend to start using it regularly this summer as it is a product that you can't go wrong with and its quick and easy to apply.
A very scary looking blusher is the Revlon Photo Ready blush in Coral Reef 300, this product is months old and used to be a big favourite of mine but recently I have totally forgot about it and neglected it. Even though it is really scary looking in the pan it comes across really soft and subtle when it is blended in. Perfect to give your face a little big of dimension while not being too in your face.
The Sleek blush palette by 3 in Lace I have had for donkeys years and I haven't actually used it once! What a waste! The quality of the powder products from Sleek are so good but that is what is scaring me about this trio. They aren't just pretty normal colours... they are bright babies! I am going to start using this super neglected palette with a very light hand!
My last neglected blush is the Elf blush in Mellow Mauve which I didn't buy that long ago. Even though this is a really pretty natural flushed colour I have hardly used it since purchasing it. The quality of this product is very similar to Sleek which is great for the price, but it also is subtle and builds evenly. This will be my everyday natural blush choice.

Do any of you have these products? Which one works best for you?
Working in retail usually means I have to work major holidays and events and Black Friday was definitely a big event this year. You couldn't go anywhere without seeing posters and adverts for it. I worked most of Black Friday Weekend so could only look for bargains online. I had a good look through the Elf website and found some little goodies.
I didn't expect to buy much to be honest but they had an offer where if you spent over £20 you got a free gift which was a make up set bundle and free delivery so I couldn't resist.
The first item I picked myself was the 32 piece eye shadow palette which is so dreamy. It includes 3 matte shades and 28 shimmer shades from beautiful nudes to dark browns and blacks. I can't wait to try this out I'm a big fan of all the shimmer brown shades plus the different shades of black are going to be great for smokey eyes. I also like the more stand out colours so hopefully I can create some great make up looks with them.
The next item I purchased was the Warm Studio Bronzers which screams Nars to me. The packaging is a direct copy of the Nars packaging and I love it. It includes a contour shade, a bronzer, a highlighter and a blush and I choose the Warm shade so it came with a blush that I could use as a bronzer. They all have a slight shimmer to them and again I can't wait to try this out. I think it will be perfect to carry in my handbag on the go.
The next few items where included in the free set I got. The first is a blush brush which is so so soft! The second is this blush in the shade Mellow Mauve and it is what I would call a bronzer blush because it is warm toned and can be used a bronzer. The next item is this Baked Eye Shadow in Toasted which is beautiful and very wintery/christmasy. I love ELF's baked blushes so I know I am going to love this eye shadow. Next is this Mineral Lipstick in Beautiful Berry which is a really nice autumn shade. Last are two eye products, the Expert Liquid Liner and the 3in1 Lengthen, Define and Volumize mascara.
I'm really excited to try out all of these products as ELF is a brand I haven't had a bad product from yet. You might see some of these products creep into my future favourites posts.

I'm currently spending the week round my sisters flat while she is on holiday. When i was packing a bag to come here it dawned on me that i wouldn't have all my products at hand and i would have to pick certain products to take with me.
Luckily for me I have some make up products that i always use and i swear by so filling my makeup bag wasn't hard.
For concealers I bought the two that i always use day to day. I use my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1 underneath my eyes and on my nose. Then I'll use my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer on any red or off colour skin before i put foundation on. If i have any little spots i will use this concealer on top to hide the little buggers.
For foundations i bought my two favorite ones at the moment that always leave my skin looking good and arent too heavy on my skin. My favourite out of the two is the Rimmel Match Perfection Smart Tone Technology in 230 Warm Ivory. This is a repurchase i made recently because the first ever foundation i bought was the same brand but in just Ivory. It is too light for me to use now so i needed to update a shade. The second is my Maybelline Superstay 24 hours in 010 Ivory. This is great when im having a bad skin day and i want a little more coverage. Read my review post on this (here)
For powders i bought the two that i use everyday without fail as they work perfectly for me. I'll cover my whole face with the Collection 2000 Pressed Powder in 02 Tendertouch to set my makeup. I'll then use my Miss Sporty So Matte Perfect Stay Pressed Powder in 002 Medium on my cheek bones and my temples to define them.
For my cheeks i bought my two Elf cosmetics blushers that i am in love with! The All Over Stick in 3101 Pink Lemonade and the Baked Blush in Cheeky Peachy. I wont say too much about these as i have already reviewed the All over stick (here) and the Baked Blush (here). All you need to know is they both look great on the skin and are perfect for the spring time.
For my eyes I bought my trusty Elf Mineral Eye Liner which is great at making my eyes really stand out and is really easy to blend out. For mascara i bought the Maybelline Rocket Volume Express mascara as it is perfect for everyday use and can be built up for the evening.
For my lips i have 4 lipsticks that work for me no matter what I'm wearing and where I'm going. The first is a lipstick i actually found on eBay. It may sound wear buying makeup off of eBay but it is brand new and really cheap. The make I like is Laval Classic and the shade is Mystic Pink. Now the shade names aren't really suitable for the shades that they actually are but as long as you look at the photos before you buy any then you'll know what your getting. I love this lipstick, it applies well, lasts a long time and doesn't dry out my lips when I'm wearing it. For £1 something they are definitely worth a look! (here)
The next lipstick is the Revlon Colourburst Lip butter in 063 Wild Watermelon which is a gorgeous red shade which isnt too bold to look too much on a day to day basis. These lip butters are so nourishing on my lips, they feel like lip balms.
The next lipstick is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in shade 086 Sugarplum. Its great to add a pop of colour to a dull outfit.
The last lipstick is probably my favourite out of all of them. Its a Avon lipstick in the shade is Rosey Gold. It is a lovely colour that looks great on the lips because of the shimmer it has to it. Again it is really moisturising on the lips so feels great on.
And there you go my Travel Make Up Bag is complete. Look out for my Travel Shower Bag post coming up soon! xx

I recently purchased some blushes from the E.L.F website and to be honest I didn't know what to expect. I had never purchased anything from E.L.F before so I didn't know how good the makeup was. You'll see at the end of this how pleasantly surprised I was at how good the makeup actually is. and how CHEAP!
I picked up three different blushes in three different types to try out and I'm going to talk about my favourite two. First off I picked up their All Over Stick in Pink Lemonade which I just love. The stick is described to be for your eyes, lips and face but I just use it on my cheeks at the minute. The colour is so lovely and looks so natural on my skin so I can just pop it on without any hesitation.
I choose to rub the top of the stick on my face in a line and then use my fingers and flat brush to blend out the product. The product blends very easily and lasts all day on my face. It gets a thumbs up from me!
Secondly, and more excitedly, I picked up the HD blush in Superstar. This is my first HD blush and I have been converted. I thought it would be really messy and transfer all around my face but it is really easy to use and apply really well. I squeeze a little amount of product on the back of my hand and use my flat blush brush to then put the blusher on my cheeks. It comes out really well on your face and blends really easy into the skin, you don't end up with big pink circles on your cheeks.
It looks really tacky in the photo but I put a lot on my hand so you could really see the colour of the HD blush, as you can see you only need a little bit to notice it!
The best thing both of these products is that they both last all day on my face, which I have found I cant say about other brands.
The blush stick was only £1.95 which is an absolute bargain! I couldn't quite believe the price when I saw it! The HD blush is only £4.50 which is again a bargain especially since it preforms so well and lasts so long!
I would recommend these blushes to anyone who gets bored of powder blushes or wants to try out different types of cheek products. They are worth the little bit of money you spend on them ;)
March has been a bit of a off month for me. I was terribly ill for over a week with tonsillitis (which I have never had before and didn't know you could feel so bad just from sore tonsils) and then it was my Birthday on the 2nd of April so my blog has been at the back of my mind for a while. Luckily I had a few saved posts all ready to publish while I was ill other wise I wouldn't have posted anything for a good while.
Anyway I am all better now after taking some antibiotics and I've finished my birthday celebrations so its back to the real world for me (well on Wednesday it is, I still have two days off of work yay!) I thought I wouldn't have many makeup products to talk about in this months favourites because I was feeling ill and down for half of the month but when I actually looked in my makeup draw, I realised I was picking up quite a few products and thinking *hey I've used this loads this month actually* so prepare yourself for a good handful of makeup products and some random bits and bobs! :)
The first two products I'm going to talk about are what I've been loving using in the shower this month. The first is the Boots Natural Collection Mango & Papaya body scrub. This scrub smells absolutely amazing! I'm surprised I have never mentioned this scrub before as I have had it for a month of so now but it was only this month that I really got into using it and I'm going through the bottle at a pace because I love it so much. This is the perfect scrub to use in the morning because the fruity smell really wakes you up and the scrub works really well at removing dead cells on your skin.
The second shower product I've been loving is the Soap & Glory Clean On Me shower gel. This shower wash is sooooo creamy, my skin always feels so smooth after I use it. All you need is a little product and it lathers up so much you can do your whole body with the little amount. I am using this small bottle I got in a set for Christmas but I have bought the normal size big bottle which I cant wait to use!
Now the first makeup item I've been loving this month I have already written a blog post (here) about it so I wont say too much but all you need to know is that I love Rimmel's Stay Matte liquid moose foundation, it is so easy to wear and really works for my skin.
My second makeup product is the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. I bought this product with the intention of using it under my eyes as my collection 2000 concealer was running out but alas the shade I picked up (ivory) isn't light enough to put under my eyes. So I've been using this concealer on any spots and redness on my skin underneath my foundation and I've found it works really well at evening out my skin on them days when it is quite patchy.
Next I have a brand that I haven't really used before until now, I made an order recently at ELF (after I read everyone's posts about them having a sale :( ) and picked up a few bits that I really liked the look of. I picked up their ELF Mineral Eye Liner and haven't stopped using it since it arrived. It is really easy to apply and blend out, as well as gives a defined line depending on how you apply it. It is a really good eyeliner and I would recommend it.
My last product is the ELF Baked Blush in Peachey Cheeky which I feel like I say this about everything but I have used it non-stop since I received it. The colour is a gorgeous peachey colour (obviously) which is also really natural on my cheeks but you can built to it to make it more prominent on your cheek bones. I also bought two other ELF blushes which I have wrote their own post about so look out for that!
A clothing item(s) I have been loving this month is tube skirts. I may be a little late on the trend but I have tried them on before and thought that they didn't suit my shape and they made me look fat and pregnant so I obviously didn't buy them. THEN loads of different patterns came into work and I loved them all and so I told myself that I was going to make them work for me and I somehow have. Instead of tucking tops into the skirts like most people do, I've been wearing baggy tops on the top of them to hide the part of my stomach that I think they accentuate and I love the look of them now. Here are some on the skirts I've picked up recently from Newlook, Select and H&M. As you can see I love bold patterns...
You are probably sick of the last item I am going to talk about as every person seems to love this film and have included it in some form of post, but I absolutely love the film Frozen! I kept hearing everyone rave about the film and sing the songs constantly and I didn't understand the hype on a kids film. Then I watched it last week and since then I have listened to the songs every day, I've downloaded the album and plan to buy the DVD next time I go out.
I am officially obsessed and I blame you all!
